Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure - Chapter 1883
Chapter 1883: The Lost Ones
“Oh, it’s been a while since we’ve had visitors.”
Dorothy and Joan immediately tensed up when they heard this voice, but then they relaxed when they saw that it was a sweet looking old lady that said this.
I looked at her with a smile and said, “That’s right, we’re here to visit someone.”
“Visit someone here?” After thinking about it, the sweet looking old lady said, “Ah, it must be that boy. But you and your daughter both seem quite healthy, is there a reason that you’re here to see him?”
I just looked at her with the same smile without saying anything.
When she saw this, the sweet looking old lady gave a nod and said, “Alright, go on your way then. It seems like you know the rules of this place.”
She didn’t bother saying anything else as she turned around to mind her own business.
Dorothy couldn’t help feeling a bit guilty when she saw the sweet looking old lady go like this, so she turned to me and asked, “Weren’t we a bit rude?”
I looked at her with the same smile before saying, “You should learn not to judge a book by its cover. She might look sweet, but she’s anything but that.”
Dorothy couldn’t help looking confused when she heard this.
I didn’t say anything as I took out a book for her.
Dorothy looked even more confused when she saw me do this, but she still took the book that I handed her to see what it was that I wanted to show her.
When she read it, a look of understanding slowly appeared on her face.
She couldn’t help looking up at the sweet looking old lady that was slowly walking away with a strange look on her face. The main emotion behind this seemed to be disbelief, as if she couldn’t believe what she had just read.
After a while, she finally said, “Her? Really?”
Another smile appeared on my face when I heard her say this.
After all, I understood why Dorothy would say something like this.
The book that I took out was one that had a list of all the dangerous criminals that were wanted all over the continent.
As the king of one of the most important kingdoms in the racial alliance, it was only natural that I would receive this list. And since it was a special list, it meant that anyone that was inside of this book was anything but a normal person.
To be included in this list, one had to be quite the criminal.
This sweet looking old lady certainly didn’t seem like she fit that list, but she was there.
In fact, she was quite the vicious one who had already killed several people in the past.
She definitely wasn’t on this list for no reason.
After realizing this, it seemed like Dorothy was a bit scared of this place.
I patted her on the head and revealed a faint smile when I saw her like this before saying, “Don’t worry, it’s not as if this place is that dangerous. As long as you follow the rules of this place, it’ll be fine.”
Dorothy couldn’t help looking at me with a strange look when she heard this.
The main reason that she looked at me like this was because she couldn’t understand how I knew this much about this place. It seemed like I already knew about this place before bringing us here.
However, she had never heard of this before and she had heard quite a bit from Rose and the others.
That was why she was confused about how I knew all of this.
I didn’t mind as I continued forward.
After walking into the village, there were more people that appeared.
Or rather, we were the ones that appeared in their village since we had walked in from the outside.
There were a few people that seemed interested in us and then there were others that weren’t interested at all. It all depended on what kind of person they were, which decided whether they were interested in us or not.
It wasn’t as if I knew everyone, but I did know a few of these people from my time in the game.
They were considered important NPCs in the game, so it was only natural that I recognized them when I met them in real life.
During this time, I could see that Dorothy was gripping the book that I had given her and was trying to match the faces in the book with the ones in front of her. It was just that other than the first sweet looking old lady, there was no one else that matched any of the faces in that book.
It wasn’t as if this place was a place for dangerous criminals to gather.
“Welcome to the village of the Lost Ones, is this your first time here?” A young girl came over as if she wanted something from us.
“No, we’re looking for someone.” I said with a smile.
“Oh, so you’ve been here before?” She replied in a disappointed voice.
“That’s right, there’s no need for a guide. I already know the rules of this place.”
She looked even more disappointed when she heard this, but she gave a nod and walked off in the end.
“Lost Ones?” Dorothy asked in a confused voice.
With the same smile, I said, “As the name implies, this is the place for those that don’t have anywhere else to go. In short, they are the ones that have lost their place in society and have become part of the Lost Ones.”
This seemed to make her even more confused, but I just said, “There’s not much time left before the sun sets. We don’t want to be outside when the sun sets.”
A worried look appeared on Dorothy’s face when she heard this, but I didn’t give her a chance to say anything as I had the Fenrir head in a certain direction.
