Chapter 602: Stop it! Don’t do it!
Damon rolled his shoulders once, letting his new strength settle into bone and flesh. He didn’t bother to look in the Third’s direction. Not that he knew where the maniac was hiding. This was his domain, and the assassin controlled it pretty well.
However, Damon was not done just yet. He had, in total, opened up eight meridians in his body, and this was just the beginning. After the arm, leg, shoulder, and thigh, he began to focus on the other major meridians that were hidden in his body.
More specifically, there was a network of three meridians in the back connecting his upper back to his lower back, forming an H-shape. While this was not as easy as the ones in the arms and the legs, it was still relatively easy to open up these meridians.
Damon once again started the process.
In the meantime, the Third was sweating bullets now. “What is wrong with you? Look. Look. Look all around you! You are trapped, you fucking little bitch! You are completely and utterly trapped. You are going to spend all eternity here! So why the hell are you popping open meridians like you are in a goddamn SPA DAY?!”
Damon didn’t answer. He didn’t even tilt his head. His breathing slowed, deepened. Another surge of mana tore through his spine like a living lightning bolt.
BOOM.
The first of the three back meridians burst open without resistance. Then another opened up, followed by yet another. To Damon’s shock and much to the Third’s dismay, it did not stop there. Four more meridians opened up one after the other.
In total, six meridians opened up on his back instead of the three he was familiar with. There was no more H shape. It was a star shape. A perfect star-shape of meridians, each one fusing together with his core, lighting up in sequence like runes being etched onto his spine.
The moment the meridians opened up the entire mana flow abruptly changed. Mana roared through him, explosive, violent, yet perfectly controlled, as though the star-shaped network itself was tempering the flow on his behalf.
Damon’s fingers flexed once, absorbing the change, his expression still maddeningly calm.
The Third, meanwhile, was losing the last remaining pieces of his sanity. “Wait. You didn’t stop with that? Did you open more of your meridians? What monstrous constitution do you have? Opening meridians back to back like this should have made you explode!”
Damon did not stop with that and further added in more stats. Since these were not major meridians he only tried adding 500 per meridian but that was still a whopping 3000 additional stat points.
Damon distributed this one equally among all of his attributes. Once again his power reached a new level, completely shocking the Third. “Fucking stop powering up in my dimension! How are you even doing this?”
Damon rolled his shoulders again. Naturally he couldn’t forever continue opening up one meridian after another. Even though he had confidence in his constitution, it was still a gamble to open up many meridians in such a short time. He needed to give his body more time to settle just like the psycho mentioned.
However, this much should be more than enough for him to give it a real try. Damon grinned. It was time to break out of this damn thing. Though it looked impossible at first, he could feel that it was not the case. He could definitely break apart this confinement.
He once again activated his core and circulated the mana in his body. The mirror dimension had some mana but his regeneration rate was very less. So he was going to have to make this try count. In a single shot, he needed to break this damn thing wide open.
Power surged all around him, blood essence, mana and poison essence all intermingled together. Even as he was gathering and preparing for the attack, the mirrors around him started rattling. The reflections flickered and the next moment, even cracks started appearing on some of the mirrors.
The Third became completely livid. Usually when he trapped someone in this dimension, they would become miserable and helpless and slowly lose their sanity, finally resulting in a complete mental breakdown. He enjoyed this sort of slow torture. But everything this time was going wrong.
This bastard did not give up attacking his dimension yet! Why would he even keep at it when it was already clear that it was completely useless?!
The worst part was that it looked like his attack this time was going to work? How was this even possible? How could someone have so much power? Was he even a fucking C rank?
“STOP! STOP IT! YOU CRAZY LITTLE FUCK!” The voice ricocheted through the mirrored world in fifty deranged echoes.
Damon didn’t even blink. His focus tightened, directing controlled torrents of mana that flowed freely throughout his body. A violent pressure built inside him. It was time to unleash hell.
Sensing the disaster about to happen, the third screamed. “Are you listening? Stop it! Don’t do it! Noooo! Don’t break the dimension! You don’t understand!”
Seeing that his words were not at all being heard, the Third resorted to finally taking action. Like a madman he came at Damon from all different sides. He tossed everything at him. Dagger attacks, wind attacks, shadow attacks.
In this dimension, he had the ability to amplify his attacks. He did not hold back at all and threw it all at the bloody vampire. However, the lunatic was simply a tier above him. Nothing reached him at all. The wretched shadow clone was more than enough to handle all the attacks.
The Third couldn’t even help it. Attacking was not his strong suit. His entire existence, his entire assassin class, his entire identity revolved around trapping, tormenting, breaking people from the inside out. His pocket realm wasn’t meant for battle, it was a cage meant to grind souls into dust. But now?
As Damon’s mana reached a critical peak, the Third finally realized the horrifying truth. He had finally captured someone he never should have touched in the first place!
He hadn’t caught prey. He had trapped himself in a pocket realm with a monster!
