Chapter 505: Where did they go?
Damon raised a brow. Come on. He couldn’t be so dumb that he did not know how his own legendary item skill worked, right?

Then right in front of everyone another sun blinked out as well.

Reynard right now looked extremely shocked and confused. All the arrogance, pride and confidence was completely gone from his handsome face. All his energy had drained out. Only a pale trembling figure was left behind.

“The… flame… flame fragments? Where did they go?” He started panicking and looking around, trying to count the number of shining suns again. But no matter how many times he counted half of them were simply missing.

“Blood God!” He clenched his fists, his entire body trembling. “What did you do? Where are my flame fragments? Do not make this issue any worse than it already is. Don’t forget. You still live in our world. Return my flame fragments right this instant. Otherwise, even if you hide at the end of the world, we will still find you and your family and feed you all to the wolves!”

The man’s rage boiled off of him as he shouted one threat after another. Yet, all Damon could see was desperation. Clearly, something was wrong and Damon’s answer was a lazy smile. “Flame fragments? Why did something happen to your precious legendary item? Did you drop something somewhere on the battleground? Shall I help you look for it?”

Reynard completely lost it. “BLOOD GOD! Answer me now! I will rape and kill your mother and your wife right in front of your eyes! Do not play with me!”

Damon’s face changed. A predatory look appeared in his eyes as he teleported right in front of Reynard. “Are you threatening my family right in front of me?”

Reynard did not care. The remaining six suns were blasting off attacks left and right as he too started conjuring a massive ball of flame. His orange hair became brighter as if it were really on fire. Damon could feel that the man’s power just went up a notch.

He prepared to completely block the attack and counter attack right there on the spot. A flaming red ball appeared in his hand as well and started becoming bigger and bigger.

Damon did not stop with this and added a sneak attack right behind the massive hellfire blood blast attack. The next instant everything exploded. The two attacks collided with each other and shockwaves spread across the battlefield.

Damon already teleported away from there and appeared somewhere behind Reynard to fully seal the deal and send the bastard packing. But before that something unexpected happened. The two power-packed attacks did not exactly detonate. Nothing really happened at all.

Weirdly, the two attacks simply fizzled out and disappeared. What the hell? Both Reynard and Damon looked shocked. Both of them looked at the site of explosion, wondering what went down and searching for some explanation when a loud burping sound came out.

Huh?

The next moment, Damon’s jaw dropped on the floor and Reynard looked petrified as the both of them watched a small spark buzz out of the spot. It was like a firefly, happily buzzing and flying around without any care in the world.

Reynard was still dumbfounded but Damon could instantly connect everything that happened. This little thing had been busy at work! If he was not wrong, then Goldy probably gobbled up many things just like how it had gobbled up the hellfire essence back in that place.

But to absorb the flame fragments directly from a legendary item? It couldn’t be right?

Damon couldn’t believe something like that on a hunch and quickly pulled out his system interface. Then all the proof he needed flashed brightly one after another right on his face.

This little fire sprite had indeed done the deed! It had absorbed the flame fragments which from the manic look on Reynard’s face was a key component of the legendary item!

Damon could only gape at the awesomeness that was Goldy. Even after absorbing something which belonged to a legendary item, the little sprite still was not full and continued to absorb every single flame fragment on the item. This sprite was truly a greedy little thing!

And he loved it!

“Go! Go! Go! Get the next one! Get them all!” Damon mentally cheered the little guy.

Goldy zipped a delighted figure-eight, then dove straight into the Diadem’s corona like a pebble into a pond. Six suns became five, no explosion, no drama, just a soft gulp and a guilty hiccup from the spark.

Damon could see it all clearly now that he knew what to look for. He was truly impressed by the little rascal.

Reynard, on the other hand, became even more miserable. His legendary item, an item that gave him the edge among many other members of his family, an item that made him stand out in this world and the real world was now dying right in front of his eyes!

He was way too agitated to think clearly or even notice Goldy. He frantically continued erecting barriers after barriers and started taking out huge chunkers of mana stones from his spatial ring and feeding it to the bracelet in hopes that it would bring back the flames.

The man was completely falling apart. At this point, he even forgot about shouting threats at Damon and only focussed on his bracelet, trying to somehow revive it by hook or crook.

Seeing him in this state, a wicked smile appeared on Damon’s face. Goldy had shown off its prowess. Now, wasn’t it his turn to do some showing off as well?
