Chapter 319: COUNTER INVASION II
King dodged the palm slap with practical ease, scaling through the body of the titan like a seasoned mountain climber with unique abilities.

His movements were fluid, twisting mid-air to evade, the chain aiding his ascent with serpentine grace.

Throwing his chain, King wrapped it around the neck of the titan.

The links tightened with a constricting grip, embedding slightly into the thick hide.

The chains, which were a part of him and moved like serpentine creatures breathing and thinking, undulated with a life of their own, adjusting tension instinctively to maintain hold.

With the chains holding the neck of the titan, King catapulted himself to the face of the titan.

The launch propelled him upward in a blur, wind rushing past as he closed the distance.

“This is for being a prick!” King bellowed, spinning around his axis as he pointed his twin blades toward the eyes of the titan. His voice roared with vengeance, the rotation building momentum for the strike.

“Aarghhhh!!!!!!” the titan screamed in pain, losing his right eye.

Agony tore through him, blood spraying in thick arcs, the wound sizzling as if cauterized by the blades’ edge.

The titan lost his footing, tripping as it fell backward.

His massive body teetered, then collapsed with earth-shaking force, sending tremors through the castle grounds.

“The rest of you follow the instructions. Kelvin, show me some of your skills as well,” Ego commanded, running toward the titan general that exuded the strongest aura.

His pace quickened, eyes locked on the target, the air crackling with the promise of escalating battle.

“Do not let your guard down, the rest of you. I want every one of them killed as brutally as possible,” the general in charge of the galaxy defense commanded, increasing his size till he was in full titan form.

His voice boomed across the shattered plaza, echoing off the castle walls like rolling thunder, instilling a mix of fear and resolve in his fellow titans.

From his back, he drew his sword, a calm look on his face.

The massive blade slid free with a resonant scrape, its edge humming faintly in the charged air, the weight of it causing subtle tremors in the ground beneath him.

His sword was coated with destruction element, with its size several times over the size of Ego.

The corrosive energy swirled along the metal like liquid shadows, eating away at the surrounding atmosphere and leaving faint trails of acrid smoke that stung the nostrils.

“Hahahaha. I live for battles like this!” Ego shouted in excitement, going through partial werewolf transformation.

Laughter bubbled from his throat, raw and unrestrained, as the thrill coursed through his veins like wildfire, his body itching for the clash.

His muscles started bulging, even more fur appearing on his skin.

Veins popped along his arms and chest, the coarse hair sprouting in patches that rippled under the dual suns’ harsh glare, his frame expanding with a series of pops and cracks.

His claws grew sharper as he crashed with the general.

The tips gleamed like polished obsidian, extending with a visceral snap, and he lunged forward, the impact of their meeting sending shockwaves that cracked the stone underfoot.

The general swung his sword at Ego to cleave him in two like a seasoned swordsman that could cleave a housefly in two.

The blade whistled through the air, a deadly arc fueled by centuries of honed precision, the destruction element leaving a blurred trail of void in its wake.

“Don’t look down on me!” Ego screamed in defiance as well as euphoria.

His voice cracked with adrenaline-fueled glee, eyes wide and wild, the rush of combat making his heart pound like a war drum.

With his right claw, he deflected the large blade, much to the surprise of the general.

The clash rang out like clanging metal on anvil, sparks of conflicting energies flying in brilliant bursts, Ego’s arm trembling from the force but holding firm.

After deflecting the attack, Ego stretched, holding the blade with his claws.

His grip tightened, nails digging into the enchanted steel, the friction causing a high-pitched screech that grated on the ears.

Exerting his strength, he lifted himself onto the dull part of the blade.

Muscles strained under his furred skin, veins bulging as he pulled himself up, balancing precariously on the flat edge like a predator on a perch.

Using the blade as a platform, Ego went for the face of the titan general, trying to slash it.

He leaped forward with explosive power, claws extended, the wind whipping past him as he aimed for the vulnerable flesh.

The general, in an attempt to defend himself, swung his palm toward Ego to slap him off like a bug.

The massive hand cut through the air with a whoosh, fingers splayed wide, casting a shadow that engulfed Ego mid-flight.

As flexible as ever, Ego dodged the slap while still gliding toward the titan, his body passing through the hole between the fingers of the general held together.

He twisted like a serpent, contorting his form with unnatural agility, the near-miss brushing his fur and sending a thrill of danger through him.

Ego succeeded in the end, reaching the face of the general.

Triumph flashed in his eyes, the proximity amplifying the titan’s hot breath that reeked of ancient fury and metallic blood.

As brutal as he could get, Ego drove his claws into the skin of the titan general. The nails sank deep with a wet tear, blood welling up in thick rivulets that soaked his hands, the sensation warm and slick against his palms.

“You bloody pests!” the general swore in annoyance, slapping his cheek.

His palm connected with a resounding smack, the force rippling across his own flesh, but missing Ego by mere inches.

Ego, though, had long since left that particular area, going through the opening of the titan’s ears.

He darted inside with a blur of motion, the confined space echoing his mocking chuckle as he navigated the dark canal.
