Chapter 1351: Targeting the Dark Master Base!
William didn’t wait for her to catch up and started his attacking spree. Two tails held the bow, while the other two grabbed the arrows, placed them over the bows, pulled the strings, and launched them.
As they were fighting against a large number of dark masters, William didn’t need to properly aim. Anywhere his arrows would land, they would take away lots of enemies amidst the explosions that erupted.
“Wow! I know these arrows are good, but I never thought they would be this deadly!!” she got taken aback by the magnitude of destruction these arrows caused when they exploded!
The explosive arrows she was familiar with would unleash destruction that covers up a few metres in radius. Yet every single arrow exploded and unleashed thick pillars of fire, covering up areas with tens of metres in diameter!
She couldn’t help herself but try out the arrows to make sure William wasn’t the reason behind such weird explosions. Her arrows did the same damage, and the damage escalated and grew with more arrows exploding at close distance!
“This is… Unbelievable!!!” she was genuinely shocked, and William smiled from the side.
“There is no secret in the arrows I made,” he could read her mind. The first thing she thought of was that William must have used some sort of secretive technique or perhaps a secret formula in making these arrows, “it’s the quality in the outer world ores that make all the difference!”
“Ah, I get it now!” she nodded in realisation when she heard what he said, “I now realise why you used the outer world ores; you are a cunning bastard, you know that?!”
“I’ll take this as a compliment,” William laughed, “let’s focus on attacking them, I can see lots of those bastards rallying to stop us!”
“Let them try,” seeing how deadly these arrows were, gave her the confidence to fight this battle.
“I can tell the reason why you insisted that only the two of us will come here. I doubt anyone will be able to match your insane movement or read through your fighting style!”
After fighting with him for half an hour, she finally grasped the main reason behind his weird decision back then. She noticed that despite him dashing around, looking as if he was aimlessly wandering through the battlefield, yet he was still following a well-known moving technique from the upper world.
This technique was considered one of the top-notch movement techniques in the upper realm! It was never easy to learn and was harder to adapt to from a comrade who wasn’t familiar with this technique!
Luckily, she knew how to use this technique, and that made her read through his chaotic looking movement, matching and coping easier with his crazy fighting style!
William would never stand in one spot for more than one second! He kept dashing and jumping from one point to another, not giving his enemies a single chance to attack him, not to mention there was literally no way to stop him!
This movement technique would puzzle both, allies and enemies, if they didn’t know about it. That was why William was confident in fighting all alone against tons of enemies, “how did you know I was familiar with this technique?!” and at some point, she couldn’t help but ask.
“Don’t lower your guard,” William felt like she was acting freely and without much burden, as if she was taking a stroll of something, “they are still formidable foes!”
“I know,” she chuckled, “but as long as they don’t have any master familiar with this technique, they have zero chance of stopping us…”
*Rumble!*
Just before she would continue her words, an earth-shattering rumble landed on their heads. Before she could grasp what was going on, William instantly flashed, held her by the waist, before dashing as fast as he could away from the mountain they just jumped at!
“Stop jinxing us!” William shouted while a brutal explosion happened behind. Swarms of thick tongues of fire erupted, engulfed almost the entire mountain top, taking away the lives of any dark master standing there.
*Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!*
As if it was the end of the world, a scary long series of explosions followed, all caused by the breakdown of the mountain body into big boulders, ending up falling mercilessly all the way around.
The dark masters who were standing on the mountain body or the floor all got into this mess. William kept flashing fast, moving away from that mountain, before putting Becky down.
“Don’t underestimate them!” He glared at her in a clear warning way, while she responded by a simple raise of arms in the air, with an expression that told him she was enjoying her time and not taking this fight seriously at all!
She was indeed enjoying herself in this fight. She didn’t feel threatened at all! Even if William didn’t move out to help, she was confident she would easily survive that death trap.
“They seem to take us seriously now,” she laughed, “they planted an explosive formation to cover the entire top of the mountain!”
“That can’t be done on a whim,” William ignored the excitement in her tone, “these must be defensive preparations put long before to protect their base… I never saw such defences for a long time, that means…”
“They are feeling threatened!” Becky chuckled, and William simply ignored her remark.
“It means the base here isn’t a simple one,” he looked around, “we need to infiltrate and gather anything of value down there!”
“Don’t tell me you covet their useless wealth,” she rolled her eyes, totally missing his point.
“I don’t care about that kind of sht,” William was speechless when she said this, “I’m after plans, information about other dark master bases in this kingdom, or even leads to other bases in nearby kingdoms!”
This was the main thing he had in mind. As he estimated the level of this dark master base to be some sort of a leading gathering for dark master forces, he wanted to get any information he could find down there.
