Chapter 306: FORGED ALLIANCE
“He is dead. There is nothing you can do about it. But what you can do is make sure those around him suffer a thousand times over,” Chen Ye said, his voice smooth and persuasive as he tried to sweet-talk Reign into joining his intricate plan.

Reign kept quiet for a moment, his massive frame tense amid the floating rocks. Slowly, he nodded, agreeing to Chen Ye’s offer.

His anger simmered beneath the surface, but logic won out, his eyes narrowing as he weighed the alliance’s potential.

“Why do you want his family destroyed?” Reign asked, finally restraining his explosive anger.

“Because I want to establish a favorable relationship with you. And secondly, they have something that belongs to me,” Chen Ye replied calmly, stretching his hand toward Reign, who had miniaturized to twice his size. The gesture was deliberate, a symbol of partnership amid the cosmic wreckage.

Reign studied Chen Ye for several tense seconds, his gaze piercing like a blade. After a bit of internal deliberation, he accepted the handshake, his enormous hand engulfing Chen Ye’s in a firm grip that could crush worlds.

“Are you the overlord of this galaxy? Because I will need full access to bring my armies here in search of the allies of the bastard who killed my son,” Reign requested, his tone demanding yet pragmatic.

He released the handshake, crossing his arms over his broad chest, the remnants of the planet swirling lazily around them.

“I am. You are free to do as you wish. I will round up my allies as well,” Chen Ye nodded his head, a satisfied smile spreading across his face.

The void felt less empty with the alliance sealed, stars casting cold light on the floating debris.

He tilted his head slightly to look at King standing at a distance among the scattered rocks. The smile lingered on his face, carrying a hint of something darker, more calculated, as if savoring a hidden victory.

“Ha. Where are my manners? To have a blindfold on when talking to someone of your standing,” Chen Ye said to Reign, placing his hands on the ominous fabric covering his eyes.

His fingers moved with deliberate slowness, the gesture drawing all attention in the weightless expanse.

With casual and unhurried movement, he took off the blindfold. The fabric slipped away like a veil lifting from a storm, revealing eyes that sent a ripple through the group.

A cold chill spread toward everyone present, like the caressing touch of destruction itself. It prickled the skin, raising hairs and stirring primal instincts, the void growing even colder amid the planet’s ruins.

Chen Ye’s eyes glowed with the violent red of pure destruction, the irises slit like those of a dragon. They pulsed with raw power, drawing in light and exuding an aura that warped the surrounding space faintly, debris trembling in response.

Reign raised his guard immediately, his muscles tensing like coiled springs.

He felt genuinely threatened by the imposing aura emanating from Chen Ye, a force that rivaled his own destructive might, the stars seeming dimmer in its presence.

“And also to solidify our partnership, I have another gift for you,” Chen Ye smiled at Reign in a diplomatic manner.

His expression was polite yet laced with underlying menace, the red glow of his eyes casting eerie reflections on the floating rocks around them.

King’s senses tingled sharply, a primal warning screaming through his body to flee as quickly as possible.

The chill from Chen Ye’s eyes intensified the dread, debris drifting lazily in the background like silent omens.

King activated his bloodline the next instant, flames of hell erupting around him in a blazing inferno. The fire danced wildly, casting flickering lights across the void, his twin blades coming alive in his hands, burning fiercely with flames that scorched the soul itself.

He threw his twin blades toward Chen Ye with explosive force, the weapons spinning through the vacuum like comets trailing soul-searing fire.

At the same time, he attempted to open a rift to the sanctuary, space warping around him in a desperate bid for escape.

“What’s got you all rattled up, King? That’s quite unlike you,” Chen Ye whispered into the ear of King, his hand suddenly holding King’s neck firmly. The whisper was intimate and chilling, sending shivers down King’s spine amid the cosmic cold.

King felt a sharp, agonizing sensation rip through him. Staring down at his hands in horror, he realized his two arms were gone, severed cleanly. The stumps refused to heal despite his immortality, pain radiating like fire through his nerves.

“What is going on? You can’t even control your own men?” Reign asked Chen Ye with irritation evident on his face. He floated amid the debris, his massive form casting long shadows, arms crossed in growing impatience.

“He is not one of mine. Actually, he is the present I have for you. One of the allies of the man you are looking for. And the truth is, the man you want is still very much alive,” Chen Ye answered, his grip tightening on King’s neck.

His dragon-slit eyes glowed brighter, the red hue reflecting off the scattered planet fragments like blood on shattered glass.

“You knew all this while,” King muttered, realization dawning as he dangled helplessly.

His voice was strained, the void around them feeling even more isolating, stars indifferent to his plight.

“Of course. Lying to me is a waste of time,” Chen Ye answered King, his tone casual yet laced with triumph. He loosened his grip slightly, allowing King to gasp for air amid the weightless expanse.

“You won’t be having any limbs till you die, so hope you get used to the feeling,” Chen Ye said to King, a sinister but handsome smile spreading across his face.

He released his hold completely, stepping back as if presenting a trophy amid the drifting rocks.

The moment the titans under Reign moved to seize King, their massive hands reaching out like closing vices, a shadow leaped suddenly from King’s own shadow.

It erupted outward, dark and writhing, releasing a wave of shadowy spikes in all directions that pierced the void like needles of night.

The spikes expanded rapidly, their tips gleaming with lethal intent, forcing the titans to recoil amid the chaos of the destroyed planet’s remnants.
