Chapter 307: LOOMING BATTLE
The spikes pierced the chests of the titans with ruthless precision, their dark tips bursting through armored flesh like arrows from the void.

Black, glass-like shards erupted from the wounds, shattering hearts in an instant. The massive bodies convulsed briefly, eyes widening in shock, before going limp and drifting lifelessly amid the swirling rubble of the shattered planet, their oppressive auras fading into the cold vacuum.

The shadow beneath King’s feet split open like a ravenous maw, dark tendrils writhing upward.

A clone of Aaron, forged entirely from living night, rose from the darkness with eerie grace.

It seized King by the collar in a firm grip, yanking him downward into the abyss.

The void swallowed them both in the blink of an eye, the shadow sealing shut without a trace, leaving only faint ripples in the debris-filled space.

Reign and Chen Ye reacted in perfect synchrony, their forms blurring as they surged toward the vanishing point where the shadow and King had been.

The air crackled with their combined power, the floating rocks trembling under the force of their movement.

Reign tightened his massive hand, violet-black destruction coiling around his fist like living smoke.

He released a punch that detonated like a collapsing star, the impact erasing everything in its path.

The shadow spikes shattered into nothingness, the portal hole beneath the clone’s feet obliterated in a perfect sphere of annihilation that left a void where darkness had once thrived.

Chen Ye’s dragon-slit eyes glowed with a sudden burst of crimson light, unleashing a silent pulse that rolled outward like an invisible wave.

It stripped every strand of mana from the surrounding space, turning the area brittle and colorless, as if the universe itself had forgotten how to sustain magic.

The shadow clone stood stranded, its abilities severed, unable to draw on any ethereal force.

Reign arrived first, his enormous hand closing around the clone’s throat like iron clamps forged in fury.

He lifted it effortlessly, fingers digging into the shadowy flesh, threatening to snap the neck in two with a mere twist.

The encasing shadow peeled away from the clone like burnt skin flaking off, revealing the handsome face of Aaron beneath.

He smiled defiantly at Reign, his eyes gleaming with unyielding amusement despite the crushing grip.

“You bastard!” Reign growled in raw anger, his voice rumbling like thunder across the void.

He tightened his clutch around Aaron’s neck with greater force, veins bulging along his arm as destruction essence seeped into the hold.

“To hate me this much, what exactly did I do to you?” Aaron forced the words out, his voice strained but steady, defying the pain as the grip constricted his throat.

“You bastard. Don’t you dare forget the sin of killing my son,” Reign said coldly, his eyes burning with unquenchable rage. He barely held himself back, his fist trembling with the urge to crush the life from the clone then and there.

“Don’t know him. I have killed so many people to care about the death of some insignificant being. Care to jiggle my memory?” Aaron asked, his smile persisting through the agony, a spark of mockery in his tone that fueled Reign’s fury even more.

“No need to get rattled by him and just end his life already. That’s a clone and not the real deal,” Chen Ye informed Reign lazily, rolling his eyes at the titan’s indecisiveness.

“Oh? You are a cultivator too. Take some lessons from your brother and prepare for your own round of suffering,” Aaron said to Chen Ye, the smile etched firmly on his face, his words laced with defiant promise despite his precarious position.

“With that strength of yours, I doubt you can even destroy the hem of my dress. All I see is a large bag of arrogance that doesn’t know when he is defeated,” Chen Ye replied, not even slightly bothered by Aaron’s threat. He waved him off dismissively, as if swatting away an irritating insect in the vast emptiness.

“I will search every part of this galaxy and leave no place unturned to find you. And when I do, I will make sure you regret taking my son’s life and grant you the most excruciating pain ever,” Reign promised, his voice a low, venomous vow that echoed through the debris-strewn void.

With a savage twist, he crushed the head of the clone in the most violent way he knew, bone and shadow exploding in a spray of dark mist that dissipated into the cold space.

King, on the other hand, found himself adrift in a random stretch of space, floating aimlessly in the endless black.

The stars wheeled slowly around him, distant and indifferent, his limbless body tumbling gently amid the silence, blood trailing in frozen crimson beads.

Space bent suddenly, folding like fabric under an invisible hand.

Appearing in front of him was Aaron, his form materializing from the warp with calm assurance, the sanctuary’s rift shimmering faintly behind him before sealing shut.

“They did a lot on you,” Aaron commented, staring at King without limbs.

His voice carried a mix of concern and observation, his eyes scanning the wounds with clinical precision amid the starry backdrop.

“They sure did. Guess I won’t be able to enjoy life anymore without someone helping me out,” King muttered with a weak smile on his face, the pain evident in his strained tone despite his attempt at humor.

He floated there, vulnerable in the void, his body a testament to the brutality he had endured.

“What nonsense are you talking about? Let’s go get you fixed,” Aaron said, opening a rift leading to the sanctuary.

The portal glowed with warm, inviting light, a stark contrast to the cold emptiness around them, beckoning like a gateway to renewal.

Aaron and King arrived within the sanctuary, the rift closing behind them with a soft whisper.

The familiar energy of the realm enveloped them, stars twinkling overhead in the vast, protected expanse, a sense of home washing over the weary pair.
