Chapter 350: ONE WITH GREAT POTENTIAL
Jarrett found out he was unable to move, his entire body not listening to his command, frozen in place as if invisible chains had wrapped around his form.

Jarrett, panicking, tried to release his phoenix flames to break free, but even that was futile, the fire sputtering weakly before fading into impotence.

“What did you do?” Jarrett screamed, panic, fear, and despair plastered on his face, his eyes wide with the horror of impending doom.

Chen Mo didn’t bother to reply to Jarrett, his focus unwavering as he drove his right arm into Jarrett’s chest with unerring precision.

He forcefully ripped out Jarrett’s core from his chest, the glowing orb pulsing faintly in his grasp, essence dripping like liquid light between his fingers.

“You bastard…,” Jarrett swore, his life force slowly diminishing as he faced true death before the hands of Chen Mo, his voice fading into a weak rasp.

Storing the core and body of Jarrett away with a casual gesture, Chen Mo exited the battle scene, his form gliding through the void with effortless poise.

He left the spectators behind, their whispers trailing after him like fading echoes in the wind.

Behind him, Aetherion followed closely, his steps measured and silent, a shadow trailing the ascending force that was Chen Mo.

—

Chen Mo arrived at his home, a secluded abode hidden within the swirling mists of the Primordial realm, its architecture blending seamlessly with the ethereal surroundings, walls shimmering like veils of condensed essence that whispered ancient secrets.

Aetherion arrived shortly after, following Chen Mo from behind, his presence a quiet echo in the corridors, footsteps light yet purposeful as he navigated the familiar paths with ease.

Chen Mo arrived at his training room, a spacious chamber bathed in a soft, ambient glow from floating orbs of pure energy that hovered like silent guardians.

He sat down cross-legged on the polished floor, preparing to absorb the core, his breathing steady as he centered his mind, the air around him growing thicker with concentrated power.

“How long will it take for you to refine the core and absorb it?” Aetherion asked, leaning casually against the wall, his arms folded as he watched with a mix of curiosity and quiet concern etched on his timeless features.

“It won’t be long before I do and ascend,” Chen Mo replied evenly, his gaze fixed on the pulsating core in his hand, its inner light casting flickering shadows across the room’s rune-etched surfaces.

“But that’s not the hard part. The moderators. They won’t allow you to act freely should they find out you forcefully ascended,” Aetherion warned, his tone laced with caution, eyes narrowing as he recalled the shadowy enforcers who patrolled the boundaries of realms.

“That’s the reason I need more allies to deal with the moderators,” Chen Mo stated matter-of-factly, his voice carrying the weight of strategic foresight amid the chamber’s serene quietude.

“It might be difficult finding someone that can ascend and support you against the moderators. The rest of us can’t ascend without the death of the moderators,” Aetherion reminded Chen Mo, wondering if he had forgotten, his words hanging heavy like unspoken doubts in the still air.

“I’m aware. But what about the good seedlings under your radar?” Chen Mo asked, shifting his focus slightly, a glint of interest sparking in his otherwise impassive eyes.

“I don’t know if they have what it takes to do the impossible like you and ascend despite the ascension path being cut off,” Aetherion brooded, his voice low and reflective, staring into the distance as if weighing the potential of distant prospects.

“Then I will have to do it by myself,” Chen Mo muttered, deciding to focus on refining the core, his resolve firming like an unbreakable vow in the face of solitude.

“Although, there might be someone of immense potential just on par with yours,” Aetherion added after a thoughtful pause, his words introducing a thread of possibility into the conversation.

“And who might that be?” Chen Mo inquired, his attention sharpening, the core momentarily set aside in his lap.

“Someone contacted me. I think his name is Aaron Highborn,” Aetherion revealed, leaning forward slightly, his expression hinting at intrigue born from rare encounters.

“And what makes you think he has talent on par with mine?” Chen Mo pressed, his curiosity evident, brows furrowing just a fraction in contemplation.

“The last time I met him, he had awakened the Primordial talent of time,” Aetherion explained, recalling the moment with vivid clarity, the memory stirring a subtle nod of acknowledgment.

“That’s not enough to qualify his talent,” Chen Mo waved Aetherion’s words off dismissively, though a subtle undercurrent of doubt lingered in his steady gaze.

“Actually, it is. Especially considering his rank,” Aetherion countered firmly, emphasizing the detail with a measured gesture.

“Hmm?” Chen Mo paused his concentration, turning his gaze to Aetherion slowly, the shift creating a brief, expectant silence in the room.

“What about his rank?” He asked, his interest now fully engaged, leaning slightly forward as the implications began to unfold in his mind.

“He had just surpassed the mundane rank when I saw him,” Aetherion disclosed, the revelation carrying the weight of extraordinary promise in the quiet confines of the training space.

“Are you sure about this?” Chen Mo asked, his curiosity piqued even further, eyes narrowing as he absorbed the significance of such rapid ascension.

“Indeed. Who knows, he might have grown stronger. Something about him interests me, especially considering he was able to utilize his Primordial time talent to rewind time for a universe I had destroyed,” Aetherion elaborated, his tone infused with genuine fascination at the feat’s implications.

“Hmm. If you are sure of what you are saying, that means he is a good seedling,” Chen Mo nodded his head thoughtfully, acknowledging the potential with a subtle inclination of approval.

“I’m convinced he is,” Aetherion affirmed, his confidence resonating clearly in the chamber’s hushed atmosphere.

“Very well. I want you to test his potential and confirm if he is really worth investing in to help defeat the moderators,” Chen Mo instructed, his command precise and authoritative, outlining the path forward with unwavering clarity.
