Chapter 299: SPAR AGAINST DRACULA VIII
The night blood loomed closer, its dark mass casting long shadows over him, a prelude to a victory that seemed eerily imminent.

It was one of those rare times where Aaron possessed the qualitative abilities and talents to potentially win, just as he had against Loki and his partners, but found himself unable due to the sheer disparity in rank.

The gap felt like an insurmountable chasm, experience and essence outweighing raw potential.

The night blood drew perilously close to Aaron, its tendrils reaching out like grasping fingers.

The air grew thick with its presence, the scent of ancient power mingling with the metallic tang of blood, victory hanging by a thread.

“There’s another way,” Aaron muttered under his breath, his words causing the entire amphitheater to hold their breaths in collective suspense.

The spectators leaned forward, curiosity etched on countless faces, eager to witness what unforeseen path Aaron could conjure in this dire moment.

Aaron took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling steadily as he reached out to his continuum.

With focused intent, he created a bridge between the sanctuary and the continuum, the connection forming like an invisible thread weaving through the fabric of reality.

The air around him shimmered faintly, a subtle ripple that hinted at the immense power being channeled.

[What do you think you are doing? It hasn’t been long since you last connected a bridge to your continuum.]

“That’s different. This is a connection to the sanctuary where I have omnipotent powers, unlike the universe. I can support the connection easily and stabilize the continuum,” Aaron explained, his voice calm and assured.

He felt more relaxed in forging this bridge than when he usually did it in the broader universe, the sanctuary’s boundless energy providing a sturdy foundation that eased the strain.

No visible strain marred his face; he accomplished it with practical ease, his features composed and untroubled.

The bridge solidified smoothly, a testament to his growing mastery over such profound feats, the continuum’s essence flowing in a controlled stream that bolstered his presence in the arena.

[That’s cheating though. You are leveraging your omnipotent abilities to get the job done.]

“Cut me some slack, will you? He is using some paradox-level strength. It’s only fair I get to use Norton. Plus, we are both supposed to fight at our peak. Using Norton is part of me fighting at my peak,” Aaron defended himself, his tone light but firm.

He glanced at Dracula, the ancient vampire’s form still radiating an aura of unyielding power, the night blood essence hovering like a dark storm cloud above them.

With the continuum now bridged, Norton seeped into the arena like a living shadow, its essence permeating the space with an otherworldly chill.

The air grew denser, infused with the primordial night that twisted light and reality, providing Aaron with an edge that felt both familiar and invigorating.

“Hmm?” Dracula exclaimed curiously, his sharp senses picking up the new essence lingering in the air.

He tilted his head slightly, his crimson eyes narrowing as he analyzed the subtle shift, the sanctuary’s vast expanse seeming to dim under Norton’s influence.

He had already broken free from the rock holding him in place, his essence devouring and isolating the mana that powered Aaron’s Primordial Terra ability.

The stone crumbled away like dust, fragments scattering across the earthen platform, leaving Dracula standing tall and unhindered once more.

“Are you also in the paradox rank? No, it doesn’t seem like that. The essence feels like a part of you, but at the same time, it’s not coming from you. Almost as if it’s coming from another space entirely,” Dracula analyzed the origin of Norton, his voice steady and probing. He circled slowly, his robe flowing like liquid night, his gaze dissecting the invisible currents with the precision of a master strategist.

“Spot on, Great Grandpa. It’s not like your essence that personally belongs to you. But it’s the essence from a continuum I created,” Aaron explained, his skeletal form standing firm amid the swirling energies.

He extended a bony hand, feeling Norton’s power course through him like a cool, invigorating river, enhancing his every sense and ability.

“A continuum? What do you mean a continuum?” Dracula asked, his tone laced with genuine intrigue.

The word hung between them, heavy with implications, as the amphitheater’s vast stands loomed empty in the background, their silence amplifying the conversation’s weight.

“Exactly what you think. An ever-growing multiverse with ever-growing timelines,” Aaron responded briefly, his voice echoing slightly in the cosmic expanse.

He watched Dracula’s reaction closely, the ancient vampire’s features tightening as the revelation sank in, the stars above twinkling like distant witnesses to their exchange.

A serious look appeared on Dracula’s face, his brow furrowing deeply as he processed the profound meaning behind Aaron’s words.

The implications rippled through his mind like waves in a still pond, stirring memories of long-forgotten ambitions and the boundaries of power he had once pushed against.

“I genuinely wished you were my direct son. Your talent is the monstrous kind of talent I had wished for my own children to possess,” Dracula said, shaking his head slowly.

His voice carried a rare note of regret, his crimson eyes reflecting a mix of admiration and longing, the weight of lost opportunities evident in his posture.

“What’s gotten into you, old man?” Aaron asked, his hollow voice tinged with surprise. He tilted his skeletal head, the crown of souls and bones atop it shifting slightly, casting eerie shadows across his form under the arena’s dim lights.

“Let’s end the spar here. The two of us have much to discuss,” Dracula informed Aaron, the intense pressure he had exuded vanishing like mist dispersing at dawn.

The night blood essence receded, the sky clearing as if a storm had passed, leaving the arena bathed in serene starlight once more.

Dracula straightened his cloak with deliberate motions, the fabric settling smoothly over his frame.

He gave up on the fight, his stance relaxing into one of quiet contemplation, the battle’s fervor giving way to a deeper purpose.
