Chapter 702: The Return
The moment it did, Gaia’s form twisted slightly as she was suddenly sucked inside the egg, not even being able to say goodbye.
Rael immediately stood up and tried to approach the egg, only to be pushed back several meters.
It looked like he couldn’t actually go near the egg.
But it also looked like he wouldn’t have to wait for long, as the cracks constantly expanded, eventually covering the entire egg.
And ultimately, right as another crack resounded, Rael was abruptly pushed out of Gaia’s Mind Realm.
As he opened his eyes in the real world, he found himself embedded several hundred meters deep inside the ice.
It seemed that when he was pushed back, he was also pushed back in here.
Regardless of that, he flew back up slowly and then stood in front of the egg.
Anna was right beside it too.
More importantly, Rael saw a few small snow angels, likely done by Anna herself.
Now, she was merely making a snowman.
Despite her age, she was oddly childish and naive at times.
But then again, she had no chance to explore the world, and she had only seen everything through Solenne’s eyes.
Now, my eyes.
Still, I didn’t interrupt her and watched the egg as its cracks expanded.
Light began to shine from within.
And after just a few more hours of waiting, the shell of the egg began to fall off, revealing a woman inside.
Her skin was perfectly smooth, and her dark green hair was especially long, flowing out of the eggshell.
Rael glanced at her from a different angle and saw that her eyes were slightly open.
Her ocean-blue eyes were also as beautiful as he remembered, and it was honestly surprising she hadn’t met anyone and settled down.
Because Rael sure as shit knew he would settle down with her.
Nonetheless, he waited around, and once the eggshells finally revealed Gaia’s naked body, she opened her eyes fully and glanced around.
She looked a little dazed, and her eyes didn’t have the same shine to them as before.
But that was likely because of how long she hadn’t been in her own body.
Rael let her adjust to her body at her own pace, and on the other hand, he decided to inspect her.
Yet the moment he did, he was left stunned.
<Gaia, ??? [Grade 14 Apocalypse Class | Level 33] – Vitality: Tier 100 (MAX) [4% / 100% HP]>
Grade 14?
How was something like that even possible?
Rael saw all the Grades above 11 vanish when he searched through the Eternal Dream’s memories.
Was she an exception?
Or was she just severely limited because of that fact…?
Although he didn’t know anything, the sheer fact that she wasn’t disappearing meant that this universe accepted her.
And so, when her eyes returned to normal, Gaia took a deep breath and exhaled.
“This feels a little strange,” she said, inspecting her naked body.
“I remember my curves being a little bigger than this. I also know my hair was longer.”
“Maybe it’s because you were malnourished?” Rael chimed in.
She turned to him and tilted her head slightly.
“I do not get malnourished.”
Rael shrugged.
“Just a thought. Anyways… are you feeling cold?”
She shook her head.
“Not particularly.”
Rael pointed at her chest.
“Although I’d love to continue staring for a bit longer, you’re fully naked. Want some clothes?”
The moment she heard that, Gaia froze.
When she glanced down and saw her naked form, she just nodded at him, accepting his kind gesture.
Rael reached into the Premium Shop and bought some warm winter clothes for her, which Gaia put on immediately, and then acted as if she wasn’t feeling embarrassed.
“How are you?” Rael asked the obvious. “Any discomfort?”
Gaia met his gaze, then nodded.
“Upon reconsideration, I believe I’m a little hungry.”
Hearing that, Rael let out a chuckle.
She was oddly formal, but he knew that once she regained all of her wits, she would return to her usual self that she displayed around him.
As for the food, Rael snapped his fingers, and in an instant, a whole buffet appeared in front of them, alongside a table and hundreds of dishes.
Anna didn’t wait for the go-ahead as she stopped building the snowman and sat down.
He thought she would eat, but instead, she yoinked a carrot from the table and stuck it onto the snowman.
Satisfied, she finally sat down and dug into the food.
Rael and Gaia stared at her speechlessly.
But then, after snapping out of it, Rael pulled back the chair for Gaia, and she sat down.
He sat down beside her.
“Anything in particular you want to eat?” Rael asked.
Gaia glanced around the table, then pointed at the giant turkey.
“I would like to try that first.”
Rael nodded and brought the turkey over to her.
She picked up a knife and fork, stuck them into the turkey, slashed off a piece, and put it into her mouth.
Rael observed her quietly and watched as her expression turned to one of bliss.
The stiff Gaia was pretty much gone now, and all that from a single turkey leg.
Chuckling at the sight, Rael dug into the food too, and it was delicious.
Though, when he thought about where this food actually came from, he couldn’t help but laugh a little.
After all, the Premium Shop took something that already existed and gave it to him.
That meant that he pretty much just stole someone’s whole dinner.
He just really hoped it wasn’t someone’s wedding.
Yet as he glanced to the side and spotted a massive cake with two people on top, Rael nodded to himself.
It’s indeed a fucking wedding.
But times were tough.
He couldn’t be picky.
And if anything…
Yeah.
There was no upside to this.
Rael just ruined someone’s wedding.
Regardless of that, at the very least, Gaia, Anna, and he were happy with the delicious meal.
And so, with those thoughts, the three of them began feasting on the food.
