Chapter 511: A fucking crime!
Aurora floated slightly above the ground, her wings spreading wide as if declaring war on the heavens themselves. [Hell’s Choir], her newly acquired skill, activated. A haunting melody rang out, each note laced with curse magic and despair. It was a sort of mental corruption skill, a very high-level one at that.
Paladins and clerics fell to their knees, clutching their heads, their faith unraveling under the weight of her song. Wherever her gaze landed, sacred shields shattered and chaos ensued.
A group of holy knights tried to rally, charging toward her with light-forged spears. But before they could reach her, Damon flickered back into visibility, a wall of blood spears erupting from the ground to skewer half their ranks.
The remaining few barely had time to scream before a wave of corrupted divine energy slammed into them, sending their broken bodies tumbling like ragdolls.
“Did you see that, Blood God?” Aurora giggled, spinning mid-air as a barrage of black feathers rained down. Each feather struck like a high-tier spell, impaling mages and blowing holes through enemy lines. “What do you think of my new skills?”
Damon didn’t reply. He was too busy grinning like a lunatic, slashing, blinking, dodging, feeding his bloodline, and growing more monstrous with every kill. The bodies were endless, and there was so much he could take. He sucked in all the blood essence he could without holding back in the slightest.
It was a grand feast!
Blood Reign was also thoroughly enjoying herself. Her voice echoed in his mind, filled with gleeful laughter, happy to be in the midst of chaos and carnage.
Not to be outdone by these two, Erin was unleashing her own brand of hell on the massive army.
The vampires in this army were barely a fraction of the whole attack force, and yet they were holding their own thanks to Damon and the three women.
On the side, there was another key player. But right at this moment, he was sweating bullets. Necro God stared at the two ridiculously beautiful women surrounding Damon. He couldn’t see the face of the third one clearly, but he had no doubt that she was a beauty as well.
All three were not just beautiful, but they were terrifying and powerful. Especially when his gaze landed on Aurora, his cheeks reddened. Her armor and her attire were extremely provocative, and he couldn’t help but steal many glances at her.
The wings on her back were also… Necro God gulped. Her wings were just like those that appeared in his favorite anime. He was completely spellbound. Though he did take note of the way Aurora acted towards Damon. Why did a woman like that have to like this asshole?
It was a fucking crime!
With a heavy heart, he unleashed his frustration on all the players he could get his hands on. He was Necro God, and he was not going to lag behind the damned Blood God!
He might not be all that powerful now, but as soon as he completed his quest, his power would explode, and then everyone would know who he was and what he was capable of!
Stealing one more glance at Aurora, he resolutely got back to work again, slaughtering left and right.
The five seemed to be locked in an unspoken competition to see who could rack up the highest kill count, and so far, Damon was leading by a landslide, despite not even being in C rank yet. His stats were skyrocketing, and his skills were leveling up at an insane pace.
During the whole time, Damon was also continuously on the lookout for anyone as powerful as the red robed guy or the black robed guy. He had a feeling that experts like that were rare even within the super guilds, and his assumption was spot on.
Even though he had to face many C-rank NPCs and talented players, they did not come close to the skill exhibited by those two guys. Still, Damon didn’t let his guard down.
If those two robed bastards were here, then their faction wouldn’t send them alone. There had to be more, others in hiding, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Damon’s instincts prickled, honed sharp from both in-game experience and a paranoia that never fully left him.
As the battlefield descended further into chaos, Michael finally made his move. Damon observed him exchange glances with a few people. Mostly NPCs, but also some players. Immediately, these few people took something out of their storage space and drank it.
A potion?
Damon did not have to wait long to wonder what exactly the potion did. As soon as the bunch of people drained the potions, their auras immediately shot up. Damon could feel their power shooting up. Even their levels were visibly shooting up.
And it wasn’t just a small bump. Right in front of his eyes, these few players gained a whopping 50 levels, and they were still not done yet!
Their auras continued increasing and increasing until they were all well into the C rank. It did not stop there. They went from stepping into the C rank, then mid-C rank, and only stopped when they finally reached the power level of peak C rank monsters.
“Instant evolution and forced rank up?” Damon frowned. “That cannot be good long-term.”
There was no way the players and NPCs couldn’t feel the effects of such a drastic power-up, but they still seemed to be fine doing that. They probably trashed their entire future for a temporary power-up. Only true loyalty can make people do these things.
True loyalty that had been grossly misused. He would never ask something like this of Ellora or Kaelthorn. This only showed the true nature of the so-called super guilds.
Damon absolutely despised people like this. “So you got a few more C rank powerhouses?” He raised a brow, glancing at the golden masked guy who stood indifferently, unmoving from his position.
Damon’s eyes widened as the next instant, another batch of players and NPCs took out more of these potions and drained them, their powers as well starting to shoot up.
