Chapter 1331: Handing Bombs Over
“Hmm, so the kingdom can only take three bombs, not bad,” William faked his loss in contemplation, while he didn’t even need to think twice about what to do, “I’ll give you three bombs, one thousand trained masters. You know how to do this, you need to cover the ground, sides, and floor with these defensive layers, not a single spot left untouched, got it?”
“I know, but… How about the rest?!” Sloth was genuinely worried, “Anjie is already in the kingdom capital, arranging masters to handle these formations. They’ll learn from your masters and then take over from there. But…”
“Don’t worry about my problems,” William calmly smiled, “I will find a way! Just make sure to send Anjie with the one thousand masters back as soon as possible, got it?”
“O… Ok…” Sloth intended to send the one thousand masters back. In fact, he never wanted them to go and visit any of the three places the kingdom picked. For a reason there, Sloth felt like these places would be of the utmost importance for the future of the kingdom, and their locations must be kept hidden and safe.
Yet he didn’t intend to send Anjie back, not this soon, not until William figured out a way to handle the rest of the bombs. He would never send his precious disciple and the kingdom’s princess to meet her doom, never!
“Don’t overthink it, old man,” William could easily read what was in Sloth’s mind, “first you’ll have the least number of bombs compared to my guild and my allies. Second, I’m the one who taught you and everyone about how to properly handle these bombs, so don’t question my ability to handle them, ok?”
“…”
Even when William said these words, Sloth still didn’t plan to let Anjie come back soon. He made sure the king got the message, and he managed to convince his daughter to stay behind, oversee the work by the masters, and handle the detonation of the three bombs.
“You can go back,” William noticed that Sloth didn’t leave, “why are you sticking around like this?”
“I want… I’m waiting for these masters,” Sloth intended to stick around and see how William would solve this predicament. He didn’t know if this kid was able to pull another miracle or not. But if William managed to handle this situation, then it would be better to learn where these bombs got detonated at!
“They will be sent over in a few hours to the capital,” William waved his hand, “you can go back now and leave behind a few masters to handle their transport.”
“I’d better stay behind and handle them…” Sloth didn’t like how William acted, and yet he was stubborn and stuck around.
“He wants to see what you’ll do with these,” Becky said the obvious, and William simply shrugged.
“Once I’m done with materials here, I’ll start moving around like crazy. Anyway, I’ll prepare enough for the masters on their side,” he paused while sending a message over to Lina. The latter picked one thousand masters and sent them over to William.
“Here,” William delivered rings with enough processed materials, “you’ll work the same way you learnt here, and you’ll teach masters from the kingdom, then come back over and look for Lina. She will tell you what to do next.”
William laid down his instructions in front of Sloth, before handing three bombs over to the old man, “they have at least one hundred hours to detonate, so make it count!”
“Don’t worry,” Sloth didn’t move an inch, handed the bombs and the one thousand masters over to one of his trusted masters, “do as we agreed before.”
“Hmph,” William simply harrumphed, and didn’t say a word to Sloth. He could tell the old man was trying his best to stick his nose in others’ business. And William didn’t intend to be nice to anyone doing such a rude thing.
As he finished handling the first three bombs, he returned to work over the materials with more dedication. Soon enough, more of his messengers came back, all with great news!
“Granpa is ready to receive the bomb,” Sara was the second to show up, “but he asked… Is it really safe to do this?”
“Totally safe,” William didn’t dwell about this point, “take five hundred masters, work as fast as you can, add a double layer of formations there, and then come back here and ask Lina for more instructions.”
“Got it!” Sara could easily tell how really busy he was! He even didn’t stop working on materials while saying these words to her. After he sent Sara with enough materials and masters, Berry and Ro came back at the same time.
“… Do as I say, make sure to not leave a spot untouched,” William repeated his instructions over and over again, while handing the bombs and materials to everyone, alongside enough masters.
For Ro, he sent just two hundred masters with her. He instructed them to teach other masters and then come back. As for Berry, he sent five hundred masters with her.
“Three bombs at the kingdom, one bomb for Lara’s city, one bomb for the Scorching Lands town, one for the Long clan and one for the academy… That’s seven bombs… I’ll need two more for my guild bases, so it leaves twelve bombs to handle… Not bad!”
William was close to finishing working on the materials when he summed everything up. He already sent one bomb with John, who came to handle this part on behalf of the guild’s town in Lara’s city’s vicinity. As for the Scorching Lands headquarters, William entrusted this for Moore, alongside one thousand masters.
He knew the underground space under his guild headquarters wasn’t that spacious. Yet he didn’t want to have any problems with this place. As for Moore, he picked him as he was the only one who accompanied him when he entered that place a long time ago. So he was familiar with the place and knew how to handle any unexpected situation the best.
