Chapter 377: The Alex Fury Household
CH377 The Alex Fury Household

***

Zora opened the door to find Udara standing at the doorstep.

“Why are you knocking?” Zora asked as she stepped aside to let her in.

All three of Alex’s wives had their own keys, so there was never a need for Udara to knock.

“I was worried I might interrupt… or walk in on something I shouldn’t, big sis,” Udara replied sheepishly.

“Naughty girl.” Zora tugged her cheeks, making Udara yelp softly.

Alex couldn’t help smiling at the easy rapport between his wives.

One of his earliest worries about polygamy in this world had been the cliché—women quarrelling, rivalries over status and endless petty disputes. Yet, completely thanks to Zora, this had never even come close to happening.

His Ice Empress had long established her unshakable position at the centre of their household, guiding everything with quiet authority and calm grace.

“Where did you suddenly disappear to last night?” Alex asked.

He was, if he was being honest with himself, a little aggrieved.

‘Had you not vanished midway… who knows? I might’ve enjoyed a tree-pee last night.’ he mused jokingly to himself.

“Teacher called to give me something,” Udara answered.

“What was so important that it couldn’t wait and had to take you away on your wedding night?” Alex asked, his tone more curious than accusatory.

“Master asked me to keep it a secret, but…” She shifted. “It will help with the expedition.” Udara brightened slightly. “Oh! By the way—the Earl has already made preparations for the Interplanar Gate. It should be completed today.”

“Really?” Alex asked.

He noticed the deliberate topic shift but let it go.

Udara nodded.

“In that case, knowing my father, we’ll be leaving today,” Alex said.

The door opened again—this time, Eleanor stepped in, her key in hand.

The sole elven member of the Ludevicus Imperial Clan looked utterly drained.

“Are you okay?” Zora asked, immediately guiding her to a seat.

“I’m fine, just exhausted,” Eleanor exhaled. “I had to travel to the Imperial Capital, speak with the Imperial Chancellor of Rites—which was an annoyance all on its own—and then rush back here. All in one night.”

She sank deeper into the chair. “My only saving grace was that Prince Caesar’s carriage is… somewhat comfortable.”

“If it was so important, why didn’t you use the Imperial Clan’s teleportation network? I know a couple of portals are stationed within the Dragonspine Mountain Range,” Zora asked.

“I’m just a peripheral member of the Imperial Clan. They wouldn’t allow me to use it. Even knowing its location could get me into trouble,” Eleanor replied.

“Even with Caesar accompanying you?” Zora frowned.

“Prince Caesar can use the portal network if he were alone, but not with me tagging along, and certainly not with his Excellency Archilles present as well,” Eleanor explained.

“The Imperial Clan has a lot of rules,” Alex remarked. “But I guess it makes sense—they need to maintain the network’s security. I still can’t believe they have a teleportation network spanning such a distance.”

“It’s actually common knowledge amongst the major powers that the Imperial Clan operates a teleportation network across the Empire. There are even rumours it extends to other empires,” Zora stated matter-of-factly.

“It’s one of the ways the Imperial Sun maintains dominion over the Empire, particularly the higher nobility,” Eleanor added.

“What about the Duchies and Grand Duchies? Do they have anything similar?” Alex asked.

“Almost certainly,” Eleanor affirmed. “It might not be as extensive as the Imperial Clan’s, but you can be sure the noble houses have their own networks.”

“Alright, that’s enough,” Zora cut in. “Go get some rest. It’s possible we’ll be leaving soon.”

“Wait. What? That quickly?” Eleanor’s eyes widened.

“Knowing my father, yes. If he gets his way, we’ll depart the moment preparations are complete. So you’d better rest while you still can.”

“Okay,” Eleanor nodded, moving immediately toward one of the bedrooms.

“What about you?” Alex asked.

“I’m fine,” Udara shook her head. “We should probably start preparing.”

“Everything’s arranged in one of the storerooms. I’ll have the guys move it onto a delivery carriage when it’s time to go,” Alex said. “Take this chance to rest for now.”

“Understood, master,” Udara replied.

Alex gave her with a fixed stare. Rather than correct her mistake, Udara stuck out her tongue playfully and retreated inward as well.

The playful gesture caught Alex off-guard, leaving him momentarily stunned.

Zora placed an arm on Alex’s shoulder, mock-cleaning a nonexistent tear.

“How little girl has grown? Thanks so much for your hard work, hubby,” she joked.

Thwack!

Alex immediately spanked her.

“Ah!” She let out a barely muffled cry. “You dare hit me? You, my serf, have gotten bold.” She glared at him.

“Apologies, milady. I just saw your butt was itching, so I helped scratch it,” Alex replied.

“You…!” Zora jumped on him, pushing him back into a chair and sinking her teeth into his neck.

Well, it was less a bite and more a playful nibble.

“Ah…” Alex pretended to be in pain, muffling it so as not to disturb the others who had gone inside.

The playful nibble soon escalated to licking. Before long, Zora’s mouth found Alex’s, and the two kissed passionately while Alex’s hands roamed freely over her body. The scant clothes she wore posed no real obstruction as his wolfish hands explored both her front and rear perky mounds.

Lust hung thick in the air, and it was only the thought that Earl Drake could summon them at any moment that prevented them from going further.

Still, as the foreplay continued, their desire inevitably surged.

“Let’s just do it. We’ll make it quick,” Alex suggested, unable to hold back any longer.

“Alright,” Zora agreed immediately. She too could no longer resist after tasting the forbidden fruit just hours ago.

Whine~

Alex was just about to unleash his dragon spear from the prison of his trousers when Fen’s cry interrupted them.

The couple froze. Fortunately, the wolf hadn’t woken and was merely tossing in its sleep. Still, the noise was enough to kill the mood and snap them back to reality.

“Maybe now’s not the time after all,” Zora said, rising from Alex’s thigh and readjusting her panties, which he had moved aside.

“You’re right,” Alex replied begrudgingly, shooting a brief glare at Fen’s sleeping form.

‘What man’s best friend you are… cockblocking your master,’ he thought, annoyed.

With their composure restored, the couple settled into each other’s embrace, discussing the expedition and their general plans.

About three hours later, near the crack of noon, Alex received a message from Earl Drake. As expected, it was a call to move out for the expedition.
