Strongest Necromancer System - Chapter 517
Chapter 517: Shadow Soldiers
Jason looked down at Yelena’s useless body, and he scoffed before placing the tip of his sword on her forehead! A searing pain suddenly travelled through Yelena’s body, and she hissed in agony before she spoke quickly!
“Kill me, and you’ll bring the wrath of every single Machina down on you! My death will mark the beginning of the end for you! You are nothing but a criminal, and we are simply doing what is right!”
Yelena could feel her heart rate picking up when she felt the sword on her head! Even though she couldn’t see or hear, Yelena could tell that Jason was about to kill her, and she refused to go without giving him a few last words! Jason hummed at Yelena’s words, and he discarded her opinion immediately. Even if they had only been doing their jobs, the Machina still tried to kill him. And as far as Jason was concerned, that was enough reason for him to kill them. Yelena grit her teeth as the [Death’s Mirage] began to sink into her head, and she closed her eyes and accepted her fate as Jason suddenly plunged the sword down in one smooth move to kill her! Blood flowed out into the blackened waters, and Jason pulled the sword back and looked away from the dead body when he sensed Gina coming over to him. Gina looked unharmed from the fight, and Jason smiled when she floated down from the sky and spoke while coming closer.
“Your condition was perfect, babe. The entire army went down, so the Legion should be done killing them soon.”
Jason nodded when Gina said this, and he began to think of the next course of action. Jason knew that this wasn’t the end of this. The Machina weren’t going to just give up because he killed one of the commanders in the army. In fact, at this rate, Jason was sure that they would send some even more powerful people to try and capture them next! Jason ran a hand through his hair and released a calm sigh as he glanced to the side and looked over all the tabs that had been opening during his fight.

Raygun
Rank: SSS
Durability: 100%
Boosts: +300% ~ 50% Attack Power
Description: A complex weapon created by the Machina race as a means of boosting the attack power of their soldiers. This weapon can only be used by those with the Cybertronic Gene. It works by absorbing mana from the user’s body and multiplying the power output of that mana in order to increase the damage done by the attack. Lower-ranked mana [D to B-Rank] can be improved by nearly 300%; meanwhile, higher-ranked mana [SSS-Rank and above] can only be improved by 50%.

Jason felt a smile on his face once he read through the system’s messages. This was exactly why Jason wasn’t bothered by the sudden attacks from all the Machina soldiers. Even though they were being hunted, being in so many battles was an opportunity for Jason’s Legion to grow as quickly as possible! Jason had been going through a long period of stagnation in his system growth because he hadn’t faced anything strong in a long time. The highest colour Gate that Jason’s guild had gone into recently was orange, and even though the monsters there were strong, they weren’t strong enough to give Jason any boost in his system! But most Machina soldiers were somewhere between S and SSS-Rank, so having them come after him like this would give him a constant supply of strong subordinates as well as a chance to grow stronger even faster!
Jason watched as the souls of the Machina began to pull themselves out to join his Legion. Yelena climbed out from her dead body, and she came over to Jason and fell to a knee before him. Jason saw that Yelena was in the same state that she had been in when she first attacked him on Rig’lah. She had on her military uniform, and her hands and legs were mechanically augmented. Her eyes were a brilliant artificial blue, and her ears were made from circular mechanical parts as well.
‘So this large body was just a suit she wore. I’ll take this back with me and give it to Darren. He’s a Technopath, so he should be able to do something with them.’
Jason and Darren had been keeping in touch all this time. Darren had passed the assessment that certified him as a superhuman, but his parents still wanted him to finish school, so Darren was just wrapping up his final year in high school. Darren made Jason promise that he would leave the position of Chief of Technology open in the Monarch guild until Darren was ready to come and take it, and it was obvious that Darren wouldn’t want to join any other guild but Monarch! But that worked in Jason’s favour since Jason knew that Darren was someone he could trust.
Jason had also been talking to Henry for a while now. Henry was the pretty boy who went into the assessment with Jason and Darren, but Jason discovered she was a girl halfway through. Henry’s parents told her that she would need to finish school before joining a guild, but after everything that happened in that assessment, Henry was seriously considering going into magic research rather than gate diving! There were just far too many dangerous people out there, and Henry didn’t know if she had the courage to risk her life against those monsters. Jason had promised Henry that she could come and join the research department of his guild anytime she was ready, and from what Jason heard, Henry was seriously considering it.
Jason blinked and looked down when he felt something moving across the murky water, and he watched as multiple dark figures began to surge towards the hill in the distance. The figures gathered at the bottom of the hill before slowly rising from the water to stand at attention.
“Are those shadow soldiers?”
Gina spoke up in surprise when she saw the gathered army. Jason remembered that this world had the ability to capture and enslave the shadows of everyone who dies inside it, so all the Machina that had been killed in here had their shadows ripped from them. Jason could feel a powerful connection forming between him and the shadows, and Jason knew without a doubt that they were his to command. The army of shadow soldiers simply waited for Jason’s orders, and Jason smiled before he told them all to return to the shadows until he needed them again. Jason was a little annoyed that he could only use those shadows inside this world, but he knew that it was still a useful ability. At least, whenever Jason was in here, he wouldn’t need to spend a lot of mana on his Legion, and he could instead use the shadow soldiers.
Jason finally turned off the [Land of Lost Shadows], and they reappeared in the middle of the large town that they had vanished from.
