Chapter 352: BATTLING ELVES
“My queen. You need not concern yourself with someone unfitting of your status. Allow me to take care of the pest,” one of the elves, standing close to the female elf, requested.

His voice filled with devoted eagerness, his eyes gleaming with loyalty under the starlit canopy.

“Go ahead then,” the elf queen nodded graciously, allowing the elf to do as he pleased.

She stepped aside with elegant poise, her dress swaying lightly in the weightless environment, maintaining her regal composure.

The elf was one of the generals under her, his armor etched with intricate leaf motifs.

They gleamed subtly in the starlight, the designs seeming to breathe with faint, verdant energy that mirrored the vitality of thriving woodlands.

After paying his respect to the elf queen with a deep, reverent bow, the elf moved forward. He stood before Astral with a commanding presence, his stance firm and unyielding amid the swirling cosmic dust.

“Be prepared to lose your life,” he informed Astral coldly, unsheathing two of his daggers.

They slid out with a sharp, metallic whisper, their edges honed to deadly perfection, catching glints of starlight that made them appear almost ethereal.

Astral refrained from replying to the elf. Mana swirled around him like a favored child, coiling protectively in gentle wisps that shimmered with ethereal blue hues.

His disposition remained one of unwavering calmness, his stance firm amid the vast cosmic expanse where stars twinkled like distant jewels.

The elf moved swiftly like the wind, his form cutting through the vacuum with effortless grace.

The starlight glinted off his armor’s leaf motifs, casting fleeting shadows that danced across the void.

He appeared before Astral in an instant, swinging his dagger towards Astral’s neck.

The blade whistled faintly in the silent space, its edge honed to a razor-sharp gleam that promised swift lethality.

But automatically, a mana shield materialized to protect Astral from the attack.

It formed a translucent barrier, glowing softly with arcane energy that hummed like a distant melody in the emptiness.

The mana shield was sliced in two by the elf’s blade effortlessly, the cut clean and precise.

The blade continued moving unopposed towards Astral, parting the air with a subtle ripple that disturbed the nearby cosmic dust.

Stretching his hand forward, Astral actively created several layers of mana shields to block the advancing blade.

Each layer stacked upon the last, their surfaces rippling like water under tension, fortified by his focused will.

The blade sliced through several layers of the mana shields before finally coming to a stop.

Sparks of residual energy scattered like fleeting fireflies, dissipating into the starry backdrop with a faint crackle.

The elf clicked his tongue in disapproval, the sound sharp and echoing faintly in the void.

Moving again with blinding speed, he appeared behind Astral, his presence shifting like a shadow in the galactic light.

His movement was hard to track by Astral, as he disappeared into a blur in an instant.

The elf’s form seemed to dissolve into the surrounding nebulae, leaving only a trail of distorted starlight in his wake.

Appearing at Astral’s back, he swung his sword in hopes of cleaving Astral in two.

The weapon arced through the space with ferocious intent, its blade humming with infused vitality that made the air around it vibrate subtly.

But once more, Astral defended the attack by counterattacking.

He channeled his mana swiftly, his mind racing through tactical possibilities amid the tension of battle.

He created a mana shield once more. But this time, he set the mana shield to detonate should it receive any damage, infusing it with volatile energy that pulsed like a contained storm.

His quick thinking worked perfectly. The elf was swung backward from the explosion of the mana shield, the blast erupting in a brilliant flash of light that illuminated the nearby stars and sent shockwaves rippling through the void.

“Oh?” the elf queen exclaimed, quite pleased by the smart move of Astral.

Her voice carried a note of genuine intrigue, her glowing crown crystals flickering brighter in response to the display.

“Next time you send someone to test me, I advise you send someone smarter,” Astral finally spoke.

His tone was steady and laced with quiet confidence, cutting through the lingering echoes of the explosion.

He directed his words to the elf queen, staring directly into her eyes.

Their gazes locked amid the cosmic serenity, her pearl-like skin reflecting the subtle afterglow of the blast.

“You bastard,” the elf cursed at Astral, his eyes bloodshot with fury. Veins pulsed faintly on his forehead, his grip tightening on the daggers as anger boiled within him.

He felt annoyed at Astral for embarrassing him in the presence of the elf queen.

The humiliation stung like a fresh wound, his cheeks flushing slightly under the galactic illumination.

“You are just too dumb. Trying to impress her with your battle. I don’t see you ever winning her heart in any future,” Astral called out to the elf, disappointment written plainly on his face.

His expression held a mix of pity and disdain, his runes glowing faintly as if underscoring his words.

“You..!!” the elf called out to Astral, nearly choking on his own saliva after being caught off guard.

His voice cracked slightly, the surprise widening his eyes amid the swirling nebulae.

“What nonsense are you on?” the elf asked after regaining his composure.

He straightened his posture, forcing a mask of indifference over his features, though tension lingered in his clenched jaw.

Of course, he denied it the best way he could, to prevent the queen from knowing his intentions.

But Astral didn’t care. To Astral, whatever the elf did was none of his business, a trivial distraction in the grand scheme of conquest.

After finally being able to calm his emotions, the elf stared at Astral with simmering anger.

His breath steadied, but his gaze burned like heated embers, fixed intently on his opponent.

He held his daggers tightly, the weapons’ edges catching glints of starlight.

His knuckles whitened from the grip, ready to channel his frustration into renewed assault.

He was prepared for another round of fight with Astral. His stance shifted aggressively, feet planting firmly in the weightless void as he anticipated the clash.

“There is no need for that. You have already been marked,” Astral said to the elf, his voice lacking energy after seeing the man prepping up for another attack.

The words carried a weary finality, his calm demeanor unshaken by the elf’s persistence.
