Chapter 330: MYSTIC EYES II
“That sounds dope. But then why am I receiving one only just now? Should have gotten a reward like this ages ago” Aaron asked, a grin spreading across his face, the thrill of exclusivity quickening his pulse.

But his thrill didn’t stop him from nagging the system.

[More like why are you even receiving one now. Should be receiving it when you are close to the pinnacle. If it’s ok with you I can withhold the reward]

“Such nonsense. Accept reward,” Aaron said in rushed breath, afraid the system might forcefully take his reward. Panic edged his words, eyes widening slightly in the void’s dim glow.

[Are you sure you want to? It’s gonna cause a _]

“Be quick about it please,” Aaron urged, impatience bubbling up, his hands clenching at his sides.

[Very well]

“That’s more like, aaarghhhhhhhh. Ahhhhhhhh. It hurts! My eyes are burning!” Aaron screamed, floating in space randomly, his hands placed on his eyes.

Agony exploded through his skull, a searing fire that blurred his vision, body convulsing in the weightless expanse.

He felt so much pain than he had ever felt since being reincarnated.

The torment was all-consuming, nerves aflame as if acid coursed through them, every fiber screaming in unison.

It felt like the very socket of his eyes was filled with molten magma.

Heat radiated inward, scorching tissues, tears evaporating before they could form, the vacuum amplifying the isolation of his suffering.

Aaron barely regained his sanity, his mental fortitude keeping him awake just barely.

Willpower clung like a fragile thread, breaths ragged and shallow, the stars spinning in his distorted perception.

It felt like an eternity of torture for Aaron, he couldn’t think of anything else aside the pain he felt.

Time stretched interminably, each second a lifetime of fire, his mind a haze of red agony.

His body weakened during the process, limbs going limp, energy draining as if siphoned away, floating helplessly amid the cosmic drift.

His eyes slowly began to transform, the usual eyes he had burned off completely.

The orbs liquefied in excruciating detail, vaporizing in wisps that dissipated into the void, leaving raw sockets throbbing with emptiness.

In his sockets were nothing but hollow holes, dark voids that stared blankly at the stars, blood trickling down his cheeks like crimson tears.

Then slowly and unhurriedly, a new pair of eyes began to materialize in his eye sockets. Ethereal light flickered within, forms coalescing from nothingness, each particle igniting fresh waves of torment.

The process was slow but filled with great torture for Aaron, every emerging detail a spike of pain, his screams echoing silently in the vacuum, body arching in futile resistance.

After what felt like an eternity of suffering and pain, the agony finally subsided.

Aaron’s body trembled in the aftermath, every nerve ending raw and exposed, the cold vacuum of space pressing against his sweat-drenched skin like an indifferent shroud.

“Hah… I don’t want to ever experience a pain like that,” Aaron muttered, still holding his eyes with his arms.

His voice came out hoarse, barely above a whisper, the echo of torment lingering in his throat as he floated aimlessly amid the distant twinkles of stars.

His entire body was drenched in sweat, causing him to release a great stench.

The salty moisture clung to his porcelain skin, mixing with the faint metallic tang of blood from minor abrasions, the odor sharp and pungent in the confined bubble of his personal atmosphere.

[Well. I don’t think you will be experiencing a pain like this in the nearest future.]

“Why couldn’t you warn me so I could at least prepare myself mentally?” Aaron queried the system, frustration bubbling up through the haze of relief, his fingers trembling slightly as they pressed against his closed lids.

[Was trying to. Didn’t ask you to be restless and not listen to what I had to say.]

“Tsk. The pain better be worth it,” Aaron muttered, raising the mirror.

His hand shook faintly as he summoneda reflective surface, the cool glass materializing in his palm with a subtle shimmer, his breath fogging it briefly in the chill of space.

He stared, and his reflection almost stole his breath.

The image gazed back with an otherworldly intensity, the transformation so profound it sent a shiver down his spine, his heart pounding with a mix of awe and unease.

His eyes were no longer human.

The once-familiar orbs had been replaced by something ethereal, a cosmic anomaly that seemed to draw in the surrounding starlight, making the void around him feel denser.

The irises burned with a liquid gold that seemed to flow like molten metal, yet within that fire swirled depths of the night sky, deep indigos and velvety blacks dotted with pinpricks of pure white light that danced like distant stars.

The golden hues shifted lazily, casting faint glimmers across his flawless features, evoking the sensation of peering into a living forge of celestial wonders.

The pupils were slits of obsidian, sharp and infinite, absorbing all light that touched them, yet reflecting a clarity that cut through illusions and truth alike.

They contracted slightly as he focused, pulling in the details of his own gaze, a bottomless depth that hinted at untold secrets hidden within.

Around the irises, fractal rings of shifting colors radiated outward, emeralds, violets, and blues that shimmered like light refracting through crystal, but the colors were not random;

they moved with a deliberate rhythm, pulsing with thought and perception, revealing awareness itself made visible.

The patterns swirled in hypnotic waves, responding to his inner turmoil, the vibrant hues casting subtle shadows across his cheeks in the dim cosmic glow.

Tiny, golden filaments arced across the sclera like threads of cosmic energy, weaving delicate, interlocking patterns that traced the paths of unseen forces.

They pulsed faintly with each heartbeat, as if mapping the invisible currents of the universe flowing through him, adding an intricate lattice to the already mesmerizing display.

The whites of his eyes were not flat; they glimmered faintly, as though infused with the faintest starlight, highlighting the irises as celestial portals.
