Chapter 486: One down, three more to go
Damon quickly grabbed the flying disc and tossed it into his spatial ring. It was bound to someone else, but that did not matter. There were always ways to make it clean and free from any other ownership. Unlike beast mounts, mech mounts were a lot easier to tinker with.
However, apart from the flying disc, he hadn’t really gained much from this short scuffle, even after expending so much. Damon clicked his tongue. He was correct in deducing that these three were the big shots of the whole arrangement but yet there was nothing he could do to them.
He wasn’t even able to kill one of them. That was disappointing. At least he made all three run from the scene of the battle. A small victory.
Damon grinned. Of course, he also had an even bigger victory. How could he simply let them go just like that? He closed his eyes and tried to get a feel for it. Three blood marks. Three strong and unique blood marks.
He had tagged all three of them during the fight, and he could already sense them. The girl and the handsome bastard were in a neighbouring city, probably regrouping before once again coming for him.
The third guy was nowhere to be seen. Did he simply log out or something?
Damon shrugged. It was fine if he did not manage to get all three of them. At least for now, he had a track of these two. He did not have too much time to spend on these guys, as the main battle was about to start any second now.
Even though he had a big clash with the main trio, in reality, only a couple of minutes had passed by, and that was more than enough for the big shots to take action. The C-rank powerhouses did not remain idle.
Ignoring the poison massacre, they had already started attacking the blood dome once again. This meant that Damon had very little time. He had to cull the tide before the outer barrier crumbled and the fight started.
He also needed to juice up. He immediately knew which army he was going to target out of the three. Ignoring the three other armies, Damon swiftly arrived at the disorganized player army. More and more strays were tacking onto this annoying army, and this would serve as a good starter.
Once again, he did not have a lot of time. He also did not plan to get creative. He simply decided to deal with these scavenger bitches who wanted to pick on the corpse of his blood hall in the most direct way possible.
Damon appeared in front of the army. His figure was only visible for a brief second before many more blood spheres bloomed on their heads. These were smaller and immediately crashed down wherever they were conjured, spilling blood and poison everywhere.
Players screamed in horror and dread. Many had already started to flee for their lives after the first poison wave, but some remained in the vain hopes that this was a one-off attack.
Damon crushed those hopes mercilessly as he ended the random army in a matter of seconds with repeated poison attacks. Hundreds of players died in an instant. Bodies hit the ground and stayed there. Red fog hugged the earth.
In the blink of an eye, the huge unruly army became a carnage of rotting flesh and blood. The scene was way too shocking for anyone to handle. In a single move, the difference between everyone and the top player who ruled this game became abundantly clear.
It was the difference between heaven and earth! At this moment, it became evident that no matter what they did, they could never come close to this tyrannical person!
Blood God! No, he was the God of Death and Destruction!
With only a few lucky players managing to survive, the entire army was laid waste. The players who were hurrying over to join the fun also stopped in their tracks, completely shell-shocked and terrified.
Many used whatever teleportation means they had on hand, and those who didn’t possess any straight up turned around and started to flee for their lives. Even after resurrecting in the local graveyard, no one dared to come this side again.
The power difference was way too much. How could one person possess so much destructive ability? Everyone foolish enough to assemble could only lament their losses and get the hell out of there.
The world chat and the local chat were exploding with chaos. Clips flooded every feed. Damon’s tyrannical attacks were played on repeat over and over as everyone watched the blood spheres exploding in dread.
“LOG OUT!”
“DON’T GO NEAR NIERA!”
“HE’S STILL THERE!”
Party chats turned into retreat pings. Leaders spammed again and again, “Fall back, regroup, don’t go near Niera!”
Those who were slow to join the fight and those who were indecisive and hesitated to join the fight thanked their lucky stars and celebrated. Many had lost items and levels on the battlefield. All the items were simply scattered now on the ground, but no one had the guts to go there and pick them up.
If someone dared to do such a thing, it would have been a massive haul enough to set them up for life, but the scene of Damon absorbing the blood essence of hundreds of players was enough to freeze the blood of anyone even thinking about such a thing.
This man was an absolute monster! An absolute monster that none of them could ever offend in their entire lifetime!
In front of such a dominating, tyrannical display of power, in front of such an absolute strength that was capable of erasing hundreds of players in seconds, there was nothing anyone could do.
The single display of strength had squashed every doubt anyone ever had on Damon and every single rumor about him using a legendary weapon or some glitched shortcut. The man’s power was absolute, and today everyone witnessed it firsthand!
With this, the player army completely disbanded and disappeared as if they had never gathered together in the first place. Only poisonous air continued to fester in the southern boundaries of Niera, even beasts refusing to wander in the region.
