Chapter 1348: Border Crossing
“Are we really doing this, Sir?” Jar Jar asked anxiously.

“That’s right,” Thirteen replied without hesitation.

Instead of traveling within the boundaries of Paimon’s domain, they were dangerously headed to the territory of the neighboring Majin Prince.

Originally, they should be heading west, yet here they were, heading northwest.

The Wanderers also felt anxious because Thirteen had been direct with them. He casually told them that they would go to the territory of a Majin Prince and cause trouble.

“Zion, this plan of yours is unreasonable,” Roland said in a serious tone.

“That’s right!” Derek nodded in agreement. “Why would we piss off a Majin Prince? Are you out of your mind, Master?”

The other Wanderers also voiced their disagreement in regards to antagonizing a Majin Prince, strongly appealing to Zion’s common sense.

Thirteen blinked. “I see. To think I misunderstood you guys. You could’ve just told me that you’re excited to piss off the army of a Celestial. My bad. Very well, let’s hurry to Mount Olympus and give that Celestial our middle fingers. Maybe he will have mercy and annihilate us in the blink of an eye.”

“Um, we’re not that in a hurry, Zion.” Roland coughed lightly. Clearly, fighting the Celestial Army was more dangerous than pissing off a Majin Prince. “We can take our time reaching Mount Olympus.”

“T-That’s right, Master,” Derek stated. “Hmph! It’s just a Majin Prince. It’s not like this is the first time we’re fighting against one!”

“Yes. Let’s kill that Majin Prince!”

“”Kill!””

“”Kill!””

“”Kill!””

After Thirteen reminded them that their mission was to fight off the army of a Celestial, the Majin Prince they were supposed to offend suddenly looked cute.

The Wanderers present had participated in the war in the Cygni Continent.

They were the survivors who saw the great battle between true powerhouses, which broadened their horizon and raised their combat awareness.

“You humans are mad,” Jar Jar commented. “Are we really going to do this?”

The Red Salamander had been asking this question for the umpteenth time. Thirteen didn’t seem to be tired of the questions and promptly gave the answer casually.

“Of course, we will,” Thirteen replied. “Isn’t it exciting?”

“… If this is your definition of excitement, I’m starting to wonder how your race managed to avoid extinction all this time.” Jar Jar shook his head helplessly.

“Relax.” Thirteen smirked. “What can possibly go wrong?”

Jar Jar had the strong urge to say, “many things can go wrong,” but realized that arguing with Zion was a waste of time.

Using his special means to communicate with his Mistress, Jar Jar had confirmed that Paimon was in full support of Zion’s decision to attack the territory that belonged to Valac.

Thirteen decided to target him first since he was a Snake-Type Majin Prince, and Tiona had the ability to make any Snake-Type Monster servile to her.

Of course, there was a chance that a Majin Prince, who was far stronger than her, would resist her authority.

Thirteen wasn’t too worried though. He already had a Plan C in mind.

Two hours later, Jar Jar pointed at the mountain at a giant rock pillar that stood out over the horizon.

“Past that rock pillar is Lord Valac’s territory,” Jar Jar. “We refer to it as the Dunes of the Serpent Lord. The moment we cross that border, we will be discovered by their border guards and patrols. Maybe we should go back while we still can.”

“There’s no point in going back,” Thirteen replied. “We have already offended Valac after capturing Sharak and his subordinates. Since we couldn’t kill all of his minions, I’m sure Valac already knows that a new faction has appeared in the Samara Desert.

“As for us, we can tell them that we are forced to run away in this direction because the enemies who defeated Sharak were blocking our path.”

Jar Jar shook his head firmly. “Even if we use this excuse, they won’t allow us to enter their domain so easily. In fact, they might attack us right away because of the incident with Sharak.”

“It doesn’t matter if they attack us or not,” Thirteen replied. “As long as Valac isn’t personally there, no one can stop us.”

Jar Jar was about to refute the teenage boy’s words, but after pondering for a while, he realized that the other party was right.

With Rocky, Giga, Blacky, Hercules, and the rest of Thirteen’s monster army, they wouldn’t necessarily be on the losing side if a battle suddenly took place.

“Fine.” Jar Jar gritted his teeth. “I just hope that we won’t die because of this madness.”

Two hours later, their group neared the giant rock pillar, which was the boundary of Paimon’s and Valac’s two territories.

When they were only a kilometer away from the pillar, several snakes emerged from the desert sand and blocked their path.

“Stop!” a Snake Demihuman shouted. “This is the territory of Lord Valac! Jar Jar, what business do you have here?!”

“So it’s you, Sir Taz,” Jar Jar recognized the border captain of Valac’s territory. “I deeply apologize for our transgression. Some powerful monsters appeared and blocked our path. This is the only direction we can go to avoid being killed by them.”

“I don’t care what your excuse is, Jar Jar,” Taz replied. “You can come up with more, and you will still not be welcome here.”

Taz was a Rank 8 Sovereign, and back then, his strength was on par with Jar Jar. However, things had changed.

Jar Jar and his subordinates had increased their rank by one stage, making the Red Salamander a Rank 9 Sovereign.

Sharak always bullied Jar Jar because he was weaker, and Taz occasionally joined the bullying.

But now, the tables have turned.

Jar Jar was now stronger than Taz, so the latter could only depend on his backing to intimidate the Red Salamander whom he had looked down on in the past.

“I’m sorry, but we can’t do that,” Jar Jar insisted. “All of us want to live, you know?”

Taz and the Serpentkins behind him, all raised their spears in preparation for battle.

“This is your last warning!” Taz shouted. “Turn back, or you will face the wrath of our Lord Valac!”

Jar Jar hesitated and glanced in Thirteen’s direction. However, the teenage boy pretended to be scared and pointed at something behind Taz and his men.

“Ah! A monster!” Valac and his subordinates hurriedly turned to look behind them but saw nothing.

The Serpentkin glared at the human, who dared to make fun of him.

“You bastard!” Taz hissed. “Are you looking down on us?!”

“Ah!” Thirteen once again pointed at something behind Taz, and his men. “A monster!”

“Kid, you’re really pushing your luck, huh?!” Taz pointed its spear at Zion. “Do you think we’re gullible? If you spout any more nonsense, I will end you!”

But as soon as Taz said those words, someone screamed from behind him.

Although he didn’t want to do it, he turned around to glare hatefully at whoever screamed without his permission.

However, when he saw a towering Hell Lord Bal-Boa looking down on him, as well as dozens of strong monsters that had appeared out of nowhere, the annoyance on Taz’s face disappeared, replaced by genuine panic.

Before Taz could even order his soldiers to escape, Thirteen’s monster army lunged forward and immediately started to battle the pitiful monsters that had nowhere to run or hide.
