Chapter 137: The GUILD’s Future [II]
“If I may…”

A man seated halfway down the polished meeting table raised his hand before standing, just from his voice alone… Lucius could tell that he hated this guy’s guts.

“What exactly is the purpose of this it—”

Lucius’s sigh cut him off before he could finish.

“Don’t get your panties in a twist… I was about to explain.”

The man froze mid-sentence, his jaw locking tight.

The others looked between them.

Even Vanessa, seated at the head of the table, had to hide her smirk behind a hand.

Lucius adjusted the cuff of his lab coat, ignoring the stares as he reached into the small cart beside him.

“Now, before our dear friend here starts writing complaint letters, let’s get to the point.”

He lifted a ring between his fingers.

Under the light, the silver surface glowed, reflecting a ghostly blue sheen.

It looked simple but at the same time… It didn’t… It was a complicated feeling.

“What does this look like?” Lucius asked, holding it high.

The same man crossed his arms. “A ring.”

Lucius grinned. “Exactly. A ring. But not just any ring.”

He vanished.

The sudden pulse of spatial energy made papers flutter, chairs screech, and one poor analyst drop his pen in shock.

Lucius reappeared right beside Vanessa.

“Guild Leader,” he said, his voice as smooth as ever, “if I may?”

Vanessa blinked, clearly caught off guard. “You may.”

Lucius reached forward, taking her left hand.

The entire room went quiet as his fingers brushed hers, slipping the ring carefully onto her ring finger.

The silence shattered.

A few gasps, one awkward cough, and more than a handful of exchanged glances filled the room.

Even Vanessa froze… her cheeks completely pink and lips parting in surprise.

The rest of the members looked scandalized, like they’d just witnessed a proposal mid-meeting.

Lucius didn’t seem to notice or care. “Does it feel uncomfortable?”

She shook her head slowly. “No… it fits perfectly.”

“Good,” he said, grinning. “Now tell me… do you feel it reaching out to you?”

Her brows knit slightly, but she closed her eyes as he instructed.

At first, there was nothing.

Then a strange pulse.

It wasn’t mana or heat… It tugged at her mind, like the world itself trying to whisper into her hand.

“Yes,” she murmured. “I feel… something.”

“Grab onto it.”

She obeyed.

The ring pulsed once, and space itself responded.

A ripple of distortion expanded outward, invisible but powerful enough to make everyone’s skin prickle.

Vanessa gasped, her body jerked as a vast emptiness unfolded inside her mind… a boundless, silvery void stretching endlessly in all directions.

She could sense it.

The space was hollow but vibrant, waiting for her to fill it.

Lucius smirked. “Good. That’s your personal dimension now.”

He stepped back, folding his arms behind his back. “You can store anything you want in there as long as it’s not alive. Try it.”

Vanessa blinked, staring at the large meeting table in front of her. “Anything that’s not alive?”

“Anything that fits,” Lucius replied casually. “Start small. Try that table.”

The members looked at each other like he’d lost his mind.

The table was massive… how would that fit into a ring?

Vanessa hesitated for a moment, then took a breath and focused.

The next instant, the table disappeared.

Gasps filled the air.

The sound of glasses clattering to the floor echoed, followed by the muffled curse of the same man whose drink had just soaked his uniform.

Vanessa stared wide-eyed at the empty space before her. “I… I actually did it.”

Lucius chuckled, leaning back with satisfaction. “Of course you did. You’re using my creation.”

He gestured lazily. “Now will it back.”

She nodded and focused again.

The air shimmered, and the table reappeared exactly where it had been.

Lucius snapped his fingers, and all the spilled drinks lifted from the ground, returning neatly to their positions like nothing had happened.

Even the most skeptical members stared, their mouths completely open.

“Practical,” Lucius said, “Not only that, it’s clean, efficient, and stylish. What more could you want?”

Vanessa was still looking at her hand, it was a gift from Lucius after all… “How much… space does it have?”

“Five thousand cubic meters,” Lucius said simply.

The entire room erupted.

“That’s… impossible!” someone blurted.

“That’s more than a small fortress!” another said.

Vanessa could only stare, her professional calm starting to falter. “Five… thousand?”

Lucius grinned, proud of himself.

“I know. Generous, right? But I’ve always been the charitable type.”

Villy, standing behind him, nodded proudly. “My lord truly is a genius.”

Lucius pointed a thumb toward himself. “Naturally. I made twelve after all.”

He stepped around the table. “This ring, the Spatial Compression Ring creates a stabilized internal dimension accessible only to its owner. Anything you store inside it is preserved perfectly. No decay, no mana interference, and best of all…”

He paused dramatically. “It’s indestructible. Even if someone breaks your hand, they can’t access your storage.”

“You said you made twelve?” she asked.

“Yep.” Lucius gestured toward the cart. “Twelve premium models, all identical to that one.”

He tapped the box lightly. “One for our dear Guild Leader, a few for the top members who haven’t annoyed me this week, and the rest…”

He smiled. “We auction them off.”

That immediately got everyone’s attention.

Vanessa’s expression softened as she realized his plan. “You want to make GRIMMAW the face of spatial technology.”

Lucius pointed at her. “Exactly. We won’t just be a combat guild anymore. We’ll corner trade, storage, and transport. We’ll be printing money while everyone else is still sharpening swords.”

The room erupted again, but this time it was excitement, not shock.

Lucius let the buzz simmer before raising a hand. “Before anyone gets too excited, we’re not done.”

He turned to Villy. “Second package.”

“Yes, my lord.”

Villy grabbed the smaller bundle from the lower cart and placed it in front of him.

Lucius unwrapped it, revealing another set of rings… these ones were slimmer than the rest but they still felt the same

“These,” he said, “are the standard models. The friendly versions, if you will. They only have 500 cubic meters so people should be able to afford it.”
