Chapter 1341: Afraid?
“Do you want to learn it?”

Surprisingly, Luna shook her head without hesitation. “Not really. From what I have heard about this power, it doesn’t look like I need it.”

“Have you heard about this power?” Nathan asked.

“This power should be a kind of power sharing between you and your familiar, right? I had encountered the Death Society several times. Do you think this is the first time they slipped outside?

“While it would be troublesome for a few members to go out, if they just sent out one member outside, no one would really figure it out.”

Nathan couldn’t deny the possibility. “So, you already know?”

“To a certain extent.”

“But before you reject, how about I explain it to you first?” Nathan told her everything about the summoning method from Gratzel.

Luna thought for a moment before shaking her head. “The only thing that is useful to me is probably the summoning circle.

“Regarding the Soul Contract, it will be better if I am not restricted to a single familiar for the crystal fusion.

“Each of my golems has its distinct characteristics. And the quality of my power and my body is supposed to be higher than Goddess Rakusha’s. And it’s not like I’m using an elemental power or something. It’s purely magic circles.

“So, there’s nothing I really need, to be honest. Only the summoning circle that can summon higher-level beings might be useful to me. However, I already have 7 familiars that I need. Unless there’s a good reason, I don’t plan to summon another familiar.”

“You have surpassed your familiar?” Nathan was taken aback by this statement. Did she really claim that she had surpassed a goddess?

“She was the one who said so. She told me that the quality of my power was already higher than hers when we were at the same level. Besides, my way of utilizing the golems was simply too different. That was probably the reason.”

Nathan crossed his arms. “I see. If you don’t want to learn this, that is fine as well.”

“Is that all you want to know?” Luna asked.

“For now, yes.” Nathan nodded. Luna didn’t have a lot of information to begin with, so it wasn’t like he could ask anything else.

Luna looked down as if she were disappointed.

“What’s with that reaction?” Nathan tilted his head in confusion.

“Nothing.” Luna shook her head. “I just thought you would be asking me about my birthday, my height, my favorite color, or something along those lines.”

“Give me time to process all this first, will you?” Nathan smiled wryly.

Luna just nodded her head without saying anything.

“In that case, let’s move on to the request. It’s not really a big request. Since you are going to join us in defeating the Death Society, you should introduce yourself to the others.”

“That should be fine.” Luna nodded. “Are your wives among them? I need to greet my soon-to-be sisters.”

Nathan coughed. He scratched the back of his head before sighing. “Not really. My girlfriend, my soon-to-be girlfriend, and my teacher are among them.”

“Girlfriend? A friend who happened to be a girl?”

“My woman.”

“Oh!” Luna nodded in understanding. “I understand. I’ll introduce myself to them. When are we going to meet them?”

“After this trip.” Nathan contemplated. On the one hand, this trip was for him to grow his ena. Bringing Luna would reduce the number of cores he could receive. On the other hand, Luna could stop Regina and make the journey safer.

It looked like bringing her was the correct choice in this situation.

“Anyway, it’s time to sleep.” Luna stood up.

Suddenly, a few dolls emerged from the floor. The dolls were like a maid, but their bodies were similar to Luna’s doll familiar.

The dolls opened the coffin and took out her pajamas. Some of them took out a curtain and stood between her and Nathan so that Nathan couldn’t see her changing.

Then the dolls began undressing her and helping her put on her pajamas. They even brushed her hair. In just thirty seconds, the curtain was already done, showing Luna, who was ready to go to bed.

Nathan was speechless. He finally understood what the familiar said about her being able to do anything but at the same time not being able to.

She knew how to do it, but instead of doing it herself, she just used her power to control the golem to do it for her.

It was amazing and weird at the same time.

“Now, let’s go to sleep!” Luna just circled her arms around his neck as her body softly pushed him to the bed.

“…” Nathan smiled wryly. They had just met. If he took advantage of her, the one-night stand would probably ruin their relationship.

It was fortunate that Xolotl suddenly returned to the room.

“Summoner. I need to talk. Bring the others as well.” Xolotl ignored their positions, but Nathan finally had a reason to push her away for the time being.

Nathan followed Xolotl to the roof. He first looked around before summoning Mae. As long as they didn’t make a scene, Mae’s illusion should be able to fool them. Fortunately, the barracks didn’t have a pointy roof.

The flat roof allowed them to have more cover from the eyes around. Besides, it would be a good platform for discussion.

Still, Nidhogg, Kun, and Orochi were too big.

So, Nathan only summoned the other four who disappeared earlier, along with Qilin.

“What do you want to talk about?” Nathan asked.

Xolotl’s expression turned solemn. “After the discussion with the lady, I couldn’t help but notice something was wrong with you. I could say it was your personality, but it might be more fundamental than that.”

“Hmm?” Nathan tilted his head. The others couldn’t help but furrow their eyebrows. They didn’t understand what Xolotl was talking about, but it sounded like a serious topic.

Xolotl paused for a moment, examining him again to make sure. After a while, he raised one finger. “Summoner. Please answer this question. Why are you so afraid?”
