Chapter 705: The Chasers
Rael watched in shock as Gaia effortlessly dismembered every one of the Ancient Primordials that remained and literally began toying with them, until finally slitting their throats and crushing their souls.

All that in less than 10 seconds, whereas Rael would probably be dead by now.

The overwhelming difference in power really was something to admire, but even so, Gaia soon finished up and eventually walked back to Rael.

When she returned, she simply wiped the dust off her clothes and gave him a nod.

“Loki and one other escaped,” she said.

Rael froze for a moment.

“…They didn’t look like they escaped?”

“They did. However, it looked like they only brought 99% of their souls here. They kept a single percent elsewhere. If I had to guess, they will likely regenerate the rest of their souls.”

“There’s such a thing?” Rael was stunned. “So doesn’t that just make them essentially immortal?”

Gaia nodded.

“For the most part, yes. If I was a little more aware, I would’ve been able to kill them directly, but since I just woke up not too long ago… sadly, that thought didn’t cross my mind.”

“I see… Don’t worry about it, I guess. Since you got one, that’s more than enough.”

Not counting the hundreds of others she killed, the Ancient Primordials had just taken a massive loss.

Rael was a little happy about that, but he was also sure that in doing so and allowing two of the Ancient Primordials to escape, he was going to fast-forward the war.

But so what?

The war was bound to happen anyway, so he didn’t ponder over it anymore.

Instead, he walked up to Gaia and gave her a pat on the head.

It felt natural at the time.

But seeing her confused expression… he kind of guessed that she wasn’t like Lilith, who melted the moment he patted her head.

So he cut that out.

“Anyways, are you ready to return?” Rael asked.

Gaia blankly nodded once again.

And without wasting a single second, she grabbed Rael’s and Anna’s collars.

Then, their figures blurred.

Rael could only see darkness for a few short seconds.

That was when Gaia abruptly stopped.

The moment she did, he found himself standing in front of the base of Yggdrasil, beside the end of the root where Anna and he had first entered this place.

He was surprised that it took Gaia so little time to cross that big of a distance.

But then again, she was at least a couple thousand times faster than him, so that explained it.

Once she set them all down, the three of them swiftly approached the area where they entered the wormhole, and as expected, there was a slight crack in space that swirled aggressively.

It wasn’t that bad when he first entered.

But even so, Rael was prepared to enter it.

Up until the point he suddenly halted right as he was one step away from going through.

For a brief moment, his foresight triggered and showed him what might lie on the other side.

And sadly… the other side was filled with nothing but Ancient Primordials and an arena where he couldn’t easily escape.

Someone rerouted the wormhole.

Glancing over to Gaia, it looked like she already knew.

“So now what?”

Gaia didn’t seem that phased, though.

Instead, she raised her arm and suddenly began moving it rapidly.

In turn, the space around her began to distort, and within just a few seconds, yet another crack formed.

It absorbed the energy of the rerouted wormhole, and soon enough, it was the only thing that remained.

It didn’t look that strange either…

“This should bring us to the outer bounds of the Divine Realm.”

Without saying another word, she was the first to enter.

Then, Anna jumped in too, and lastly, it was Rael’s turn.

He rolled his eyes and jumped through as well.

After a few brief moments of feeling as though his body was being ripped apart, he quickly found himself in space once again.

Though very far away, he could see a bright light that was akin to a star.

But upon a closer look, he realized that it was the massive Divine Realm.

It seemed like he underestimated its size if it could shine like this.

Either way, he soon felt several powerful manas head toward the three of them, and if he had to guess, they were the Ancient Primordials and maybe even the angels.

However, before he could prep himself to fight, Gaia suddenly broke the wormhole she had personally created.

Then, with another slash, she made a wormhole directly to a nearby galaxy, and after grabbing Anna and Rael, she went through it, making sure to shatter the wormhole once she was inside.

A few seconds later, the Ancient Primordials arrived, but upon seeing that no one was there, they began searching the nearby planets, stars, and even the confines of space.

On the other hand, Rael reopened his eyes, only to find himself buried under several meters of sand.

He quickly dug himself out, and once he glanced around, he spotted Gaia and Anna standing not too far away, chatting amongst each other.

As for this world itself… it was a little confusing.

The sky was endless space, but the ground itself was a massive, never-ending desert.

It was quite interesting, to be honest, but even so, Rael didn’t care much about these fancy planets.

So he simply approached Gaia, who soon turned toward him.

“I bet we have a few minutes before they find us. I can keep teleporting us away, but it looks like at this pace, they’re going to chase us all the way back to your world.”

Hearing that, Rael tilted his head slightly.

“Can’t you create a fake trail?”

“I’ve created a few hundred trails already. I’m saying they’ll find us anyway,” Gaia replied.

“Huh… I guess we should fight them then,” Rael said, rubbing his temples.

“Not necessarily…”

Gaia let out a sigh.

“We can try…”
