Chapter 300: THE ABNORMAL OUTCOME I
“That’s quite the anticlimactic way to end a spar, Great Grandpa,” Aaron muttered with a brooding expression, his skeletal features twisting in disappointment.
It mirrored the sentiment of every spectator who had been on the edge of their seats, the abrupt conclusion leaving a void where excitement had built to a crescendo.
Getting over the letdown, Aaron snapped his fingers with a resonant click, the sound echoing through the vast space.
He sent everyone back to their respective planets and the activities they had been occupied with before receiving the invitations, the teleportation seamless and instantaneous.
That was after delivering some formal speeches, his voice projecting across the amphitheater with commanding clarity.
He thanked the crowd for their attendance, praised the sanctuary’s unity, and promised future spectacles, his words inspiring a final wave of applause before the masses vanished in shimmering lights.
Afterward, only Aaron and Dracula remained within the amphitheater, the cosmic-scale structure now exuding a lonely and mysterious vibe with just the two of them present.
The empty stands stretched endlessly, shadows pooling in the tiers, the silence profound and almost tangible under the starry canopy.
“What do you think of the feat you achieved by creating a continuum?” Dracula asked Aaron, studying his face intently.
His crimson eyes bored into Aaron’s skeletal visage, searching for nuances in his reaction, the question laced with underlying curiosity about the implications.
“That it’s mind-blowing and awesome,” Aaron answered casually, his hollow voice echoing slightly in the vast emptiness.
He shrugged his bony shoulders, the gesture relaxed despite the weighty topic, the crown atop his head shifting faintly with the motion.
“It’s not just mind-blowing. It’s an impossible, one-of-a-kind feat that only the rarest of the rare can accomplish. I don’t know how you did it, but you achieved something abnormal for someone of your rank,” Dracula elaborated, his tone shifting to one of grave seriousness. He paced slowly, his robe whispering against the earthen floor, the amphitheater’s isolation amplifying each word.
“Like I said about the paradox rank. The first step is creating your own essence. Your essence is like a spark that begins a new cosmic phenomenon,” Dracula continued, his voice steady and instructive.
He gestured subtly, as if illustrating the birth of stars with his hands, the air around him seeming to thicken with the weight of ancient knowledge.
“The essence you create starts a big bang. And from it, you birth a world. That’s the next step of increasing your rank in the paradox rank. Slowly, you enhance your strength by expanding the cosmic entity you have birthed. From just a small planet, you grow it to a solar system, a galaxy, and so forth.”
“But you, Aaron, have done that even before reaching that rank. It begs the question of what benefits your abnormal actions present to you,” Dracula explained, his eyes locking onto Aaron’s with piercing intensity.
“Woah, system. You never made mention of this to me,” Aaron asked the system mentally, refraining from voicing anything aloud to Dracula.
[You should know that your existence is abnormal in the first place. Only Primordial beings are privy to Primordial talents after using and pushing their talents to the extreme, but you have more than one Primordial talent.]
“How does that even affect anything we are talking about?” Aaron questioned inwardly, his confusion evident even in thought. He glanced at Dracula, the ancient vampire waiting patiently, the lonely amphitheater’s mysterious ambiance enhancing the weight of their conversation, stars twinkling overhead like silent observers to their exchange.
[It does in countless ways. Since the Primordials are already in the Primordial rank, and have likely formed their multiverse, they will only need their Primordial talent in the end to consolidate the multiverse they have created.]
[But you broke the norm. Already having a Primordial talent even before you gained the Primordial talent. It allowed you to create a multiverse even before you are able to begin.]
“I see,” Aaron thought, an understanding look appearing on his face amid the suspension between him and Dracula. The ancient vampire stood nearby, his crimson eyes watchful, the dark robe draped over him like a shroud of eternal night.
“It’s like having the prize before beginning the run, unlike others that have to run to get the prize.”
The analogy settled in Aaron’s mind, bringing a spark of clarity.
He glanced at Dracula, whose expression remained impassive, the subtle pressure of his presence filling the empty space around them.
“But there’s a question. What’s the benefit of my actions?” Aaron asked the system, while also directing the question to Dracula by voicing it openly.
“I don’t know. I only got a little understanding of what was expected of me and how to improve my rank after reaching the paradox rank. But for the rest, I know nothing about it,” Dracula explained.
“I see,” Aaron nodded his head, the motion causing the runes on his arms to flicker with subtle colors. He waited patiently for the system’s answers, his bony fingers tapping lightly against his side.
[You are already enjoying the benefits. Combining the multiverse of the time and space together is one of the benefits of your actions. Only those that have Primordial talent even before becoming Primordial can do that.]
“I’m not following,” Aaron said to the system, forcing it to throw more light on what it meant. His thoughts raced, probing for clarity amid the vast silence.
[Building your multiverse after attaining Primordial rank prevents you from merging two Primordial multiverse together like you just did. Those that have more than one Primordial talents can only use one as the main multiverse and the others as subsidiary multiverse. But yours is different. You can merge your Primordial multiverse together as a result of the abnormality of your actions.]
“What difference does it make?”
[A lot. Having a main and subsidiary universe can’t have the same power as combined multiverse. In order words, only you can create a continuum that is constantly growing. In the end, the multiverse they create cease from growing, but your continuum won’t. I will advice you to keep merging your continuum with the multiverse of the other Primordial talents you have. It will be very beneficial to you.]
