Chapter 1347: Staying Behind!
[Sure, I can sniff lots of dirty plays going on] Fang responded with an agreement, then the two started to plan for their next move.

In fact, William didn’t mind any of that once he learnt about what was going on. To him, he knew this time the competition would be hard to predict the winning girl.

Still, he didn’t like how other girls considered Anjie a goner. Even if she suffered such a hit, she was still a princess of a kingdom. Even if her father failed her, failed everyone in the kingdom, she was still going to be their savior!

And he wouldn’t ever underestimate such a foe, neither should the other girls.

“I’ll let them learn by experience,” he calmly smiled, while watching tons of masters going through the portals to their destination, “this should be quite a useful adventure for them.”

William didn’t leave first with any group. In fact, he decided that he and Becky would be left behind, act later on and join the toughest battles.

“Are you sure?” Becky stayed by his side, while watching everyone summing up more masters and moving through many portals, “you didn’t even try to gather a special group for you, not to mention amassing an entire force to follow your command!”

“Everyone is following my command,” William gave her a weird look, while acting as if he didn’t get what she truly meant.

“Don’t play fool with me,” she was startled at first, before she realised he was toying with her, “you know what I mean.”

“I know,” William calmly smiled, “but I don’t need any group to follow me, you are more than enough.”

“…” she didn’t know why she paused when he said this. For a moment there, she even felt her heart racing a little bit!

“Anyway, we will let the young masters compete for glory, and deadly masters like us will only move to save their lives,” he shrugged, acting as if he was some old monster from the upper world, not a young master himself from the lower realm.

“You are arrogant,” Becky helplessly shook her head, “but I have to admit, you have what it takes for a paragon. Are you a descendant of a formidable clan? Did you fall here thanks to some old grievances with other big clans and forces up there?”

“No clue,” William smiled at first, then couldn’t help but laugh, “I can’t deny it, you have a unique sense of humour.”

“You are shameless,” she puffed her cheeks, while turning around and ignoring him.

Thirty-five large groups of masters kept moving through portals to the four kingdoms. The initial plan of relying on the Fox Guild masters from all branches in the world escalated to recruit outside masters.

It all started by what the three girls did, Berry, Sara, and Ro. Lara then joined and recruited lots of masters from the city, while Anjie didn’t fall behind and started rallying her destroyed kingdom’s masters.

Among all, Anjie had the upper hand without anyone realising it. Everyone recruited small forces or roaming masters. Instead, Anjie recruited ex-military masters from her kingdom. On top of that, the disparity in training, discipline, and experience in dealing with harsh situations and large battles was clearly in favour for Anjie’s faction.

Lina was the only girl who didn’t have that much support, and it was expected. So, without anyone noticing, William favoured her by giving her more masters from the upper realm. On top of that, William planned to move out and help her first if she was in need of any aid.

The other armies were led by many new faces and names whom he didn’t notice before. When he asked, he learnt that they were either old masters who joined the guild like Fang, or they were prodigies rising up in the Black Tails group.

“It seems this war is going to bring lots of good seedlings to the big stage,” he was curious to see who would shine and excel in their tasks.

These names were all suggested by his friends in that meeting. He knew they knew better than anyone about the hopeful masters in the guild, and so he decided to trust their judgment.

On top of that, he kept track of who suggested what masters. At the end, he would run a check and see who had better judgment than others.

The general tactic was the same for all groups. Masters of this world would act by any means to lure those mutated and evolved monsters to a trapped area, where lots of formations would be waiting for them.

The formations would use materials from the outer world, processed by William and Becky. These were enough to trap tens of thousands of monsters without any risk of breaking. As for killing them, it was a task for the higher realm masters.

In theory, fighting those monsters should be easy. But William knew better. Such monsters were cunning, ruthless, and unpredictable! They reminded him of how hard it was to fight against that remnant of the fox monster in this world.

These monsters would have lots of intelligence to put up a good fight against any master, even those from the upper realm. The early clashes would be easy to emerge victorious from, yet later on battles would prove challenging for anyone.

Monsters wouldn’t easily fall into the same trick again, and attempting to lure and trap them would be harder than ever. On top of that, the losses of masters would grow in a scary way, while these monsters would keep growing stronger with time.

Unlike how Becky imagined, William knew they would receive lots of aiding requests especially after the end of day one of war. The two of them might seem not enough to help at any battle, but he thought differently.

He knew he excelled at working solo, and in such battles, it would be better to let monsters be taken by surprise by his arrival and involvement.
