Chapter 328: UNKNOWN PAIN
Both clones stared upward where a lady from the insect race flew above them, her silhouette cutting through the night like a harbinger, wings buzzing faintly in the distance.

She had the abdomen of a bee, with wings of a bee, but the upper body of a human.

The striped exoskeleton gleamed under moonlight, her humanoid torso curvaceous yet armored, antennae twitching with subtle menace.

“Well, seems we caught the eye of the big fish of this galaxy,” the space clone laughed uneasily, rubbing his neck, the sound forced amid the growing tension.

“You had one job, but still decided to flop it,” Void cast an annoyed look at the space clone, his brow furrowing slightly, disappointment etching fine lines around his eyes.

“Hey. I tried my best. Even isolated the entire nebula. Apparently her special ability has something to do with piercing or something like that because the isolated space was shattered,” the space clone defended, gesturing vaguely, his expression a mix of frustration and defensiveness.

“It’s been a while since I have seen someone as bold as you all. To dare enter my galaxy unannounced and kill as you like. Really bold of you all,” the cherry voice of the bee queen and overlord of the galaxy rang out.

Her tone was sweet yet laced with venom, echoing across the empty streets like a deceptive melody.

“I do not need permission to do as I please,” Void replied arrogantly, not cowering despite the obvious aura and strength of the queen bee.

His stance remained relaxed, chin lifted defiantly, the night wind ruffling his coat.

“Hmm. Quite the bold one you are,” the queen bee said in amusement, flying toward the group.

Her wings hummed with a rhythmic buzz, descending gracefully, her compound eyes reflecting the group’s forms in multifaceted glints.

“You. I like you. Mate with me and birth strong offspring with me and your life will be spared,” the queen bee offered to Void, her voice turning sultry, antennae quivering as she hovered closer.

“And what if he refuses?” Michael asked out of plain curiosity, tilting his head, the question slipping out amid the surreal tension.

“Then you all die here,” she stated flatly, her wings flaring slightly, the air stirring with the implicit threat.

“For our sake, Void, please offer yourself to her,” Michael quickly pleaded, half-joking, his eyes wide with mock desperation.

“Wise choice,” the queen bee nodded her head in approval to Michael’s words, a pleased hum escaping her.

“Come on. Have some shame and look in the mirror. Do you really think you are worthy to mate with him?” Isobel didn’t hold back, her words sharp as her daggers, arms crossing defiantly.

“Right. Now we are fucked,” Michael muttered, not knowing if he should laugh or cry.

A nervous chuckle escaped him, the absurdity of the situation clashing with the mounting danger.

“How dare you talk to me like that!” the queen bee yelled in anger, her voice rising to a shrill buzz, wings vibrating furiously.

“Come forth, my children, and deal with these bastards!” she yelled, her words resonating to every part of the galaxy.

The command echoed outward, carried on invisible waves, summoning forth her horde.

From all around, several demi bees appeared, materializing from shadows and alleys, their hybrid forms grotesque yet formidable.

Some were half bees, half human, with striped torsos and buzzing wings; some half bees, half orc, bulky and armored with stingers protruding menacingly.

The demi bees were combinations of bees and several races, a swarm of chimeric horrors, their eyes glowing with hive-minded loyalty, the air filling with their collective hum.

“Alright, I’m forced and compelled to see you as a promiscuous woman. Or bee, rather,” Michael said in an irritated and disappointed manner.

His voice dripped with sarcasm, arms crossing tightly over his chest as he shook his head, the night air around them growing heavier with the weight of his judgment.

The difference in his countenance made the queen bee embarrassed.

Her compound eyes flickered uncertainly, the striped patterns on her abdomen shifting slightly as if in discomfort, a faint buzz emanating from her wings that betrayed her unease amid the starry backdrop.

“It’s not my fault! They all die after mating with me for some period of time,” she confessed, her cheeks flushed and red.

The admission hung in the air like a reluctant whisper, her humanoid hands twisting together, the flush spreading across her pale upper body like spilled ink under the dim lantern glow.

“So, in other words, you are a husband killer. I rather die honorably than die exhausted and completely consumed by some lady,” Void refused flatly, blood pouring from his very skin.

The crimson liquid seeped through his pores in slow rivulets, warm and metallic, pooling at his feet and staining the cobblestones with dark reflections of the surrounding lights.

“I will make sure you all suffer a painful death for disrespecting me,” the queen bee promised, her eyes bloodshot from anger.

Fury twisted her features, antennae quivering violently, the promise laced with a venomous hiss that echoed through the quiet streets, sending a chill rippling across the group’s skin.

The entire atmosphere was tense, battle threatening to break out at the slightest moment.

The air crackled with unspoken threats, shadows lengthening under the flickering lanterns, every breath held in anticipation of the first strike.

“Aarghhhh!” The scream of Void broke the tension, everyone staring at him in confusion.

The cry pierced the night like a shattered blade, his body convulsing suddenly amid the standoff.

Void fell to his knees, holding his eyes, screaming at the top of his voice.

Agony contorted his flawless features, hands pressing desperately against his sockets, knees grinding into the blood-slicked ground as waves of pain radiated through him.

“It hurts! It burns!” Void screamed, his actions surprising everyone.

Sweat beaded on his forehead, mixing with the blood trickling down his face, his voice raw and guttural, echoing off the nearby buildings in haunting waves.
