Chapter 241: Luxury Hotel
Vanessa stood up from her desk with a small stretch, the bones in her back cracking lightly, and then she released a long, weary yawn.

Her eyes burned from the hours of paperwork she had been drowning under.

Even with her A-rank stamina, the sheer amount of administrative nonsense that came with running Grimmaw Guild after a multi-city series of dungeon raids was enough to kill even an S-rank twice over.

“I feel so tired…” she muttered, dropping her pen for the tenth time tonight.

The worst part was that she still wasn’t done.

She had processed maybe seventy percent of everything, but the rest still sat there like a small, malicious mountain of numbered documents waiting to ruin her evening.

She rubbed her eyes.

“I’ll have to hold a meeting with everyone tomorrow… see how each squad handled their part of the raid. And I wonder what’s going to happen to Supreme Man.”

Her lips twisted.

About four hours ago, the official Council media page posted the update:

Supreme Man had been forcibly admitted into The Tranquility Tier Rehabilitation Dome.

Vanessa had needed to reread it three times.

The TTRD was infamous, even though the public called it a “rehabilitation dome,” it was, in practical terms, a psychiatric correctional facility specifically designed for Awakened who had mental instability severe enough to endanger cities.

Only the most delusional, explosive, or downright brain-broken Awakened were ever sent there, and only after the Council determined they couldn’t function in society.

‘He should stay there a year or two, then maybe people will forget…’

She exhaled as she shut her binder and walked to the elevator. Her steps were slow.

As the doors slid shut, she leaned her head against the back wall and closed her eyes.

‘I wonder who will take over the Supreme Guild…’

There were several candidates, of course. But if she had to pick a name?

Lucius.

He could handle them. He could handle anyone. But the thought sent a pang across her chest… he was brilliant, strong, overwhelming, but the way he was with people… especially the way he had teased them after getting control over them,

She clenched a fist.

‘That evil man…’

The elevator chimed, and she stepped out onto the ground floor.

‘I need a vacation. Somewhere like… New Avalon City.’

A real vacation in a coastal city with a skyline of crystal towers, clean streets and fancy restaurants, salt air and peace where there were no raids and no paperwork too.

It sounded like paradise.

She waved to some of the lower-ranked members as she passed and offered Miss Brown, the receptionist, a tired nod. With each step her exhaustion seeped deeper.

As she pushed open the front doors…

‘That meanie… he came over to pick Luna up himself but he can’t even do that with me.’

Her eyebrow twitched and then her ass throbbbed… even now, Vanessa still had the damn anal plug Lucius had stuffed into her days ago and she was supposed to ask his permission today to remove it.

She sighed.

‘I can’t lie… I’ve gotten used to the feeling of it… ugh.’

Just as she stepped outside to call a cab, rain began to pour… a heavy downpour like the sky suddenly snapped.

Vanessa flinched and raised her hands over her head, trying to protect her hair, but then… A fabric hood fell over her head.

Her breath hitched.

Lucius stood beside her, drenched by the rain, wearing all black clothes that clung to his body, his hair soaked and falling over his forehead.

“Lucius…?” she whispered as he casually pulled the oversized hoodie over her completely.

“How long have you been here?” she asked. The rain slid down his jawline, dripping from his chin.

“The past two hours,” he replied without hesitation.

Her heart nearly stopped.

He took her hand gently… too gently for someone who could casually rip apart dragons and led her toward the Tempest.

He opened the passenger door for her like some kind of gentleman from an old romance novel.

“You really take a lot of time to work…” he muttered.

Vanessa sank into the seat, her face burning.

‘What the hell…? When did Lucius get this assertive as a lover?’

She didn’t dislike it. She absolutely did not dislike it. But it was new and very strange.

“I’m sorry for delaying you,” she murmured.

“Don’t apologize for doing your job.” He patted her head softly, and she practically melted into the seat.

He started the engine.

“We’re going on a trip to New Avalon next week.” he said casually.

Her eyes widened.

He… read her mind?

“O-okay…” she whispered, hands tightening on her hoodie. She barely had time to ask anything before they pulled away from the Guild.

But instead of heading toward the mansion… they drove in the opposite direction.

“Lucius, the mansion is—”

“I know,” he interrupted. “I made reservations at a hotel. You can warm up there.”

Her blush exploded into full bloom.

A hotel… with Lucius?

She had attended meetings in hotels before, always in business mode. But with him? With him?

It was clear that he wanted privacy.

She sat stiffly in her seat, her heart pounding out of her chest as her legs pressing together from the heat pooling in her stomach.

Lucius drove calmly with one hand on the wheel and the other occasionally brushing against her thigh gently whenever he changed gears.

She wanted to faint.

They soon pulled into a luxurious driveway, rain reflecting the golden lights of an expensive hotel façade. Vanessa leaned toward the window and her jaw dropped.

“Ehh?! This hotel is like… 100,000 royals per night for the best rooms! It’s very cost!”

Lucius just stepped out of the car and walked around to open her door again. Rain cascaded off his hair, making him look even more handsome.

He gave the valet the key wordlessly and said.

“I paid extra for the utmost safety for the Tempest too.”

Vanessa puffed her cheeks.

“You’re burning through a lot of money right now…”

“Only for important things.” He placed a hand on her waist and guided her inside.

She didn’t know where to look. The lobby was breathtaking with marble floors with blue designs, crystal chandeliers floating in controlled gravity fields, velvet furniture, and enchanted glass art that subtly shifted colors as people passed by.

The receptionist straightened instantly.

“Sir, your reservations?”

Lucius tapped his phone and showed a virtual confirmation. She instantly handed him a gold keycard.

“Room 468. Top-tier luxury suite.”

The elevator ride was silent except for the sound of Vanessa’s racing heart.

She clung to Lucius’ arm instinctively with her head resting lightly against his shoulder. His cologne mixed with the scent of rainwater, and she inhaled deeply.

Once they reached the top floor, Lucius opened the door to their suite and Vanessa’s breath caught.

The room was massive… it had soft lighting, a king-sized bed draped with black velvet sheets, and an entire wall made of enchanted glass overlooking Northcrest’s glimmering nightscape.

“Well,” Lucius said as he walked toward the bed, the water still dripping off him, “why don’t we take a bath together?”

Vanessa’s knees almost buckled but she caught herself.

“Sure…” Vanessa whispered as she stepped fully inside the suite, closing the door gently behind her.

The soft click echoed in the spacious room, and for a moment she simply stood there.

She wasn’t afraid of showing him her body.

Lucius had already seen every inch of her on several occasions.

But somehow… in a place like this, under the warm lights and in a damn hotel room… she felt shy.

Slowly, deliberately, she began removing her clothes piece by piece.

Her coat slid off first, then her top, falling in silent heaps onto the plush carpet.

Lucius watched her while drawing his trousers down his legs, leaving only his dark shorts on. Even unaroused, the shape pushing against the fabric made her throat bob.

He draped a towel over his shoulder, his eyes sweeping over her flushed skin.

“You’re sweaty,” Lucius noted casually. “Get into the bath quickly.”

He walked past her, opened the bath door, and a cloud of warm steam rolled outward, enveloping them both. Vanessa hugged her arms around herself instinctively.

“Oh…” Lucius added with the faintest amused smirk. “I forgot to say. The bath here is modeled after a private hot spring.”

He slipped inside and closed the door behind him.

Vanessa stared at the door for a moment, exhaling shakily.

Slowly, almost ceremonially, she unclipped her bra, feeling the cool air brush her bare skin.

Her panties slid down her legs next. She tossed both pieces onto the bed. Even without him touching her, her body was already reacting.

‘Fine.’

She took a deep breath and then grabbed a fluffy towel from the stand.

When she opened the bath door, a wave of steam hit her full in the face, instantly warming her chilled skin.

The light mist clung to her eyelashes, making the world blur softly at the edges.

“Oh? You’re finally here?” Lucius’s voice drifted through the haze.

The bath really was like a small hot spring with smooth stone edges, and warm water bubbling as enchanted lights reflected off the steam to create a soft golden glow.

Lucius reclined against the far wall while he chilled in the water.

“Come on in,” he said. “Close the door so the warmth stays.”

She nudged the door shut with her heel and stepped forward, feeling the steam curl around her like a silken embrace.

The moment her feet touched the water’s edge, she shivered. Vanessa lowered herself into the pool with her towel still on her body, letting the water seep in.

The heat seeped through her muscles, loosening every knot she hadn’t even known she had.

She barely had time to settle before space warped around her.

Her breath hitched as she reappeared… right between Lucius’s spread legs.

He rested a warm, steady hand on her head and pulled her gently against his chest.

“It feels nice to hold you,” he murmured.

Vanessa’s heart drummed against her ribs. She didn’t trust her voice, so she simply let herself lean back, soaking in the feeling of him…

Minutes passed like that without any more words and then, slowly, Lucius’s hand slid from her head… down to her waist.

Before Vanessa could react… he shifted, rolling her gently forward onto her hands making the water ripple around them.

She gasped as heat flushed up her neck in a rush she couldn’t control.

“Lucius…?” she whispered.

“You said you wanted to kidnap me, right?” he murmured behind her, leaning close enough that his breath tickled the back of her ear. “Looks like I kidnapped you first.”

His right hand grabbed onto the tail of the Anal plug and her legs shook in anticipation. Without hesitating, he pulled it out completely.

“Ahn~!”
