Chapter 642: I have been neglecting you, haven’t I?
The moment Damon regained his footing back in the real world, the first thing he felt was a staggering, bone-deep weakness.

It hit him instantly, so abruptly that his knees nearly buckled. His breath hitched, chest tightening, as though someone had taken the vibrant, roaring power inside him from the game world… and replaced it with a flickering candle struggling to stay lit.

This time, the contrast felt harsher, sharper, far more brutal than before.

In Earth Online, his body had been a walking calamity, fused with mana, bloodline energy, poison energy, shadow essence, abyssal essence, divine essence, and many other energies, and a physique enhanced far beyond mortal limits.

But out here, his body felt like a mere shell. This was true every time he logged out, but this time the difference was so jarring that Damon needed a minute to settle down. However, as he stabilized himself, only a big grin appeared on his face.

This was because he knew exactly what was different this time around and why exactly he felt this enhanced weakness. It was definitely not because he hadn’t logged out for a while.

Damon quickly sat cross-legged on his bed. He closed his eyes. Breathed in and breathed out. The real world air, actually not so thin and mundane anymore, containing a surprisingly good amount of mana, flowed through his lungs like lukewarm water.

He followed the flow of mana and quietly settled down, observing all of its patterns, its ebb and flow, and how it interacted with his relatively naive body. Slowly, his consciousness drifted to another place, a lot deeper.

Damon was not particularly an expert in the soul arts, but ever since he opened up his soul sea, he had been training meticulously. Every other minute, he tried to reach for his soul sea with his consciousness, even if he did not do anything after that.

This practice now paid in spades as he was quickly able to access his soul space even in the real world.

Damon could feel his blood boiling. He was getting more and more excited. He was out now, and yet he had reached his soul space. This could only mean one thing.

Without wasting another second, he barged into his soul space without any hesitation, and instantly, he was greeted by his two blood avatars. “Motherfucker! That’s what I am talking about!”

“Fuck ya!” He jolted out of his bed and did a little dance. “Who’s da boss! I am the boss! Who’s the boss! I am the boss!”

Almost immediately, a snarky voice came out. “Would you calm down, you insufferable gremlin? Cough. Cough. Master. Your dancing skills are… It’s good that you are dancing within these four walls.” La Rocha was as brutal as always. “For the sake of others, it’s best you continue to do so.”

Damon ignored the guy and finished his little victory celebrations. Today, not even this bastard could ruin his mood. Actually, especially this bastard couldn’t ruin his mood.

Damon’s grin became wider as he looked up at nothing in particular. “La Rocha, how about you come and greet me? It’s been a while since we had a proper heart-to-heart chat. I have been neglecting you, haven’t I? I shouldn’t do that. An ancient piece of junk like you, sorry, artifact like you should be shown proper respect.”

“Why don’t you bring some tea and meet me in the courtyard? Hmmm?” Damon gave a wicked smile as he changed his clothes and casually started walking out. “Once upon a time… Not so long ago… Tommy used to work on the docks… Union’s been on strike… Hes down on his luck… It’s tough, so tough.”

“I am sorry, but singing is also not your strong suit. You should make it a habit to keep your mouth shut.” La Rocha once again did not fail to comment. Of course, at the end, he reluctantly added a pitiful, for the sake of, “Master.”

“You have already violated the heavens with your dancing. Do not violate human culture with your singing.”

Damon chuckled. It looked like the artifact spirit had become quite arrogant in his absence. That was fine. After all, today was going to be glorious. Damon wanted the guy to enjoy his good spirits for a while longer before he crushed everything to bits and pieces.

He He. With a devilish grin, he continued walking and entered a common area where he casually flopped down on a couch. A few seconds later, Aurora beamed as she came bouncing into the room.

The moment she spotted Damon lounging on the couch, she skipped over with a radiant smile that could blind a small nation.

“Hubby! You’re awake!” she chirped, plopping down beside him with zero regard for personal space. She threw her arms and legs all over him and essentially wrapped herself around him, even shifting her ass from the couch to his lap. Only then did she give a satisfied smile.

Damon did not mind. He nuzzled her neck, enjoying the sweet fragrance of her blood and the warmth of her supple skin.

Aurora practically purred against him, shifting her hips deliberately, clearly testing just how far she could push him before he snapped. Damon’s fingers twitched on her waist. The minx knew exactly what she was doing. But before he could retaliate-

Knock knock.

The door creaked open with dignified stiffness.

La Rocha stepped inside, dressed in his immaculate butler suit, silver tray in one hand, disdain in the other. The expression on his face looked personally offended by the concept of Damon having physical contact with a woman like Aurora.

His eyes swept over Damon. Then Aurora. Then Damon again. Slowly and judgmentally. “So to what do I owe this pleasure?” He asked, not hiding the arrogance in his eyes.

“Why do you think?” Damon smiled, and his predatory gaze met the artifact spirit’s conceited gaze. La Rocha suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, and his face changed. “Come on. You are almost there. Can’t you sense it yet?”

The next second, La Rocha’s jaw dropped on the floor.
