Chapter 706: Gaia’s Reckless Idea
“What…?”

Rael was a little puzzled upon hearing her explanation.

It was very simple.

But also uncharacteristically dangerous for someone like Gaia.

She seemed like the rational type, so hearing her say that she wanted to teleport directly to the Divine Realm and destroy it was a little…

“I’m in.”

Obviously fucking exciting.

“Very well. Anna, could you infuse your soul eating skills into our abilities once we get there?” Gaia asked.

Anna tilted her head slightly.

“If that’s what you want, sure.”

Then, she turned to Rael.

“As for you… just toss a lot of the Heavenly Slashes at the city, and I’ll take care of the rest.”

“Uh… Yes, ma’am.”

The moment he called her ma’am, Gaia approached him, bonked him over the head, and then walked past him.

Rubbing his head, Rael turned toward her, only to realize she had already created a wormhole.

And he didn’t need to guess where it would take them.

“What about Lucien though?” Rael asked.

Gaia rolled her eyes.

“If he appears as he is now, then I will kill him. He’s stronger only when he’s at full power. As it stands, after his vessel died, he hasn’t had enough time to recuperate.”

“And what if he did?” Rael posed the question. “We’ve seen him do plenty of unbelievable things. So what if he just replaces himself with someone from a different timeline who hadn’t fought us?”

“That’s not possible. He might exist across several timelines, but he can’t recover from damage like that so quickly. I can assure you that much as someone who’s seen the impossible plenty of times,” Gaia replied.

Hearing that, he was a little more at ease.

And so, after seeing Gaia wave and enter the wormhole alongside Anna, he entered as well.

When he reappeared, to his surprise, he was directly above the Divine Realm.

From so high up, it looked like an endless city.

But who really cared?

In an instant, thousands of angels that were along the wall suddenly flew upward and launched dozens of light attacks toward the three of them.

However, not only was Rael completely unaffected, the attacks literally dissipated the moment they hit Gaia’s body.

Her expression darkened slightly.

Then, she snapped her fingers.

In an instant, every single incoming angel shriveled up as their faces turned wrinkly.

It didn’t take long for them to look like literal mummies.

Honestly… Rael was impressed by how Gaia used her Law of Time.

She drained the life force out of people and aged them eons of years in the blink of an eye.

He thought that the angels and Ancient Primordials were immortal.

Could she be also taking away their immortality somehow?

Either way, Rael glanced over at the angels that all began to fall from the sky in unison.

It was an oddly beautiful sight.

Yet once the angels crashed back down into the Divine Realm, that was the moment Gaia, Anna, and Rael finally made their move.

Rael took a deep breath and then summoned several dozen Heavenly Slashes.

Gaia levitated beside him with her arms crossed.

And when she saw the tens of Heavenly Slashes scattered all above him, she gave him a nod.

In the next instant, Rael lowered his hand and sent exactly 18 Heavenly Slashes all throughout the Divine Realm.

They fell slowly.

But once they hit the ground, Rael was pleasantly surprised to see them expand thousands of times in diameter.

It was as though 18 miniature black holes descended onto the city.

But those miniature black holes soon expanded drastically, covering thousands of kilometers of the Divine Realm in the blink of an eye.

The black holes reached Rael and Gaia, but they didn’t deal any damage as they merely bounced off the barrier that Gaia had made.

Just then, Rael managed to catch a glimpse of the Divine Realm, and to his surprise, the areas that the black holes hit had turned into nothing but ash and dust.

The Divine Realm was in total destruction, with corpses of powerful angels and civilians scattered all around.

It was brutal.

And yet the black holes continued to expand even more, enveloping more of the Divine Realm and causing even more destruction.

There were several higher beings trying to resist the attack, but it clearly wasn’t working.

Gaia somehow managed to enhance his Heavenly Slashes, and because of the soul damage Anna added to the Heavenly Slashes, they became pretty much unstoppable.

But aside from the destruction, Rael was more preoccupied with the number that was constantly rising in his peripheral vision.

<Law of Infinity (MAX) – 8.37% → 11.32% Mastery>

<Law of Infinity (MAX) – 11.32% → 13.55% Mastery>

<Law of Infinity (MAX) – 13.55% → 17.77% Mastery>

Sheesh.

It was going up really fast.

And for that, Rael simply smiled and relaxed for a moment, enjoying the destruction.

However…

“Cast some more. We’re not finished,” Gaia said.

Rael froze for a moment.

But when he realized that she was being totally serious, he nodded and cast 20 more Heavenly Slashes, all of which caused just as much destruction as the first bout of Heavenly Slashes.

Except this time, Gaia seemed to have done something more, as Rael’s Heavenly Slashes began merging with the ones that were already ravaging the Divine Realm.

And in just a few minutes, there was a single, massive black hole, absorbing everything in sight and erasing the souls of those in the vicinity.

Rael was stunned at the sight, but before he could admire it further, Gaia suddenly tapped on his shoulder, snapping him out of it.

“We should get moving. The Ancient Primordials who were after us finally realized what’s happening. I can also use this spatial disruption to not leave behind a trace, so we can return safely.”

He paused for a few moments, then nodded.

A faint smile appeared on Gaia’s face.

Then, she slashed the space in front of them, creating a barely stable wormhole.

And without waiting for either his or Anna’s input, she tossed the two of them through it.
