Chapter 781: Uninvited Guests
After Nox thoroughly went through the advantages and disadvantages with the others, he proceeded to the site where the statue would be mounted.

The statue was much smaller than the one he had retrieved in the depth of the ocean, which meant it could fit inside his storage space and be moved around easily.

Even though he was now an Expert-Rank awakened at Level 100, he still wasn’t powerful enough to place gigantic items in his storage.

The agreed site for the statue was at the left wing of the castle. That way, it would be much easier for the kingdom to protect it in case of an attack.

A temple had been built by the earth mages, with a massive courtyard capable of containing tens of thousands of people. Ria, the priestess, had specifically overseen the project, and although she wasn’t a Beast Tamer, Nox had already planned to place her as the presiding priestess in the Vermilion Kingdom temple.

Back in Cromwell Kingdom, the role belonged to the former young pirate, Dorran. It was safe to say he was beyond pissed with the role, but he was a criminal, and this was the only reason he could redeem himself.

Furthermore, after spending time training the new generation of Beast Tamers, the pirate was slowly getting more excited about his new job. He had never truly had a childhood to begin with, so bonding with the kids seemed to bring back some old memories.

Back in the Vermilion Kingdom…

A few days later, the temple was fully built. Because of their ability to manipulate earth magic, it was very efficient work for the earth mages.

This raised a question—if it was that easy, why wasn’t the capital rebuilt in a single day?

The answer was simple.

The capital was vast and filled with thousands of buildings. It was impossible to rebuild all of that even in a month, as it required mana, labor, and stamina.

Cromwell had been swifter because of the ants’ presence.

Nox carefully retrieved the statue from his inventory. It was pristine and spotless, having been cleaned the night before.

He placed the statue on the elevated platform inside the vast, high-ceilinged hall.

“It looks beautiful,” Ria said faintly, admiration in her voice. As a priestess, she had seen her fair share of statues of the female goddess, and she couldn’t help but think this one was extremely beautiful.

The cat-like ears only added to her undeniable allure. Whoever crafted this statue had been a master sculptor. Not many people could achieve this level of detail.

Nox quietly chuckled in his heart. If she was already this enthralled just by seeing the statue, he wondered how she would react if she saw Terra in her true form.

“What is her name again?” Ria asked, turning to him.

Without looking at her, he answered, “Her name is Terra, the Goddess of Beast Taming.”

“Terra… Terra.” Ria mumbled the name a few times as if trying to imprint it in the deepest part of her memory. “Such a beautiful and powerful name.”

“So now that we’re done… what next?” This time it was Adrian who spoke, approaching from the entrance.

“We start right away,” Nox said. “Bring all the kids. I’ll personally oversee the first awakening batch.”

“Right away then!” Adrian grinned. He had already raised awareness about the new class. In fact, even before that, news about it had already spread among the citizens.

Because of the close proximity to Cromwell Kingdom, it was not hard for those in Vermilion to catch wind of it.

Before afternoon, about three thousand teenagers who had reached the age of awakening gathered in front of the Temple of Beast Taming.

“People turned out more than I expected,” Adrian said, slightly taken aback when he saw the crowd. He wasn’t a dictatorial king who ruled with an iron fist. Everyone had their rights—they could accept or refuse.

However, it appeared that the younger generation was really curious about this new class.

Adrian was a water mage, but if he had the chance to rewind time, he would have definitely gone for the Beast Tamer class.

I mean, you were no different from a one-man army!

In about 5–10 years, this would be the case for the Vermilion Kingdom.

If all of them awakened, it would be a massive boost to the army.

“Alright, let’s do this,” Nox exclaimed with a loud clap as he stepped forward.

He gave a short speech, mostly explaining the advantages of Beast Tamers and the benefits. He also went through the disadvantages.

However, the disadvantages flew over the heads of most who were present—they were blinded by the advantages.

Well, you couldn’t really blame them… Nox had deliberately used the same lines Terra once used on him in the Pantheon of Mythical Beasts before his transmigration.

“Have you ever dreamed of being in control of powerful mythical creatures to accompany you in battle? Monsters with power so strong that they’d make the gods tremble? An army so formidable that mortals would shiver at the mere mention of your name?”

As he spoke, the eyes of the kids widened even more. Their hearts were practically throbbing, threatening to jump out of their chests.

“Did you hear that?! Mythical creatures!”

“I’m definitely getting a dragon!”

“Hah? Dragon ke? You? With your chicken legs?”

“Shut up! My beast will be bigger than yours!”

Some kids were literally bouncing on their toes, their eyes sparkling.

Even the adults present were tempted to switch classes. They cursed in their hearts, wondering why the Beast Taming class had come out this late.

But little did they know that in the near future, Nox would find a solution for this.

After Nox’s speech, the awakening began.

His theory proved right. Because of the Beast Tamers back in Cromwell, the statue had become more active as well. It was much easier for them to awaken— all they needed was sincerity.

Because of their current situation, Terra wasn’t someone who selected strictly. The other gods were selective because they already had millions of followers.

While the awakening was proceeding smoothly, a series of heavy footsteps came from behind. Nox Frowned slightly when he sensed the hostility in the air.

“What now.”
