Chapter 1354: Say Hi To Your Future Work Colleagues [Part 1]
“So they plan to use you as cannon fodder against Camazotz?” Thirteen smirked.
“Yes.” Paimon chuckled. “Those three bastards are out to get me. But little do they know~ they’re the ones whose necks are on the chopping block.
Camazotz grinned as he listened from the side. He could already see the faces of the three Majin Princes whom Paimon would backstab very soon.
Frankly, after the great battle in the Cygni Continent, Majin Princes and Princesses were no longer a threat to him.
He had clawed his way from the bottom up. After fighting alongside Thirteen in his most dangerous battles, Camazotz had become a true veteran when it came to war.
Truth be told, the Death Bat already considered the three Majin Princes as his future subordinates.
Of course, he didn’t say this out loud. If Paimon were to find out his intentions, she might beat him to it.
On the other hand, Thirteen already understood what the Death Bat had in mind, but he didn’t care.
Camazotz had been a great ally, and letting him gain three Majin Princes as subordinates would also benefit the teenage boy.
“It will take us two more weeks to leave the desert,” Thirteen said. “Keep me updated about the plans of your… accomplices.”
“Of course.” Paimon nodded.
Although she wasn’t saying anything, she wished that the Wanderers could hurry up and traverse the desert as soon as possible.
She was already counting the number of days when she had to endure the ridicule and contempt of the three bastards, who had no idea that she was about to pay them back a hundredfold for humiliating her!
“Just so you know, after I’ve dealt with the Majin Prince, I will leave the Wanderers in your care,” Thirteen said. “Jar Jar is a good subordinate, so let him accompany them in their journey to the east. I’ll also leave Sharak with the Wanderers to serve as their bodyguard.”
After their battle with Harron, Thirteen understood that he badly needed a Flying Mount that could help him travel anywhere he wanted.
Although he had Zed, there was no way for the demihuman Roc to carry him comfortably. Thirteen simply didn’t like to travel being held in a princess carry—especially when the journey was long.
Because of this, Camazotz generously handed the Red-Eyed Carrion Lord, Harron, to Thirteen as the newest member of the teenage boy’s Monster Army.
Harron was a Rank 9 Sovereign, and with this, he now had another powerful slave—errr, subordinate under his umbrella.
“You plan to make me babysit the Wanderers?” Paimon blinked. “And where will you and Camazotz go?”
“We’re going to the Fortunate Isles,” Thirteen replied. “One of the keys to Pandora’s Treasury is there, so I plan to take it before anyone else does.”
The Order of the Apocalypse was well informed about the recent happenings in Solterra.
Some of them had already sent their scouts to gather more information about the Celestials and Fiends who were up to suspicious activities, like Zaphiel.
Whatever the brewing conflict, since it involved the Seven Celestials and Seven Fiends, the entirety of Solterra was guaranteed to be caught in the storm.
Even Metatron had hinted that a great war would soon fall upon their world, and unless they managed to prepare for it, the chances of them becoming cannon fodder were quite high.
“The Fortunate Isles…” Paimon muttered. “Well, I hope you succeed. But it’s you, after all. I believe you’ll come up with a plan against your opponents.”
Paimon had once disdained Thirteen’s trinity with Camazotz and Kamrusepa. But now that she was part of their group, she realized that she might have unexpectedly joined the winning team among the factions within the Order of the Apocalypse.
Thirteen seemed to have some mysterious powers, as well as helpers who would come whenever he was in trouble.
The Monkey King who had participated in the war in Artem was proof that the teenage boy had friends from high places.
Also, the staff that the Monkey King wielded reminded her of the same staff that Thirteen had used to fight against the ancient Eight-Headed Serpent, who was a Majin King.
Camazotz was raring to go on his adventure with Zion.
Whenever he accompanied the young man in battle, he would always gain something. May it be subordinates or treasures, he had never left empty-handed.
Right now, Camazotz had the strongest army among the Order of the Apocalypse. It consisted of a handful of Archons, which he had snatched in the war in the Cygni Continent, as well as dozens of Rank 8 and Rank 9 Sovereigns.
His achievement was enough to make the other members of the order turn green with envy!
After chatting for a few more minutes, Thirteen and Camazotz returned to Solterra.
The Wanderers’ morale was quite high after their recent victories against the armies of the three Majin Princes.
They had regained a little bit of their confidence, and their trust in Zion also grew drastically.
The teenage boy didn’t hold back and frankly told them that failing the mission given to them by the God of Wanderers was the only way for them to survive.
However, he made a promise that he would find a way to clear their final mission, allowing everyone to return to Pangea.
After two more weeks of traveling, they finally saw the boundary of the desert, making them sigh in relief.
It had been a long, exhausting journey, and the change of scenery lifted their spirits.
But after Thirteen reminded them that the armies of the Majin Princes would be waiting for them after they left the desert, they once again felt tension in the air.
“You kids have nothing to worry about,” Camazotz said, while sitting on top of the Desert King Snake’s head. “As long as I’m here, I have your back.”
Sharak, whose head was being used as a chair, calmly led the Wanderers out of the desert.
It had accepted its fate to become Thirteen’s subordinate, especially after meeting Metatron in the Domain of the Apocalypse.
