System's POV - Chapter 1347
Chapter 1347: Second Chance At Enlightenment
When all the sands in the hourglass were finally depleted, Thirteen reached out into his dimensional storage and pulled out a pale-blue sea conch, its surface etched with swirling runes that faintly glowed.
Without hesitation, he raised it to his lips and blew.
A deep, resonant “BWOOOOOOOOM” sharply resounded in the surroundings, which made those who were already awake cover their ears.
However, covering their ears was of no use.
The sound of the sea conch directly affected the soul, and it was strong enough to disperse the effect of the spores that had made everyone fall unconscious.
“Mom…”
“I can’t…”
“Noooo!”
“Mistres…”
Several groans escaped the lips of those who were finally woken from their nightmare.
Many of them had tears streaming down their faces, evidence of the pain, suffering, and struggle they had all been subjected to.
Even the Red Salamander, Jar Jar, looked very pale after witnessing his death and the death of his Mistress, Paimon.
By the looks of it, it faced the one thing it feared the most in its life, which had become its nightmare.
If Thirteen didn’t wake him and everyone else, they might have already gone past the point of no return.
As the teenage boy continued to blow his sea conch, those who had woken up once again fell into a trance.
He kept on blowing the sea conch for five full minutes before coming to a stop.
“Master, what happened to them?” Derek asked. “Did they fall asleep while sitting cross-legged?”
All of the Wanderers and Jinns who had failed to wake up on their own power had sat in a lotus position, as if they were in deep meditation.
“They are currently in a revenge match against their nightmare,” Thirteen replied. “Don’t worry, they are no longer in any danger. But it might take them a few hours to wake up.”
“Then, should we camp here for the night?” Derek inquired.
“Yes,” Thirteen replied. “Those who can cook, please start cooking. I’m sure they’ll be very hungry once they wake up.”
Thirteen then glanced at Roland, who surprisingly fell into a trance as well.
It seems that his “plot armor” had truly forced him to wake up, but he also lost something in return.
Right now, he was trying to recover what he had lost so he could become whole again.
His Champion Rank was also not stable. If the Hero failed to deal with the matter, it was highly likely for him to regress in Rank.
Fortunately, Thirteen was there to set him back on the right path, allowing Roland to get a second chance at his enlightenment.
Thirteen was very tempted to go inside Rocky’s Mobile Fortress, and from there, teleport to the Domain of the Apocalypse.
He wanted to talk to Paimon about a few things, which would definitely break the balance within the Samara Desert.
As the sun set over the horizon and the darkness consumed the desert, Thirteen’s Demons finally returned with their haul of the spores they collected by following the jellyfish.
They deposited everything they had inside Rocky’s Mobile Fortress, and from there, tossed it to the Domain that belonged to Zion within the Domain of the Apocalypse.
For now, he had asked Tiona to relay what to do with the spores that they had collected to Evuvug, Glenn, and Ossan .
He believed that even without him, these three Mind-Controlling Jinns would gain enlightenment from their effects.
‘I can’t leave these guys behind,’ Thirteen looked at the Wanderers who were under deep meditation. ‘If we are attacked at this time or their meditation is disrupted, they might suffer from brain damage.’
He didn’t want to risk the possibility coming true, so he assigned the awake Wanderers to properly set up a night watch, preventing them from getting attacked out of nowhere.
Of course, Thirteen’s Demons had also spread out after doing their task and were keeping an eye on their surroundings.
Giga, Rocky, Hercules, the Ogres, and the Trolls had also come out of the Mobile Fortress, acting as guards and ensuring everyone’s safety.
At around ten in the evening, the Wanderers opened their eyes one by one.
A collective ripple of power expanded in the surroundings, gaining great intensity as they were augmented by each other’s awakening.
Jar Jar unleashed the strongest power of all as its Rank jumped into the initial stages of a Rank 9 Sovereign.
The Red Salamander looked at its claws in disbelief because it had finally reached the Rank it had been dreaming of for decades.
The Jinn then looked at the teenage boy, who was responsible for all of this, and bowed in his direction as a sign of respect.
The other Jinns did the same because they, too, had advanced in their rank.
‘If only I knew that we would receive such a blessing, I would have brought my entire army here with me.’ Jar Jar sighed in regret.
If all of them had ranked up, his Mistress’s army might have become the strongest among the four factions that were contending for territories.
“Okay, Jar Jar, you take over for now,” Thirteen said. “I’m going to talk with Paimon.”
“Understood, Sir,” Jar Jar replied.
While he didn’t know how the teenage boy would be able to talk with his Mistress, he no longer questioned its authenticity.
Paimon had asked him to treat Zion with respect, like he did to her.
Upon entering Rocky’s mobile fortress, Thirteen entered the Domain of the Apocalypse.
He chatted with Evuvug, Gwenn, and Ossan for a while before he sent a message to Paimon, asking to talk inside the domain.
When the Majin Princess appeared, Thirteen told her everything that had happened since he had met with her subordinate, Jar Jar.
When she heard what the teenage boy planned to do, she immediately thought that he had gone crazy.
However, when she remembered Thirteen’s Pseudo-God Form, she decided that she shouldn’t use common sense when dealing with the teenage boy.
“Are you really going to do this?” Paimon asked. “I thought you only planned to pass through the desert through my territory and head to Mount Olympus. Are you not afraid that taking a detour might make you fail your mission?”
“Not really,” Thirteen replied without hesitation. “Even if we fail this first mission, I’ll find a way to deal with it. I believe your problem should be prioritized for the time being.”
Paimon didn’t know if she should be happy or worried about this sudden turn of events. However, knowing how unpredictable Zion was, a part of her was looking forward to what would happen next.
