Adam was confused, but he silently waited for Nora to leave before entering the room. Again. He slightly bowed his head toward Alric and then hesitated.

“Sir, we have instead a good amount of the latest technology of cancer treatment. And we have brought many new sets of latest MRI machines too. Though I want to expand our company too. But would it not be better that we focus on opening more branches in different cities and countries or even merging a few other hospitals. I am sure a mall could bring profit, but the efforts are not worth it.” he tread carefully as he searched for Altic’s expression.

If the boss still wanted a mall, he could not refuse him. But he still wishes that he could do much better with that money.

Alric frowned at the man. Adam was quick at work and meticulous but he could not read the mood.

“I want you to buy all the jewellery shops, not shopping malls.” he explained, pinching the space between his brows.

Adam frowned further. Surely, the amount of gold and diamond is rising but he did not like that business.

“Sir, then we need to deal with arrogant women everyday.” he did not want to do that.

Alric snickers at the reply.

“You speak like you do not deal with them now.” The man was stunned but he did not refuse. They provide the best facilities in the country. It had always attracted the rich and elite but many times they were unreasonable.

They pressurize the staff for treating them so fast which was not possible at all. It was a hospital not a black magic coven.

“Yes, so I do not want to deal with them anymore.” Adam formed his words, ready to fight till the end. At least now he was working for the welfare of the society even if the society was full of degenerates.

“Then you can always leave the job and stay at home.” Alric picked up another file and signed it without so much of a reaction on his face that stunned Adam. he felt like an abandoned child.

“Boss! How about we discuss the plan with other directors and see what they think about it?” Now he could only hope that not many want to diverge from their line.

Alric finally let go of the file. But the look he gave to Adam stunned him. He looked like Adam was a fool and did not deserve to be there.

“Boss!”

“I want to give a good engagement ring to nora. But I am not sure what she would like.” he explained in a cold and curt voice as if he was discussing a business deal. But Adam did not mind the tone.

He knew Alric was only kind to his family and Nora. so he graped on the main point.

“Wait! So you want me to buy the biggest jewelry shop in our country. I mean the whole shop so that madam could choose the jewels she wanted for herself and prepare a good engagement ring?” the man gulped. He was going to have a stomach ache tonight.

What was this!? An extreme level of public display of affection or had he finally lost his mind in love?

“Is it not enough? Then I can buy more.” no! This man had completely lost it.

“Boss, how about you go and choose a ring instead. I am sure whatever you choose for the madam, she would like it.” Adma softened his voice and tried to hide his pleading but Alric only frowned looking unimpressed.

“I do not want to do that. I want her to have everything. A single ring would not suffice my love for her.”

“….” at this point, Adam did not even know what he should reply. Looking at the determined look on Alric;s face, he could only give up.

Each jewel costs millions and there are many which cost even billions or more. While Alric treated them like they were just dresses one could wear and throw.

“Alright, i will fix the meeting for acquisition then.” he bowed his head reluctantly as he cried without tears.

Just when he had turned to walk out, Alric called him again.

“Wait!” hope rose in his heart. Could it be that his boss had realized it was a foolish idea?

With eyes full of expectation, he turned to look at Alric, “yes boss. Do you want to change your plans? Just say it and I will give you better ideas.” Alric scoffed at his bright eyes.

“When you are at it, buy a good flower shop too and ask them to deliver all of their flowers to Nora’s company daily. They should all be beautiful ones.”

“…. daily?” Adam was left stunned. “You want to deliver her a shop full of all kinds of flowers daily?” Did the boss fall down or hit his head while coming to the office today?

“Yes, and it should be accompanied by a dozen rings.” Alric waved his hands in dismissal when he saw Adam stood rooted to his place with a horrified look on his face.

“But sir, the company funds…” Adam hesitated. As much as he was happy for his boss. He knew the directors would create a fuss if they came to know about all this extravagance. Even the king and queen did not celebrate like that.

“Do not worry about it. I am using my personal savings for all that. You have my card, right?” Adam nodded at once this time. He had been holding Alric’s card and all the money had earned so far was all under it. Alric never needed to spend much since he did not have any hobbies and he did not enjoy his life like other rich brats.

He had never thought that boss was saving all his income for his lover.

“Alright boss, I will do it now.” This time Adam left with a sincere face. Alric smiled just as Adam left. He picked up his phone. Nora had only left now and he was already missing her.
