Chapter 1330: Finishing the Defensive Layer
Working together with Becky proved to be a wise move! What took William hours to finish didn’t need more than half an hour to get it done. In addition to the extra gain in materials, gears, and other stuff.

William didn’t notify Sloth to stop getting materials for him. In fact, he never returned a single master Sloth sent over.

As Becky was handling the longest part, molting and cleansing the ores, William finally had time to take care of a loose end.

“I’ll go and finalise the defensive layer here,” after two hours of working together he said, “I think I’ll take an hour, during this make sure to keep the ready molten ores on a side fire using…”

“The Hot Elrantic Technique, right? Don’t worry, I got this!” She picked one of the most suitable techniques to do the trick, and William couldn’t help but nod in agreement.

William dashed without wasting any more time. He previously had to work in the middle of a brutal battle, be it here or at the underground city with monsters. This time the fight was over, and he could easily move and work without any interruption.

As he returned to the spot he left off, he noticed that lots of his guild masters were working on a large scale, laying down lots of formations. He took a few minutes to watch and analyse their performance, and he was quite pleased by what he saw!

“They taught a large number indeed,” William could tell these masters, despite working slower than usual, were about to finish laying down formations here in roughly an hour, “that will make me look bad, hehehe!”

He started to work, picking up pace, and finalising the big area above the portal. As one hour passed, both he and his guild masters almost finished at the same time!

“You did great, all of you,” William landed in front of the thousands of his guild masters, “you need more practice, so why not add a second layer of defenses here?”

“As you wish,” Mark was in the forefront of all those masters, “I want to teach more, as more masters are waiting to take part in this.”

“Sure, why not,” William paused, before adding, “only prioritise our guild masters, no outsiders, for the time being!”

William knew at some point, he would be forced to teach other masters the way. That would be true for faraway places, like the academy, the Long clan, or even the kingdom. He knew the kingdom would ask for their masters to learn the way, especially when Sloth was the one leading the kingdom’s efforts towards that goal.

William knew that the master wouldn’t stop at anything to add more gains to the kingdom. “That old faggot thinks the world revolves around the kingdom, or even around this low world… His perspective is as narrow as a needle hole, dammit!”

Sloth was always trying his best to get on William’s nerves. William didn’t bother himself with most of what Sloth did, but at some point, he would resist the urge to teach that old master a lesson.

The guild masters acted fast, while William was waiting for any news from the messengers he sent all over the world. “I have twenty-one bombs, one will detonate here, one at the guild’s town, one at guild’s headquarters, one at the Scorching Lands town, one at the academy, one at the Long clan… That leaves fifteen bombs… Will I be forced to waste these over useless enemies?”

William knew how valuable this chance was! In fact, he was positive that using the help of the newly created spaces with the higher spirit power concentrations, many masters would evolve and climb in ranks fast, even many would be able to cross the barrier to the higher realm thanks to that.

William didn’t want such a chance to be wasted, not even on formidable enemies. “Fifteen bombs… That’s a lot to let them get wasted like this… Wait a minute…”

As he was considering all options, he thought of something crazy, “Fifteen places… I think I know where to find these…”

His eyes shone brightly, while a plan started to form in his mind. As he had a way to get the most benefits out of this disaster, he returned to Becky with a grin on his face.

“What happened? Did you win the lottery or something?” She noticed how pleased he was.

“I just found a proper way to use these bombs the best,” William couldn’t help but laugh when he recalled his simple, yet brilliant solution.

“I want to ask you about this,” Becky paused, before adding, “I know these bombs are deadly, but why do I feel like you know something else about them, something I don’t know?”

“Wanna know? Stick around and you’ll see for yourself,” William winked in a playful manner. He was in a very good mood right now, and that was apparent on his face, tone, and actions.

Even when he returned to work on these materials, his speed was way higher than usual, despite not putting too much effort into it like before.

William managed to make almost double of what he could have done in one hour! And by then, the first of the messengers returned with news.

“Why am I not surprised by seeing you here as the first master to do it?” William couldn’t help but roll his eyes when he noticed Sloth running fast towards him.

“The kingdom is far from here, and we need to make lots of preparations, so we have no time to waste,” Sloth faked him, running short of breaths, when William was sure he didn’t even leave this area at all!

He just went outside and kept contacting the outside world using his masters!

“Ok, and?” William didn’t dwell for too long over this point, wanting to know what news the kingdom brought.

“We found suitable places to accommodate three bombs,” Sloth paused, before turning his eyes towards the twenty-one bombs on the ground, “that makes it impossible to contain all of them. That’s why I ran as fast as I could when I heard the news. What shall we do now about the rest?”
