Chapter 1884: Miracle healer
As we headed through the village, Dorothy kept looking around as if she was trying to figure out what this place really was.

But eventually she noticed something.

No one seemed surprised by or seemed scared of the Fenrir even though she was a large wolf.

It seemed like all of them just felt that something like this was normal.

But there was no way that normal people would have felt that a large wolf like the Fenrir was normal. Especially since it was in its normal form and was releasing a powerful aura that was anything but normal.

So they should have been wary of the Fenrir at the very least.

“These people really aren’t normal.” Dorothy said as she looked at them.

I didn’t say anything, I just had a smile on my face as I watched over her.

After a while, we arrived at the place that I was looking for.

If the village wasn’t the same as it was in the game, then I really wouldn’t have known where to go. But I recognized that the layout of the village was the same as in the game as soon as I stepped foot in the village.

That was how I was able to bring us here.

This place didn’t seem like that special of a place, but there was a strange smell that filled the air. It seemed to be some kind of medicinal smell with the way that it kind of attacked the nose.

But it wasn’t as if it was that pungent.

“Wait here for a bit while I take a look inside.” I said to Dorothy while making sure that she remained on the Fenrir.

She looked like she wanted to follow me into this place, but I didn’t let her do that.

I knew that there was no danger, it was just that this person was a strange one based on what I knew about him from the game. As such, I really didn’t want her approaching him until I talked to him first.

When I came close to the house, I could see the mess that was inside.

This was a house that was made of a tree.

Or it was better to say that this was a tree that was carved out and turned into a house.

Most of the house itself was still the tree, rather than being an actual house.

A person that could live in a place like this certainly wasn’t a normal person.

Especially with the mess that they created.

There were all kinds of glassware that was scattered all over the floor and there was even a bunch of shattered glass that was all over the place. It seemed like it was from glassware being thrown or from something exploding.

This was really a sign that something had happened here before.

After watching for a bit, we could hear a sound coming from inside.

“No, no, this isn’t right either. This kind of reaction goes against what should be expected…”

It really sounded like the mumblings of a madman with the way that it sounded, but I knew that this wasn’t the case. This really didn’t seem like a place that one should enter.

But I went up to the door of the house and knocked on it.

Dorothy tried to reach out to stop me, but I didn’t wait as I gave a strong knock on the door.

Though I knocked hard on the door, it didn’t seem like the person inside heard anything. Or rather it was better to say that the person inside of the house was just straight up ignoring me since it seemed like they were lost in their own little world.

“Bang, bang, bang.”

This time, I didn’t hold back at all as I slammed my fist on the door.

This time, they couldn’t just ignore me when I slammed on their door like this, but they certainly weren’t happy to hear me slamming on the door.

The moment that the person inside came out…

“Get lost! Stop slamming on my door! What if you ruin my experiment!”

The only thing that they seemed to care about was whatever they had been doing before this.

But before they could do anything else, I suddenly came forward to grab their hand and said, “Don’t be like that. We’re here to see the miracle healer.”

“Huh?” The person that I stopped couldn’t help being caught off guard when he heard this.

He looked at me as if he thought that I had a screw loose, but I just looked at him with a smile on my face before saying, “It’s very simple, we have a condition that only you can heal.”

There was an interested look that appeared on the miracle healer’s face when he heard this.

I knew that this would be the case since this was the kind of person than he was in the game as well.

He was a healer, but he wasn’t actually someone that cared about healing people.

The only reason that he was a healer in the first place was because it was a result that came from his research. Because his research created things that healed people, it was just what he did naturally.

But the only thing that could convince this person to actually heal people was if they had an interesting illness that would benefit his research.

So if they didn’t have something that piqued his interest, then he wouldn’t actually bother healing them.

Only I was certain that I would have something that would interest him.

After looking at me like this for a bit, he finally said with a cough, “Come in and tell me about it.”

With a nod, I waved my hand at Dorothy for her to follow me before following him into the house.

Dorothy had a look of doubt on her face, but I didn’t say anything as I led her in.

Once we came in, the real smell hit us right in the face.
