Chapter 1351: Desire
“Ha… Ha…” Bella panted a few times. It was really hard to control her illusion, not only to trick Ellenwood but also to perfect her timing. If her timing was wrong even just for one second, Ellenwood wouldn’t have died from that attack.

Nevertheless, they had done it. They had killed Ellenwood.

‘To think it would be this hard to kill a crystal fusion stage summoner…’ Melissa bit her lips. ‘If not for the fact that he was injured, we would probably be the ones losing…’

Melissa felt helpless. The biggest reason they could win was definitely Vivian. If she didn’t fuse with her familiar, they would be in trouble. There was no telling whether they could escape or not.

Melissa bit her lip. In the past, both of them were excellent in combat and studies. However, it looked like the gap had gone wider than she originally thought.

While she was still stuck with the death of her lover, Vivian had worked hard to make sure the tragedy never happened again. Their way of handling the Bloody Banquet was different, which gave a different result.

‘If I haven’t slacked all this time…’ Melissa couldn’t finish her thought, but the answer was obvious. If she continued at her pace, she should be at the same level as Vivian.

Melissa closed her eyes for a moment. She had been saddened for too long. After seeing Vivian’s current strength, Melissa started thinking that it might be the right time to put the sadness behind.

She would still retain the hatred so as to maintain the drive for revenge. In the past few months, she had been progressing as well, but it was slower than Vivian.

Melissa felt like Jay had always remained by her side, placing his hands on her shoulders as if telling her to move forward. He, too, was saddened by her condition.

She clenched her fists. The feet that felt like being tied down to the ground gradually stepped forward. She didn’t know how hard it was to finally be freed from the restriction, but she had finally started moving again. ‘Jay…’

Melissa’s face became resolute.

On the other hand, Bella was thinking a similar thing. She might not recover fully from the Bloody Banquet, but that didn’t mean she was stuck like Melissa.

She had always known that her talent might be better than average people, but she was nowhere near the level of Evelyn, Vivian, or Melissa.

At one point, she thought to herself to end her journey, knowing that she had gone far enough.

But after coming to this continent, she started progressing again. It was hard to catch up with the rest, but after this battle, she realized the problem might not be with her talent. She simply didn’t make enough effort.

‘Have I been… wasting my life this whole time?’ Bella muttered inwardly. Nathan and Evelyn appeared in her mind. ‘Nathan’s path is much more dangerous than mine. Evelyn has chosen to follow him on that path, but what about me?

‘I know that I’m not talented enough to stand next to them, but… I don’t want to be a disgrace anymore. At least, I want to stand behind them, giving them the little push they need…’

Walking alone wouldn’t be enough. She had to run even if she was short of breath.

Bella and Melissa instinctively looked at each other. For some reason, they came to a tacit understanding. A smile formed on their faces, one that was filled with certainty.

They might have found their answer, but that didn’t mean their personalities changed.

Both of them suddenly walked up to Vivian.

Melissa covered her mouth while laughing. “What did you say again, Vivian? Did I hear it correctly? Did I hear it correctly?”

“You heard it correctly.” Bella smirked. “Your man? Is this perhaps from the fact that Nathan claimed you were his woman in front of that old man? Or maybe you just wanted to make this guy think that was the case? Or…”

Melissa was the one who continued with that last possibility. “…You might be jealous consciously or subconsciously after hearing your disciple getting another woman.”

“Hmmm. Melissa. You are more experienced in the relationship between a student and a teacher. What do you have to say?” Bella became even more excited.

”Let’s see. If you want my advice, then you can sever your master-disciple relationship to pursue a much closer one. Maybe you would like a much spicier one, such as this taboo relationship. It might be good at first, but you have to answer that question to your children or grandchildren in the future.

“It’s clear that there is a wall between you and Nathan. You might have to break it personally instead of waiting.”

“Oh. Maybe this woman helper seduced Nathan? This is not good.” Bella raised one finger. “If you need my help, I can always help you. For example, wear a sexier outfit. My illusion can help you try on an outfit you have never worn before to see whether it’s good or not.”

“That’s right. Sexier outfit. No wonder you are never in a relationship, you nerd. Wear some sexy underwear for on—Mmff!”

Vivian abruptly turned around and covered their mouths with her hand. She was smiling, but it didn’t look like she was expressing her happiness.

With a chilling tone, she said, “You two… Have you said enough?”

Bella and Melissa nodded their heads furiously.

“Hmph.” Vivian harrumphed while letting her go.

“…or not!” Bella smirked and started running away while laughing. “You nerd.”

Bella seemed to be doing the same thing. “Hahaha. We have to get away from here. Some other people might come here to pick on us. Better escape before it’s too late. Also, Vivian, my little nerdy junior. You may want to listen to our advice. Hahahaha.”

Vivian’s eyebrows twitched. “I’m going to kill them first. Also, since when did they join hands to bully me? Aren’t you supposed to be impartial, Senior?”

Despite her words, Vivian’s body was more honest. Her heart beat faster as if it was trying to show embarrassment and excitement at the same time. Her mind kept recalling a certain person’s face.

But she hid all that by chasing after them.
