System's POV - Chapter 1352
Chapter 1352: Bullying A Majin Princess
“Paimon, explain yourself!” Valac shouted as soon as Paimon arrived at their meeting spot.
“You have a lot of explaining to do, Paimon,” Sahard commented. “Are you trying to break our pact?”
The third Majin Prince, Welkin, said nothing and simply observed his colleagues with a calm expression.
The news of Valac’s and Sahard’s armies being defeated in the Samara Desert had also reached his ears. He had even ordered his troops to withdraw for the time being, biding his time to have a better understanding of what was happening in the desert.
“What do you mean I need to do a lot of explaining?” Paimon asked back before sitting in her chair. “Before you two accuse me of something, can you sit down and talk civilly? We’re not in some kind of human market, you know?”
Valac glared at the beautiful woman and reined in his anger.
Sahard did the same. They both sat down to finally start their emergency meeting, which they arranged to tackle the events happening in the Samara Desert.
“Let me be perfectly clear,” Paimon said after seeing that everyone was waiting for him to say something. “I’m not the one who attacked your armies. My troops noticed a group of Wanderers numbering in the thousands walking inside my domain.
“I sent Jar Jar to investigate what these Wanderers were after. My army waited for them to reach the oasis, and just as they were having a proper discussion, your army suddenly appeared, Valac.”
Paimon glared at the Majin Prince with whom she didn’t get along very well. In fact, the oasis where Jar Jar met with Thirteen was still being contested by their two armies because Valac wanted to have it for his own men’s convenience.
Since the oasis was between the borders of their two domains, they had been debating as to who those lands belonged to.
“Not only did they get in the way of my subordinate’s attempt to understand why the Wanderers suddenly appeared in the desert, but they even attacked my army. How can you explain that?”
“Explain?” Valac sneered. “Why should I explain anything to you? My army attacked because you were trespassing on my domain.”
“Hah? Very funny.” Paimon sneered back. “You think your subordinates can bully my subordinates just because they are weaker than yours? Well, look what happened.
“Those Wanderers not only defeated Sharak’s army, but they even wiped out their entire forces in the Samara Desert. If you want to blame someone, blame your subordinates for being stupid like you!”
“You dare?!” Valac hissed angrily.
The Majin Prince’s real body was a three-headed snake. But in his demi-human form, he only had a single head. And now, he was very tempted to sink his fangs on the hateful Majin Princess who had just called him stupid!
“Calm down, Valac,” Welkin commented from the side. “We are here to discuss the facts of what happened. Sahard, did Paimon’s army attack your troops in the desert?”
“No,” Sahard replied. “My subordinates who managed to escape told me that a Bat-Type Majin Prince appeared. This Majin Prince is also the reason why most of my army in the desert has been captured or killed by the enemy.”
“See?” Paimon scoffed. “It’s very obvious that those Wanderers were the servants of this Bat-Type Majin Prince. That’s also the reason I am here. Jar Jar confirmed that the Wanderers were indeed scouting the desert under the control of the Majin Prince named Camazotz.
“He is a Death Bat, and according to the report, he is a very cunning and dangerous individual. I propose that we discuss how to best deal with the outsider who dared to enter our domain.”
Seeing the rage on Paimon’s face and her determination to eliminate the rogue Majin Prince made Valac and Sahard calm down for a bit.
They always believed that Paimon was the weakest among the four of them, and because of this, their armies had repeatedly bullied her army many times in the past.
Even Welkin believed that Paimon had nothing to do with this. Her words were convincing, and they had never seen a Bat-Like Majin Prince nor heard the name Camazotz before.
“Well, then. What do you suggest we do?” Valac asked. “Should we move our army to annihilate those Wanderers first?”
Paimon nodded. “Yes. I think that’s the best plan. We need to kill those Wanderers to lure out Camazotz, then we will kill him together. Since he will probably fight in the sky, Sahard and I will face him.
Valac and Welkin couldn’t fly, so their best option was to indeed let Paimon and Sahard deal with the Death Bat.
“According to my subordinates, the Wanderers have Rank 8 and Rank 9 Sovereigns,” Sahard said. “But this will not be a problem if Valac and Welkin faced them with their army.”
Both Majin Princes nodded in agreement. They had no issues with this since mere Rank 8 and Rank 9 Monsters didn’t pose a threat to them.
“According to my scouts, they are now headed to the East. They should arrive in my territory in two to three weeks,” Sahard added. “You can also send your own scouts to monitor their movements.
“However, I propose that we gather our elite forces in my domain, so we can destroy this threat before it becomes a bigger threat.”
Valac hesitated, but since he wanted to avenge his subordinates, he added a condition.
“Paimon’s Army must lead the charge against the Wanderers,” Valac stated. “My army and Welkin will provide support from the rear.”
“Bastard, are you trying to sacrifice my army to weaken my forces?” Paimon replied icily.
“What are you talking about, Paimon?” Valac smirked. “We need to lure that Death Bat, so Welkin and I should hide our armies first.
“If our enemy sees that our forces are too numerous, he might retreat without caring for his men. This is the best strategy to use. What do you guys think?”
“I approve of this,” Sahard replied. “Valac is right. If we show the enemy our full strength, they would just retreat and not show themselves.”
“I agree to this plan as well.” Welkin nodded. “As long as that Death Bat appears, our army will move to eliminate it in one fell swoop.”
Paimon gritted her teeth as the three bastards teamed up to force her into agreeing to an unreasonable request.
“You better pray that we kill that Death Bat,” Paimon said through gritted teeth. “Otherwise, I will not forgive the three of you for life.”
The Majin Princes didn’t reply. But deep in their hearts, they were laughing in contempt at Paimon’s weak attempt to make them feel guilty.
However, none of them knew that the beautiful Majin Princess was also laughing at them internally. Frankly, she couldn’t wait to step on their faces so that she could vent decades of resentment that she had kept hidden inside her heart.
Now that they had a viable strategy to bait Camazotz to make an appearance, they then talked about the positioning of their armies.
The three Majin Princes made sure that the one who would lose the most subordinates in the battle was Paimon, making her more miserable than ever before.
