Chapter 401: Praise to the New Order!
‘What the fuck did you do, Cersai?’

Jason felt an intense anger rising from deep inside him, and he had to struggle to contain it so he wouldn’t go out at that moment to kill that bastard! Was this why Cersai had agreed to allow the superhumans to go so easily before!? Cersai had done something to the world when Jason wasn’t around, and he somehow made it so that everyone thought the otherworlders and interworld travelers were nothing but a myth! So now, even if the superhumans in Jason’s guild were to talk about the interworld travelers to anyone, there would be no one who would believe them! Was this really how badly Cersai didn’t want anyone to know about the existence of other worlds!? Cersai was so fucking paranoid that he would use a mass magical attack to warp the minds of all these fucking people!?

Jason immediately sent a message to the Phantom that was watching Cersai, and he saw that Cersai was sleeping since it was nighttime on the side of the world where Cersai was! Jason told the Phantom to stand by for his order soon. Jason was going to get to the bottom of this nonsense, and if he found out that Cersai was responsible for it, there was going to be hell to pay.

“Jason Marc! I have a question for you!”

Everyone turned when a loud voice sitting at the back of the reporters suddenly shouted, and the man who stood up faced Jason with a hard glare on his face. The man pointed his finger at Jason accusingly and spoke in a loud tone!

“Do you really think that your power right now will be enough to stop the Primordials from killing us all!? Do you think you can save us from those monsters when they come!?”

“Primordials?”

“What the hell? I’ve been hearing a lot of things that I don’t know about. Where did this dude come from?”

“Hey, what the fuck are Primordials?”

“I think it’s a type of Magical Beast?”

The journalists around the man were all confused, and they began to murmur amongst themselves as they wondered what he was talking about, but both Jason and Liam felt their eyes widen when they heard what the man said! Jason knew that there was only one way that this man would know about the Primordials—he was somehow related to one of the Rulers!

“Who the fuck are you?”

Jason narrowed his eyes at the man, and the man laughed loudly as he spread his hands out like he was about to fly off!

“My name does not matter! My life does not matter! All that matters is that you will gladly let this world burn for your own selfish actions! You have failed us, false king, and it is time for humanity to take its destiny back into its own hands! The age of superhumans will soon come to an end, and we will set in a New Order! We will save this world from damnation!! Praise to the New Order!”

The man’s body suddenly began to glow with a bright red light that filled the entire street and made everyone raise their hands up to their faces in shock! Jason’s eyes widened when he felt a massive surge of mana filling the entire region, and Jason immediately knew that the man was trying to activate a magical attack! Jason quickly called out to the Legion.

“Get him out of here!”

The Skyking raced out of Jason’s Alternate Dimension immediately and charged toward the man! It grabbed him by the head roughly and lifted him into the air like a ragdoll! Ragnar also appeared from the Alternate Dimension, and it spread its wings out over the crowd of journalists at the same time that the man’s body finally became overloaded with mana and exploded!

KA-BOOM!!

It was an explosion that could be felt for miles in every direction, and all the reporters screamed in fear when they felt the ground shaking under their feet! But Ragnar’s wings over their heads prevented any of the flames from reaching them, and they all knew that without that protection, they would have definitely died from that attack! Jason hadn’t bothered with a defense since he knew that the attack wasn’t strong enough to even scratch him, but he was looking up at the dead man with a massive frown on his face and wondered what the hell the man could be trying to achieve by killing himself like this!?

Jason narrowed his eyes when he saw the first mission from the system, but he became confused when an Orange key appeared in Jason’s left hand as he saw the system’s second message, and a thought immediately went through his head.

‘This really isn’t the time for this.’

Jason frowned when he saw the message about a new Gate opening, and he ignored it for now and turned away from it to look back toward the bits and pieces of burned body parts that were falling around him. The suicide bomber hadn’t even cared about his life one bit, and Jason found himself wondering what this ‘New Order’ that the man spoke about was. Jason knew that the man somehow knew about the Primordials and the existence of other worlds, so that meant that the man had to be related to one of the Rulers somehow. But the man’s entire speech threw Jason for a massive loop! The man had said something about getting rid of superhumans and also giving this world back to the humans. Was there a group out there that was actively trying to kill superhumans?

Jason felt a surge of irritation rise from his heart when he realized that he was most likely right, and he turned to Liam as the reporters and journalists on the ground began to slowly get back up while murmuring between themselves.

“Liam, we need to talk. Tell the police and superhumans to get rid of the reporters. Juliet, are you alright? Come on, get up.”

Jason gave Juliet his hand, and he helped her to stand up when he saw that she had fallen on her behind after the explosion. Ragnar’s wings had protected her as well, but she had been far too shocked to remain standing! Juliet took Jason’s hand and allowed him to pull her up, but her legs buckled under her, and she had to hold Jason’s chest to remain standing since she was still in shock! Jason looked down at her and asked if she was okay, and Juliet nodded shakily while answering,

“Y-Yeah, I just didn’t think something like this would happen. Did… did that man just kill himself?”

Jason nodded once and said that she had to get back inside. He didn’t know if there were any other people from this New Order around, so it was safer if all the non-combatants were taken out of there immediately. Jason told Ragnar and the Skyking to get back into his Alternate Dimension, and he quickly sent a few Phantoms and other superhumans through the shadows to tag along with each of the reporters. Jason wanted to know what each of them would do after this conference in case there was anyone working with the suicide bomber. If none of them did anything suspicious until they got to their houses, then the subordinates would return immediately.
