Supreme Harem God System - Chapter 2176
2176: Heaven’s Reward.
2176: Heaven’s Reward.
[[[Ara#@$$ is being attacked!]]] The voices were overlapped, but both Seraphielle and Lord Light realized what was happening… Another attack.
And this time- Ten High-Level Worlds were being attacked at the same time!
“What…?” Lord Light blinked as he slowly turned toward Seraphielle.
The Light Infinity stared at the Orb; there was no change in her expression, but Lord Light knew… Seraphielle Light was enraged.
The enemy was openly challenging them.
In an instant, Lord Light knew-they were done for.
For a moment, Seraphielle closed her eyes, connecting her vision with all of the Light Borns at the same time.
Yes, she was using Lord Light’s ability, or more accurately, it was her ability that she had bestowed onto Lord Light.
Within a second, Seraphielle watched and analyzed everything that happened, and then-she turned toward Lord Light.
“The Anomaly doesn’t recruit.” She spoke in a low voice.
“He brainwashes its preys.” “…what?” Lord Light frowned.
How did she suddenly find it out…?
He wondered in his head, and as if knowing exactly what he was thinking-Seraphielle waved her hand, activating Lord Light’s ability on her own as he saw one of the Light Born’s visions.
That was when he finally saw it- The Anomaly’s army.
The army that, together with other Eternals… also had… Supreme Borns.
“H-He recruited them.
He recruited Light Borns!” Lord Light shouted, unable to believe the absurdity of the situation.
Recruiting others by showing their might-that Lord Light could believe-but… The Light Borns…?
Making it so they willingly betrayed Seraphielle and joined their strength was… impossible.
And it wasn’t about strength.
The enemy could be as strong as they wanted-even if the enemy had all other Supreme Worlds by their side, the Light Borns would never join them-or more precisely-they couldn’t join them.
The connection Light Borns had with the Orb of Resonance wasn’t just about communication or sharing vision-the Orb of Resonance held complete control over the Light Borns.
As long as the connection existed, be it killing them with a mere thought or even altering their memories and turning them into puppets-it was possible.
But- “T-The connection…” Lord Light, who returned to the temple, stuttered, his body flickering, unable to believe what he was seeing.
“The connection disappeared!” He spoke, staring at Seraphielle in disbelief.
This was the connection every Light Born was born with!
It was part of them!
They simply could not survive without it!
This very connection gave meaning to their existence; without it, they were just anchorless beings who did not belong anywhere- Suddenly, Lord Light’s expression changed.
He continued to stare at Seraphielle, and very quickly, he realized that she realized it as well.
“They… became a part of their Universe… giving them a new meaning to their existence.” “…” Seraphielle didn’t say anything; her eyes still did not reflect any emotions.
She had already concluded all this with just a mere gaze.
Right now- She was coming up with a counterplan.
The enemy had changed their tactics.
Before, the enemy still needed time to attack a world, force its Will to come out, and devour it.
But now… Now the enemy wasn’t waiting-they no longer cared about devouring the World’s Will.
They only had one goal-destruction.
And when an army of more than ten Eternals-with the Supreme Borns leading them-attacked, no High-Level World would be able to survive for more than a minute without reinforcements.
Even the Universe itself wouldn’t react to a particular world’s destruction since the enemy was no longer ‘taking it away’.
So now, Seraphielle was on her own.
But it didn’t matter- “Move.” The Infinity of Light ordered as a faint pulse of gold spread from her body.
… Irethol, a High-Level World, floated like a glowing reef in the dark void.
Its surface shimmered in waves of azure and silver, dotted with mountain-sized corals that pulsed with light.
The beings who lived here were called the Thal’ren.
Thal’ren had tall, slender bodies that shined with faint translucent light; their skin was like living glass filled with veins of light.
Every Thal’ren had a crest of crystal fins running down their back, and their eyes shifted color with their emotions.
From time immemorial, Irethol was part of the Light Faction-it was one of the key worlds that held a significant amount of influence in the Faction and throughout the Universe.
Even right now, its people were quite busy, constantly coordinating with the Light Borns and keeping an eye out for the enemy.
And now that Seraphielle was awake, things had gotten even more hectic.
After the fall of Gracevale, the Lower-Level Worlds that belonged to the Light Faction constantly contacted Irethol, seeking shelter and reassurance.
The Thal’rens were overwhelmed with work-constantly answering hundreds of thousands of lower-level worlds was by no means an easy task, especially when they did not have an already established system to deal with such matters like Gracevale had.
The entirety of Irethol’s work system was close to collapsing since the world couldn’t be divided, but the only thing holding it all together was… the Progenitors’ greed.
The five Irethol Progenitors had a clear plan.
Before it all began, while Irethol was an important member of the Light Faction, its value was still less when compared to Gracevale.
Now, however, things were different.
Gracevale had fallen.
Even though it still existed, with its progenitors gone, the world was abandoned-it was only a matter of time before it was attacked and fell completely.
And it wasn’t just Gracevale; a few other ‘competitors’ had disappeared as well.
Thus-all the responsibility had fallen onto their shoulders, and if they managed to hold on… This… This responsibility might permanently become their own, instantly elevating their status in the Faction, giving them power and glory.
They… They might become the new Gracevale-or better, they might reach a level even Gracevale could not reach.
This was the Irethol Progenitors’ plan, even if it meant overworking their people beyond reason for a while- Yes, they were working hard and… The Heavens decided to reward their efforts.
