Chapter 632: Lord Norosse approaches!
Aurora, meanwhile, was oblivious to the emotional carnage she was causing. She pointed excitedly at Lirae’s crimson eyes, bouncing on her toes. “You look really pretty, Princess Lirae. Welcome to the family.”

“You know… I was only going to make an exception for my sis Kate here. But I have heard about you. I know you rescued all of my hubby’s family and made sure that they were safe. You were there for him when he needed you. I really appreciate that a lot.”

“And you were also the first one to be engaged to him officially. I have to acknowledge that.” Aurora stepped a little closer, examining Lirae from top to bottom. “You look really pretty, Princess Lirae. Your heart is also in the right place. You can become our sister. Right, Kate?”

Kate’s expression did something between a twitch and a sigh, the kind that said I have lost control of this conversation and possibly my life.

Lirae, on the other hand, looked like someone had hit her with a paralysis spell. Her crimson eyes went wide, her breath caught, and every trace of royal composure evaporated into thin air.

“Miss A.. Aurora, wait… I didn’t… I’m not…” she stammered, her face burning up in embarrassment. She did not know what to do when a divine being, like a fallen angel, was addressing her directly, let alone calling her a sister.

Kate could only smile bitterly at her plight. It takes everyone a bit to warm up to Aurora, but once they get to know her, they can’t stop loving the powerful dummy. “Aurora, you are going to scare her. You do know that you are a fallen angel, right? Why is your aura out and about? Can’t you like tuck it in or something?”

Aurora pouted. “It’s all hubby’s fault. I was searching for him.” She then turned to Lirae and added, as a matter of fact. “Oh, don’t be scared of me. I am a little powerful but not as much as hubby.”

Lirae awkwardly nodded. She was aware of that too.

“By the way, do you know where hubby is? What happened when he went to meet you? Was there any problem?”

Lirae nodded and started explaining everything that happened. Norosse was only able to hear a little of it before Aurora directly shot a murderous glare at him and pulled a barrier around the group, not allowing anyone else to overhear them.

The three women then continued chatting casually, not bothering to give the vampire any more attention.

But Norosse did not lose hope. He might be an arrogant noble, but he was not foolish. He knew how to get what he wanted even in the most hopeless scenarios. Obviously, the one unfolding in front of him at the moment was one such scenario.

Three stunning beauties, and yet all of them belong to a useless bastard. Others might be envious of the situation and curse their bad luck, but Norosse only saw an opportunity. There was nothing wrong with superior men cuckholding lesser men and taking their wives.

If you do not have enough power to protect what is yours, then you should not blame others for taking it from you.

Brushing off the earlier encounter and the lack of respect, he cleared his throat and walked over to the three beauties. No matter what happened today, by the end of the night, all these three would become his playthings one way or the other.

“Lord Norosse approaches!” As he walked over, the vampire standing next to him, hurriedly bowed and announced his arrival.

But the barrier did not acknowledge him. Not a flicker. Not a ripple. The three did not acknowledge him at all. Norosse’s face changed a little again but he quickly recovered again. He took out a crystal from his spatial storage and pressed it on the barrier.

The next second, the barrier collapsed.

Immediately, Aurora’s eyes flashed with fury. She looked as if she was ready to maul him and rip him apart right then and there. However, before she could act on it, Norosse quickly opened his mouth and talked.

“I hear that the Blood Hall Lord is in some kind of trouble.” He cleverly selected the topic that would interest all three women and the effect showed. Their expressions changed and they all started paying attention to him.

Seeing that this plan was working, Norosse chuckled. “He is trapped or imprisoned somewhere?”

“And who,” Aurora asked patiently, “told you that?”

“It doesn’t matter who,” Norosse answered smugly. “What matters is that I, as a Blood General, can offer protection. When weaker Lords working for us get in trouble, it becomes our responsibility to save them. After all, as a member of the main family, I am required to do at least this much.”

Aurora tilted her head, voice dropping to a chilling sweetness. “My hubby needs protection… from whom exactly?”

Norosse smiled broader, confident in his delusions. “From whatever danger he’s facing. It doesn’t matter. I am strong enough to protect him from anything.”

Aurora was about to open her mouth when Lirae quickly stopped her. “My Lord. We would be glad to accept whatever help you can offer.” She then pulled the two of them aside for another conversation.

“I have heard about the Umbra’s hand. Those people are terrifying. I am really worried about him. What if… he needed our help? I… it wouldn’t hurt to go there with this Lord’s troops and check on him…”

Kate nodded in agreement. “Damon is always running head first into everything. When this person is offering help all on his own, why not accept it?”
