Chapter 369: BATTLE IN THE VOID VI
“Now. What can you do for me?” Aaron asked with a smile, appearing suddenly in front of Chen Ye.

His teleportation was instantaneous, leaving a faint ripple in the fractured darkness, his stance relaxed yet commanding as he faced the cultivator.

“Just kill me already. You have won. I can’t defeat you,” Chen Ye muttered, losing the will to fight after seeing Reign casually defeated.

His shoulders slumped, the obsidian darkness in his eyes dimming slightly, his voice carrying a heavy resignation that echoed in the unstable void.

“Now where’s the fun in that? It’s rather too early to give up, don’t you think?” Aaron replied, his tone light and teasing. He tilted his head, eyes narrowing with amusement, the chaotic lights dancing across his features as he prodded at Chen Ye’s resolve.

“What’s the point of fighting someone you can’t win?” Chen Ye responded, prepared to lose his life.

He stood still, his sword hanging loosely at his side, the weight of defeat pressing down on him like an invisible burden in the endless expanse.

“Tsk. At least Chen Wo had enough pride to fight to the bitter end. You are just a coward,” Aaron mocked, his words sharp like a blade.

He shook his head in mock disappointment, the turbulent streams around them twisting as if in response to his scorn.

Aaron stretched his hands toward Chen Ye’s face to claim his eyes, fingers extending slowly with intent.

The air between them crackled faintly, his mystic gaze fixed on the obsidian depths, anticipation building in his posture.

“Perhaps, I should be even more shameless,” Chen Ye said with a faint smile, his expression shifting to one of quiet defiance.

His lips curved upward slightly, a glint of resolve returning to his features amid the surrounding chaos.

Aaron felt goosebumps from Chen Ye’s words, a chill running down his spine despite his power.

His instincts screamed at him to end Chen Ye’s life before it was too late, every fiber of his being alerting him to an impending danger lurking in the void’s depths.

“What did you do?” Aaron asked, a frown creasing his face as he froze time around them.

The chaotic expanse stilled, luminous currents halting mid-twist, the fractured darkness suspending in an eerie silence.

“It’s too late. The deed has been done,” Chen Ye said with a bitter look on his face, his voice cutting through the frozen moment.

His eyes held a mix of regret and satisfaction, the obsidian hue reflecting the halted turbulence.

“You… how?” Aaron was surprised, seeing Chen Ye able to bypass his frozen time zone.

His eyes widened slightly, mystic gaze analyzing the anomaly, the void’s randomness now locked in place around them.

“I already activated it,” Chen Ye replied with a smile, his tone carrying a hint of triumph despite the pain.

He stood unmoving, the array’s faint glow beginning to manifest even in the temporal stasis.

“Aaarghhhh!!!!!!!” Chen Ye roared in agony, the pain he felt several times greater than the pain Reign was enduring.

His body convulsed, face contorting as flames erupted around his eyes, the scream reverberating through the still void.

His destruction eyes were soon engulfed in flames, burning fiercely with an unnatural intensity.

The fire licked at his sockets, charring the surrounding skin, the heat radiating outward to warp the nearby pockets of space.

Around Chen Ye, an array lit up gradually, intricate symbols glowing with ethereal light.

The patterns etched into the void’s fabric, pulsing rhythmically as energy built within them, illuminating the fractured darkness with a ominous hue.

Aaron watched the scene with curiosity, wondering what was going on despite the warning bells in his mind.

He stood poised, mystic eyes dissecting every detail of the unfolding ritual, the halted time allowing him a moment of analysis.

[Aaron. I’m having a bad feeling about this]

“As am I. But I can’t do anything about it. The array is indestructible,” Aaron replied, closely analyzing it with his mystic eyes.

His focus intensified, the glow in his gaze piercing through the symbols, yet finding no weakness in their ancient design.

From the rift that tore open in the void, a man slowly appeared, emerging like a specter from the depths.

The tear in space widened gradually, ethereal mists swirling around the edges as his form solidified.

He had dark black hair flowing down freely down his shoulders, cascading like a midnight river.

The strands moved with an otherworldly grace, untouched by the void’s turbulence, framing his imposing presence.

He adorned a black robe flowing elegantly, with a mysterious sigil embroidered on the chest.

The fabric seemed to absorb the erratic lights, the symbol glowing faintly with arcane power, adding to his enigmatic aura.

The robe exposed his hands, which had intricate and special inscriptions over them, tattooed in glowing lines.

The markings pulsed softly, as if alive, weaving patterns that hinted at immense, forbidden knowledge etched into his skin.

The man looked young, his stunning face giving Aaron a run for his money in terms of striking features.

Sharp jawline, piercing eyes, and flawless skin that radiated an ageless vitality, making him appear both timeless and dangerously alluring.

The man that appeared was Chen Mo.

But it was not the current version of Chen Mo, but a younger version, preserved in astral form.

His presence filled the void with an oppressive weight, the chaotic streams bending slightly away from him as if in deference.

“You summoned me. I never expected one of my sons to cowardly summon me. You have failed and disappointed me greatly,” the young version of Chen Mo said, shaking his head in disappointment.

His voice was smooth yet commanding, carrying the echo of authority that resonated through the fractured expanse.

Chen Ye didn’t say anything, barely bowing his head in shame.

His posture slumped further, eyes downcast, the flames’ remnants still smoldering around his sockets, the weight of his father’s judgment pressing down heavier than any physical blow.

The Chen Mo before him was an astral form of Chen Mo.
