Chapter 515: You’re A Fucking Tin Can

Yelena was forced to stop when she felt the sudden power that poured off Jason! The power wasn’t mana, because Yelena couldn’t feel any mana at all, but she could tell that Jason had done something, and by the time she realised what had happened, it was already too late!

Black shadows surged out from Jason’s body like a wave of darkness, and the shadows consumed everything around Jason and the Machina before it closed around them like the jaws of a vindictive beast!

The world that Yelena appeared in was unlike anything she could have ever predicted. It was dark and sombre with an intense oppressive nature that made her wary! Yelena was standing in a pool of darkness that came up to her ankles, but she couldn’t tell if it was water or something else! Yelena looked up, and she felt a sense of dread rising in her heart when she saw the pale white sun shining above her! There were multiple tendrils shooting out from the sun’s surface and writhing around like snakes, and Yelena didn’t know why she felt like that sun was watching her! Yelena had to look away from the sun quickly, and she looked down to see Jason standing on top of a large hill in the distance and looking down at them like a king staring down at peasants! Every single Machina soldier had been dragged in here, and Yelena could see that they were all just as confused as she was! One moment, they were about to attack Jason and Gina, and in the next, they were somehow transported to this place!

Yelena’s analytical mind immediately began to run through all the possibilities, and it didn’t take long before she realised that this was most likely one of the Arcane Arts that she had heard about in passing! From what Yelena had learned, the Arcane Arts were a collection of powers that didn’t require any mana to be activated and could be used indefinitely! Yelena had no idea which of the Arcane Arts this was, but she couldn’t feel any mana inside this world, even with all the power floating around, so she was sure that this had to be an Arcane Art!

‘He even has something like this in his arsenal. Is this really someone from a Rank II world? With this much power, he would be one of the strongest fighters even in a Rank III world! No wonder he was tagged as an Enigma. He is far too dangerous to be left alone!’

The ground beneath Yelena’s feet began to rumble, and Yelena frowned as she saw multiple creatures rising from the pool of strange water a few hundred metres in front of her! These were the subordinates from Jason’s Legion, and Yelena looked up as she saw Gina and other air-based subordinates hovering over them! Yelena discarded all of the hesitation and confusion in her as she spoke to her men.

“Our mission is still the same! Capture Jason Marc and Gina Fey, and if they resist, then you are permitted to use lethal force! Failure is not an option!”

The rocket blaster behind Yelena suddenly erupted in flames as she shot off the ground, and all the other Machina followed Yelena’s lead as they blasted towards Jason and Gina! Jason put his hand forward and commanded his Legion to attack, and the thousands of subordinates charged after the horde of Machina soldiers! The two armies clashed in the centre of the world like tidal waves, and the shadows lit up with blue as the Machina soldiers began to unleash massive ray blasts on the horde of subordinates! Jason knew that only the Rook-Rank subordinates would even stand a chance against the Machina since even the weakest soldier in the Machina army was at least an S-Rank, but Jason wasn’t worried about that at all. Jason was going to kill all the soldiers here today, but first, he needed to wear them down! Yelena roared as she unleashed multiple ray blasts that took out hundreds of subordinates at the same time! The blasts from her raygun were far too strong for any subordinate to withstand, so she easily carved her way through them, and she activated her rocket blaster and took off into the sky to reach Jason! Jason watched as Yelena rocketed towards him, and his mouth split into a grin as he crouched and blasted off the hill!

BOOM!

SLAM!

Jason suddenly body-slammed Yelena, and the force of the impact threw Yelena off her path as Jason carried her along in a new direction! Yelena growled at Jason, and a compartment in her chest suddenly opened and began to glow with an intense blue light as she got ready to eradicate Jason with an antooher attack, but Yelena was shocked when Jason suddenly swung her around and pointed her chest up towards the white sun just at the moment when she unleashed her attack!

BOOOM!

The ray of pure energy flew towards the sun, and rather than causing the sun to implode, it simply flew into the sun and vanished from this world! The white sun grew even brighter as it absorbed all of the power, and Jason yanked Yelena back and threw her to the ground like a missile!

SLAM!

Yelena bounced off the murky dark water like a pinball, and she rolled with the impact and quickly moved to get to her feet! She pointed her hand at Jason and transformed it into a raygun before she sent a blast at him, but Jason easily dodged to the side! Jason dashed towards Yelena and got into her personal space before he brought his hand up and grabbed the raygun! Yelena tried pulling her hand back immediately, but she couldn’t even move before Jason suddenly brought his other hand down in a wide arc, and a purple blade of pure mana sliced through Yelena’s arm like butter! Yelena’s eyes widened in shock from the attack! What the hell was that!? Yelena looked at the sword Jason had used, and she felt even more shocked when she realised that it was a sword artefact created from pure necrotic mana! Where in the world did Jason get a weapon like this!?

‘That lich! The reports from Hesabeth said that Jason had been present on Ruen when Hesabeth went to take care of the Magical Lich that had been causing a problem to the natural order there! But Hesabeth had written that there were no artefacts present after the death of the Lich! Did she lie about that!?’

Yelena found her mind racing as she tried to gain space between her and Jason, but Jason didn’t give Yelena any time to recover as he spun around and used her severed arm to smack Yelena across the face and send her flying back! Yelena slammed into the ground, and she quickly began to get to her feet once again as Jason’s voice floated towards her.

“Did you really think this would be enough to stop me? Your pathetic army and a few fucking trinkets? You’re nothing but a fucking tin can, Yelena. A tin can with far too much firepower pretending to be a warrior.”

Yelena felt anger filling her heart when she heard Jason’s insults, and Yelena raised her good arm and pointed it at him with narrowed eyes! But Jason didn’t even look like he cared about her threat! Jason had a calm grin on his face as he slowly stalked towards her with her severed left arm still in his hand. The arm was sparking with electricity, and Yelena frowned when she saw the confidence on Jason’s face! Jason stared down Yelena’s raygun without a care in the world, and at that moment, Yelena realised that Jason was not afraid! In fact, Jason was enjoying this!
