Chapter 174: Check Out
Lucius already had a suspicion, he knew Vanessa wasn’t the type to go full pervert on her own.
So he was most certainly sure about it now…
‘Is this the room we’ll be having sex in now?’ he wondered, still remembering the neatly arranged toys… they were quite the collection honestly and he was surprised Vanessa even knew them at all.
‘Well, whatever. I’ll ask when she arrives.’
“Lucius, were those what I think they are?” Luna asked with her face still glowing red.
“I’m sure Emilia coerced Vanessa into buying them,” Lucius replied with a shrug. “Come on… let’s check the other rooms.”
Luna nodded, then glanced back down the hallway.
Alexia still hadn’t emerged from the restroom.
‘She’s taking her sweet time in there… perverted woman,’ Luna thought.
She wasn’t sure how she felt about someone like that hanging around Lucius all day as his personal secretary.
For all she knew, she could randomly try to force herself on him… Even though it wouldn’t work.
Then again, the Council hired her, so it wasn’t like Luna had any say in who would be his personal secretary.
They moved to the door directly opposite Emilia’s and pushed it open.
Both of them stopped dead.
The room was THE future… it had sleek white walls traced with soft blue light strips that glowed in a blue light.
A massive circular bed sat dead center, somehow floating a few inches above the floor.
Holographic panels hovered beside a long workbench absolutely buried in drone parts, half-assembled frames, and a glossy black toolbox.
Luna’s fingers twitched at her sides.
“You can go in…” Lucius sighed. “It’s your room, after all.”
Luna didn’t need telling twice. She stepped over the threshold, and the automatic air conditioner kicked on with a soft hiss, dropping the temperature to a crisp perfect chill.
She beelined for the workbench, running her hands over the tools like she was greeting old friends. Even though she had literally been holding some tools in the basement, he was sure of it.
“What a perverted way of holding tools…” Lucius teased from the doorway.
Luna let out a hmph.
“You wouldn’t understand since you don’t know your way around a workshop.” She set down the screwdriver with a satisfied little moan-sigh. “This place is just as precious as the basement… I feel like I’m being spoiled like a house cat.”
She turned to leave, then spotted the bed.
Her eyes lit up.
Without warning, she launched herself onto it, bouncing once on her back with her arms spread wide.
“The bed is bouncy and soft too…” Luna exhaled, sinking into the mattress like it was swallowing her whole. “I could literally let this place take my soul.”
“Oi, stop lazing around,” Lucius called. “We’ve got more rooms to look through.”
Luna groaned dramatically but rolled off. The moment her feet hit the floor, the AC shut off and the door slid closed behind her automatically.
They moved to the next room.
Lucius knew instantly whose it was: Elara’s.
It was a very simple room.
It had a modest writing desk by the window, stacked with blank journals and fountain pens.
A bed the same size as Luna’s, dressed in crisp white linen. A large screen mounted opposite, remote already on the nightstand.
There was nothing flashy there.
Except the walls.
They were lined with the same shimmering Manafiber as the front gates… it didn’t look that visible but Lucius could feel it.
‘I wonder… did Vanessa tell the Council about Elara’s little destruction hobby?’ Lucius thought. He doubted it, but the reinforcement made sense if they knew.
“Well, whatever,” he muttered. “Let’s just check the others.”
Luna didn’t answer.
“Luna?”
He turned. She had wandered inside without him noticing. The moment she crossed the threshold, the wall flared bright blue.
A cold wave rolled through the room. The lights dimmed, then died completely. Temperature plummeted. Frost crawled across the floorboards in seconds, crackling like thin ice.
[Recognized: Luna. Entry 4]
And then it all stopped…
Luna’s breath came out in a white puff. “Did… did this place just try to kill me?”
…
“Hmph~” Alexia grumbled as she finally stumbled through the restroom doorway with her legs still trembling badly.
‘Take deep breaths.’ She told herself as she sucked in a very deep breath.
The invisible fingers had vanished the moment she stepped out, leaving her pussy clenching around nothing.
It had satisfied her, yes, but it was only enough to make her crave the real thing even more.
She needed her Boss’s full length… Badly.
Luna gave her a long suspicious look the second she entered. It was like a police officer staring right through a criminal…
Alexia’s whole body stiffened.
‘Does she know Lucius was fingering me with space magic?’ she thought, biting her lip hard enough to hurt.
‘No way. Luna couldn’t possibly. But just to be safe…’
She was not taking any chances, sure she wasn’t careful the last seconds before entering the restroom… but it wasn’t like Luna could get her fired or anything, but then again, she was more important to Lucius so she could persuade Lucius to replace her and he probably would.
It made her heart sink.
“Each room has a sensor built in,” Alexia said quickly, smoothing her skirt and straightening her glasses. “The moment someone accesses it without the owner’s permission, the attack arrays activate. First it scans. If you’re not registered in the database… you’re eliminated.”
“I see…” Luna said slowly. “Convenient feature.”
They left Elara’s room and shut the door behind them.
Alexia pointed ahead. “I’m not sure we have much time left… I still have to show you the other two buildings.”
She gestured to a door on the right. “That one’s for Villy. Lady Blood Reaper suggested she sleep closer to Lucius so she can reach him quickly if needed.”
Then she nodded at the opposite door. “That’s Lady Blood Reaper’s room. She’s already stocked it with… important things. We’re not allowed to open it.”
Finally, she walked to the massive double doors at the very end of the hallway.
“This,” Alexia said, taking a dramatic breath, “is Lucius’s master bedroom.”
She pushed both doors open at once.
Luxury hit them like a physical force.
The room was obscene.
A bed the size of a small house dominated the center and it was draped in black silk sheets.
It could easily fit five people with room for a sixth to stretch.
To the left, a vending machine hummed… it was fully stocked with glowing cans and bottles.
Luna’s eyes went round.
“We got a vending machine,” Alexia said proudly. “Restocked every week. Go wild.”
Cold air whispered from the automatic air condition making the air cooler.
A massive curved television took up one wall.
“This is one of the best brands currently in the country… It works on voice control.” Alexia said, “Though everything in this room is accessed with your voice only so I can’t use it.”
In front of it sat a couch so Alexia sat down on it and sank halfway through…
“This is the softest couch in the world right now,” she mumbled. It was really comfy.
Lucius barely heard her.
His eyes were locked on the far elegant door at the side of the room.
Alexia caught the look.
“The other features?” She remembered instantly. “Yes, come this way.”
She led him through the side door into the private bath.
Lucius actually gasped.
Tears threatened to spill from his eyes.
The tub was a masterpiece… it was black, and looked to be carved from a single block.
The size of the tub was easily big enough for three. And there were crimson jewels on the body.
“This is the Tempest Tub,” Alexia explained. “It’s the same brand as your tempest car and voice-activated too. Maids refill it with fresh water every morning. You can give it orders on how to heat your water…”
Lucius stepped forward. “I want my water at 42 degrees with a lot of steam and bubbles.”
The jewels flared and in seconds… the tub was steaming and he could feel that this was the perfect heat.
‘Such perfection…’ Lucius thought, wiping a traitor tear from his eye. ‘That woman who made Tempest… you’re the best.’
He turned to Alexia. “Are we going to the top floors?”
“N-no,” she said, shaking her head. “I don’t have authority there. Lady Blood Reaper will guide you herself. For now, let’s check the first building outside, apart from the maid quarters.”
They stepped out into the sunlight minutes later.
Alexia had been boasting about it the whole walk.
“This training room has advanced gravity chambers, adaptive sparring dummies, full elemental simulation. You’ll love it.”
The doors slid open automatically.
Someone was already inside.
A lean guy in shorts stood in the center ring.
He turned when they entered, smirking at Alexia.
“Hey, sissy. Why are you standing there with such a morti—”
The words died.
His eyes met Lucius’s.
In the next moment he was on the floor with his forehead pressed onto the ground.
His body folded in perfect prostration too.
“My lord! My king! My peerless eminence!” he cried with reverence. “I have awaited this moment for so long… Please, will you take me as a student and bestow your endless knowledge upon me!”
