Chapter 304: 305: THE DESTRUCTION TITANS
[Please read the chapter next chapter before this chapter. Made a mistake and published chapter 305 ahead of 304.]

Chen Ye nodded his head with a smile spreading across his face. He rose from his seat smoothly, his robe settling around him like a dark cascade, and followed Qin Luo without a word, his steps measured and confident on the polished stone.

Curious about the development, King tagged along, his footsteps echoing faintly behind them.

Chen Wo joined as well, his expression calm and unreadable. He moved with quiet grace, his teacup left behind on the table, steam still rising in thin wisps that dissipated into the air.

At the grand hall of the castle where Chen Ye resided, a towering titan with dark, rugged skin stood waiting patiently. His oppressive aura of destruction filled the space like a heavy fog, making the servants attending him move with hurried, nervous efficiency. Their hands trembled slightly as they offered trays of refreshments, the clink of porcelain echoing in the vast, echoing hall adorned with intricate tapestries and glowing crystals.

“Welcome. Forgive me for taking too long,” Chen Ye apologized, a bright smile illuminating his features as he entered the hall.

The titan of the destruction clan nodded his head curtly, his massive frame shifting slightly as he followed Chen Ye deeper into the hall for a more comfortable discussion. His footsteps thudded heavily on the floor, sending faint vibrations through the stone, the aura around him making the air feel thick and charged with latent power.

“So? Are you sure of what you are saying?” the destruction titan asked, his voice deep and rumbling like distant thunder. He settled into a large, reinforced chair that creaked under his weight, his dark skin gleaming faintly in the hall’s ambient light.

He was one of the elders of the destruction clan, specially sent by Reign to confirm the information after receiving reports about the one who had killed his son. His mission weighed heavily on him, evident in the tense set of his broad shoulders.

“I’m positive. The man you all are searching for has been spotted within this galaxy,” Chen Ye nodded his head confidently, his smile unwavering. He took a seat opposite the titan, leaning forward slightly, the blindfold adding an enigmatic layer to his assurance.

He had been fortunate to encounter a destruction titan who had entered their galaxy in search of a man matching the description his brother had provided. The image had burned into his memory, fueling his schemes.

To be sure, he had specially tasked Qin Luo with confirming the similarities between the one they had fought and the image the titan carried. Her report had been precise, sealing his decision.

With the match confirmed, he had reached out to Reign, proposing an alliance to wipe out the rest of Aaron’s group. The plan unfolded in his mind like a carefully woven web.

He intended to use someone else’s knife to slaughter the pig, leveraging external forces to achieve his goals without expending his own resources unnecessarily.

“What information do you have about the man?” the destruction titan asked, his eyes narrowing like slits in obsidian, leaning forward with an intensity that made the servants edge away cautiously.

“That he is dead,” Chen Ye answered bluntly, his voice steady amid the grand hall’s echoing vastness. The crystals overhead twinkled faintly, casting prismatic lights across the marble floors.

“Are you trying to mess with me? I suggest you don’t play around over this if you don’t want to be destroyed,” the titan warned, his voice dropping to a menacing growl. He stared coldly at Chen Ye, his dark skin taut over bulging muscles, eyes filled with contempt and annoyance, like a predator looking down on insignificant prey.

The face of Chen Ye contorted slowly upon hearing the titan’s words, a flicker of irritation crossing his features.

“Watch your tone to me if you want to keep your life,” Chen Ye warned, his voice low and laced with lethal promise.

He slowly released the pressure of his rank, letting it seep out like a controlled flood, filling the hall with an overwhelming weight that pressed against everything.

The destruction titan stared at Chen Ye with shock widening his eyes, followed by a growing fear that chilled his spine.

“You… you are in the galactic rank?” the destruction titan asked in surprise, his voice faltering slightly. He leaned back in his chair, the reinforced wood creaking under the shift.

He was all too familiar with the aura Chen Ye exuded; after all, their overlord possessed that same overwhelming presence, a force that commanded respect and instilled terror.

“Now that you know your place, let’s have a proper conversation. Like I was saying, the man you want is dead. Killed by an ally of mine. But his friends and likely his family remain,” Chen Ye continued, his tone regaining its composed edge. He leaned back in his seat, the smile returning faintly to his lips.

“For whatever reason you need him, you can get back at his loved ones. That’s my offer. I will provide my maximum support, and those under me. Relay that information to your King,” Chen Ye instructed, his words clear and authoritative. The grand hall’s crystals cast shimmering reflections on the marble, highlighting the tension that still lingered.

The destruction titan nodded his head curtly, rising to his feet with a low rumble. He took his leave without further word, his massive frame casting long shadows as he exited the hall, the servants parting like waves before him.

“Who is he? And what’s this plan you are cooking?” King asked, his voice laced with frustration at being left in the dark. He stepped closer, his cloak rustling softly, not loving the exclusion on such a serious deal.

Especially when it involved matters of this magnitude, the grand hall’s echoing vastness amplifying his impatience.

“You will find out,” Chen Ye replied cryptically, keeping the details tightly to himself. His smile faded into a neutral expression, the blindfold concealing any hint of his thoughts.

Chen Wo refrained from saying anything, knowing his brother all too well. His secretive nature was as unyielding as stone. He remained seated, his posture calm amid the lingering aura of destruction that still hung in the air.

A few days finally passed, and once more, Chen Ye received another set of guests. The castle’s grand hall buzzed with subdued activity, servants moving with hurried efficiency to prepare.

Except this time, the guests included a much more important being among them, Reign himself. His presence filled the hall like a storm cloud, his aura commanding immediate respect and fear from all present.

“Welcome. Seeing you, I believe you have accepted my offer,” Chen Ye asked with a smile curving his lips. He bowed slightly in greeting, the blindfold adding to his enigmatic allure amid the hall’s opulent decorations.

“Who killed the man? Who dared take the bastard’s life in my stead?” Reign asked, anger blazing clearly in his eyes like twin infernos. His voice thundered, echoing off the marble walls, his massive frame tense with barely contained rage.

“I don’t believe that’s necessary right now. You can still deal with his friends to calm your nerves,” Chen Ye offered smoothly, his tone placating yet firm. He gestured to a nearby seat, attempting to diffuse the escalating tension.

“I said, who killed the bastard!” Reign demanded one more time, his temper fracturing like brittle stone. He released his aura uncontrolled, a wave of destructive force surging outward like a tidal wave.

Boom!

The entire planet they were all residing on crumbled under the crushing weight of Reign’s full pressure. Cracks spiderwebbed across the surface, buildings collapsing in cascades of dust and debris, the ground heaving like a living entity in agony.

They were all forced into the vacuum of space amid swirling clouds of destroyed planet rocks. Fragments floated around them like silent sentinels, the void cold and unforgiving, stars twinkling indifferently in the distance.

Those residing on the planet with lesser ranks perished instantly from the cataclysmic destruction, their screams lost in the roar of crumbling earth, lives snuffed out in a blink.

Chen Ye stared at the scattered planet bits with frustration and anger flashing across his face, though he concealed it swiftly afterward. His robe billowed in the weightless void, his blindfold unmoving amid the chaos.

After all, he needed Reign’s mighty army to locate and conquer Aaron’s friends. The alliance was crucial, a necessary evil to achieve his ambitions.

Especially the destruction titans, a rare race uniquely equipped to combat immortality, their abilities a perfect counter to the undying foes he anticipated.

“You need to calm down, or you might as well just return back to where you are coming from,” Chen Ye called out to Reign’s unchecked temper. His voice cut through the void, steady and unyielding, floating amid the debris like a beacon of control.

Reign took several minutes to rein in his rage, his massive chest heaving with deep breaths. He decided Chen Ye was right, the logic piercing through his fury like a shaft of light, his aura receding gradually as the stars watched on in silent vigil.
