Chapter 329: MYSTIC EYES
“Brother!” Isobel called out, rushing to Void, holding his shoulder in confusion.
Her steps were frantic, boots splashing through the crimson puddles, her grip firm yet trembling as concern etched deep lines across her pale face.
“What’s going on?” Michael asked, arriving beside Isobel.
His eyes darted between Void and the queen bee, confusion knotting his brow, the residual heat from his transformation still warming his skin in the cooling night.
“I don’t know. He just started screaming,” she replied in confusion and fear.
Panic laced her words, her free hand hovering uncertainly, the metallic tang of blood thickening the air around them.
“What did you do?” Isobel asked the queen bee. Her tone was cold and filled with hatred, her face one that was scary.
Eyes narrowed into slits, fangs subtly bared, the hatred radiating from her like a palpable force that made the air feel heavier.
“What did you do to my brother!” Isobel repeated, she screamed, staring at the queen bee.
The yell tore from her throat, veins standing out on her neck, her posture shifting into one of predatory readiness amid the tense standoff.
“I did nothing. I haven’t started yet,” the queen bee replied, just as confused as Michael and Isobel.
Her wings buzzed erratically, antennae twitching in bewilderment, the admission carrying a note of genuine surprise that hung in the charged silence.
What Isobel was unaware of was that every clone suffered the fate of Void, holding their eyes tightly in pain and agony.
Across distant galaxies, identical screams echoed, bodies crumpling in synchronized torment, the shared anguish rippling through their connected essences like a cosmic wave.

Aaron returned to the sanctuary, finding it less populated than usual.
“It seems they are fulfilling the task just right,” Aaron muttered, pleased, feeling his strength increase over time.
A subtle warmth spread through his muscles, power surging in steady pulses, a satisfied smirk tugging at his lips.
“Soon I will be within the galactic rank and be able to have a rematch with those guys,” Aaron muttered, his voice echoing softly, eyes glinting with anticipation as he envisioned the clash, fists clenching involuntarily at his sides.
“Old man. I’m back,” Aaron called out to Dracula, his tone casual yet respectful, the words carrying across the amphitheater’s open space.
After getting to the sanctuary, Aaron had controlled time, appearing within the amphitheater platform he had created, finding Dracula training still.
“You are back,” Dracula responded, halting his training.
His movements ceased with precise control, sweat glistening on his ancient skin, the halt leaving a faint echo of his earlier strikes in the still air.
“Yup. I am, old man,” Aaron replied, crossing his arms, the dark cloak settling around him like a familiar shadow.
“And the task. Did you accomplish your goal?” Dracula inquired, his gaze piercing, arms lowering as he turned fully to face Aaron, the amphitheater’s vastness amplifying the weight of his words.
“Not completely. But at least I got some results out of it,” Aaron explained, shrugging slightly, the admission carrying a hint of frustration mingled with progress, his posture relaxing amid the open space.
“Hmm. Let’s see what you have learned,” Dracula offered, his tone evaluative, stepping forward with measured steps that echoed faintly on the stone.
“Tsk,” Aaron grumbled, knowing he was going to be at the receiving end soon.
Annoyance flickered across his features, a resigned sigh escaping him as he prepared mentally for the inevitable thrashing.
Thirty minutes after, Aaron lay sprawled on the ground, completely crushed by Dracula.
“The handicap I was given was flat out unfair. I could have defeated you if I was allowed to go all out,” Aaron said, trying to pick up what little pride he could retain.
His voice was hoarse, words laced with defiance, pushing himself up on elbows that trembled slightly.
“Well, do you plan to have an all-out battle with me? Or do you plan to master an ability?” Dracula questioned, standing over him unmoved, his expression stern yet instructive, arms crossed over his chest.
“The latter,” Aaron affirmed, rising to his feet, regaining all form of seriousness again.
Determination hardened his gaze, posture straightening as resolve flooded back.
“Good. Then stop whining,” Dracula commanded, his voice brooking no argument, a faint nod acknowledging Aaron’s shift in demeanor.
“So? What’s your take?” Aaron asked, wiping sweat from his brow, the sting of bruises a reminder of the session’s intensity.
“At least you are getting the basics right. But that’s far from what I want you to accomplish. But you should perfect this first before deciding to evolve into something more complex,” Dracula instructed, his words measured, gesturing subtly to emphasize the path forward.
“So what should I do?” Aaron asked, leaning forward slightly, eagerness creeping into his tone amid the lingering ache.
“You will return to the universe. And for your next five battles, use only the current ability you have learned. Increase your proficiency on it. Afterward, you can try to go for something more complex,” Dracula directed, his gaze steady, the amphitheater’s shadows deepening as if underscoring the gravity of the task.
“I see,” Aaron nodded his head, tearing a rift as he departed.
The portal hummed open with a resonant tear, the edges shimmering like fractured glass, pulling him through into the void beyond.
He arrived at the galaxy once more, searching for a good enough sentinel to attack.
The starry expanse unfolded around him, distant fleets twinkling like predatory eyes, his senses sharpening in the cold vacuum.
“System draw,” Aaron called out while at it, his voice steady, anticipation building in his chest as he floated amid the cosmic silence.
[Congratulations! You have awakened the special reward – Mystic eyes]
“Huh? A special reward. It’s with a different name,” Aaron was quick to notice the oddity, his brow furrowing, curiosity piquing amid the endless stars.
[That’s because it’s extremely special. It’s a reward that can evolve. And above all, special rewards are rewards that only you can possess. No one can ever have the special reward you have, except on account of your death]
