Chapter 326: Chapter 326- [Godhand Ascendance] (2)
As a level 9 knight who had climbed into a realm that many can only gaze at from below, when was it the last time he felt such great pressure?
It needs to be mentioned that, as a level 9 extreme knight, there were only a handful of individuals in the entire kingdom of Aetherion who could make him feel like that.
His fellow level 9 knights, who have stepped into the realm of extreme superhumans and have further developed their powers to become a powerhouse of an existence even amongst the same level.
That said, the powerful pressure that was causing the very fabric of space to distort violently and manifest berserk phenomena in the world went way above and beyond the realm of level 9.
That left only one other explanation, and that was the man in front of him was one of the legendary knights, the ones known to have stepped into the realm of heroes, humanity’s final protector.
But the last explanation made even less sense as he knew all the heroes of Aetherion personally. The golden haired man with that eye catching armor was so conspicuous that had he been one of the level 10 heroes, he would have known…
At that second, it finally clicked in his head as to who that man was. Nevertheless, it was too late.
Reinhardt had already made his move. Using his incredible stats, he disappeared from his place and appeared before the knight, his fist already in mid motion.
“All of you get back right now,” The commander of the Luminous knight shouted. However, there was no time. That fist filled with extreme destructive strength was already upon them.
BOOM… a deafening boom, similar to thousands of TNT going out all at once, rang out in the park. The seemingly ordinary fist at first held so much raw, destructive force that one swing and everything was destroyed in a hundred meter area around them.
The Luminous knights flew back, their bodies airborne and bloodied. One move, and the opponents were already down and licking the ground. The only ones that were able to remain standing even after suffering that attack from Reinhardt were the commander and the vice commander of the Luminous Knights.
The latter was a level 8 knight with pretty great stats, plus the attack was not directed towards him. As such, he managed to survive the blast of air that his fist generated.
That said, Vice Commander still looked pretty beaten up, with one of his hands dislocated. As for the Commander, he was able to stop Reinhardt’s fist with his sword. Though he still had to pay a lot for stopping an attack from someone who had reached the realm of heroes.
His hands that gripped the sword hilt were bleeding, and the clothes around his entire arm was torn.
“Hoh” Reinhardt looked a little surprised. While he did suppress his strength to a level where it would not create too big of a damage and encompass his friends, he had still used at least Pinnacle level of stat there, the extreme of superhuman powers.
If the opponent managed to stop that, it meant that they also had one or more stats at that level. For a level 9 extreme knight, that was a great achievement and would put them on a decent level among the knights in the same realm.
Reinhardt took a good look at his opponent. Be that may, even if the other party was a level 9 knight, stopping his fist was impossible. He might be using the same level of stats as the other party; however, his body, his techniques, his posture, not to mention his divine traits, all of it put him at a higher level than the guy.
CLANG… intense sparks assaulted the area as a sword and fist collided. The stalemate that lasted for a few seconds was broken with the fist gaining complete domination.
“How is that possible? I’m using a sword over here?” The commander of the Luminous Knight looked on with disbelief.
Common sense dictated that in a clash between sword and fist, it would be the sword that would come out on top, after all, metal is harder than human flesh. What’s more, his sword was even made of Orihalcum, the strongest ore known to man.
Even a level 9 knight with the pinnacle stats would not clash with their bare bodies against a sword of that high grade. Yet the man in front of him, without suffering any damage, was still going strong.
No, forget about damage, the fist was actually pushing his sword back, and it was him who was bleeding instead.
“Impossible!!” he muttered at the last second. However, it was too late. A level 10 hero cannot be judged with common sense; what’s more, even among the heroes, Reinhardt had already stepped beyond that realm and entered the divine.
Stopping his fist was next to impossible.
“[Godhand Ascendence] First Technique: [Smite of the War Saint]” He muttered the name of one of the three Divine Arts he received from Dioanax.
[Godhand Ascendance]- an unarmed martial art technique that was also known as the ‘Path of the War Saint’. The martial art allows him to fight with his bare hands, using divine energy to strike with the force of a god.
Weapons might break, but his hands will never. What’s more, the first technique that he used, [Smite of the War Saint], releases a single overwhelming shockwave of divine energy that can even destroy mountains in a single blow.
One could imagine the predicament the commander of Luminous Knight, who was the target of the fist, was facing. At this moment, the face he made was a sight to see. As his sword, which was rapidly losing ground, was pushed back, the fist magnified in front of the eyes of the latter.
DEATH… He could see his own death approaching closer. Just as the fist was about to land on the commander of the Luminous Knight, from the side came Vaerion’s voice.
“Reinhardt, don’t kill him”.
