Chapter 550: Ascending
<Ascension class: Apocalypse>
“…?”
What? Rael leaned forward on the toilet, his eyes wide. He had used the ball to check his progress, but this went beyond his wildest expectations.
He didn’t even remember doing that much, so how did…
I need to check my feats again, don’t I?
<Unnamed, The True Platinum Overlord>
—Best feats:
4. Won fairly against 2 Supreme Monsters: Vatyra, The First Phoenix; Chronos, Monarch of Time. Survived an encounter against 6 Supreme Monsters and 1 Divine Monster (???)
3. Obtained the Supreme Beast’s inheritance. (???)
2. Recognized by two Ancient Primordials: Nyx, The Goddess of Eternal Slumber; Tiamat, The Mother of Gods. (???)
1. Survived the causality of inevitable death. (???)
<Estimated Ascension Class: Apocalypse>
So it’s true. Rael groaned. The fourth place feat changed, but even then, it isn’t better than the Supreme Beast’s Inheritance feat.
On the other hand, meeting Nyx and Tiamat seemed to be above the Supreme Beast’s Inheritance. It was a bit strange, but if he had to guess, the Supreme Beast was someone below the Ancient Primordials but definitely much higher than the Supreme Monsters.
Even then, that causality of inevitable death bullshit is still there, Rael thought, crossing his legs. That’s something I’d find out about through the Memory Record, but I already have my suspicions…
The moment Gaia told him about how the World Awakening worked, he had an inkling he was the one who caused it.
It was a really dumb idea, but he couldn’t dismiss it.
Something must have happened on that world for someone to have to interfere. According to the healer Julian, his sister woke up shortly after the apocalypse started, so if he had to guess, something related to her caused it.
But maybe I’m just shooting too far ahead. I doubt the future me didn’t know what he was getting himself into by doing this.
Nonetheless, he went ahead and proceeded with the Ascension.
<Ascension is starting!>
Unlike last time, when he had felt some pain and dizziness, this time it was far more peaceful. So peaceful, in fact, that he even closed his eyes, waiting for the ascension to conclude.
And after waiting just a few minutes for the ascension to finish, he finally reopened his eyes, seeing a very lovely sight.
<Current Ascension: Grade 2 Calamity Class>
<Ding!>
<Constitution to HP Ratio: 1 Constitution: 100,000 HP → 1 Constitution: 500,000 HP>
<Intelligence to MP Ratio: 1 Intelligence: 100,000 MP → 1 Intelligence: 500,000 MP>
<Supreme Beast’s Strength to Attack Power Ratio: 1 Supreme Beast’s Strength: 10 Attack Power → 1 Supreme Beast’s Strength: 40 Attack Power>
<Draconic Intelligence/Fated One’s Willpower to Spell Power Ratio: 1 Draconic Intelligence/Fated One’s Willpower: 12 Spell Power → 1 Draconic Intelligence/Fated One’s Willpower: 50 Spell Power>
The increases were major. Calamity Class would have likely doubled his stats, but Apocalypse Class practically quadrupled them.
Yet he knew that was nowhere near the end. With the giant increase in power and his stat limit being pushed upward, Rael still had one more crucial pop-up to take care of.
<Ding!>
<You may either choose a [Ultimate-Special] rarity Premium perk or upgrade one of your currently existing perks!>
<Upgrade Perk>
<Premium Perk Selection>
Normally, he wouldn’t hesitate to go for the selection and get yet another overpowered Ultimate Premium Perk, but not this time.
He had thought this last time, but… what exactly was Premium Leveling really good for?
Sure, he currently used it to max out the levels of his skills every time he got them, but then there was the stat-wise problem. He had no way of investing money into it without suffering a loss.
Just getting a single special stat would set him back trillions, if not quadrillions. It was a perk meant solely for leveling up, not strengthening himself.
And now here’s the tricky part. He didn’t mind the stats bit since he had other ways to get them, but he did like the Trell-to-experience option.
The problem was that the conversion was 2:1. He would need to spend 2 Trell to get 1 experience point.
It might not seem like a lot, but if I spend 10 trillion Trell, I would only get 5 trillion Trell worth of stuff…
And he knew this skill would come in extremely handy very soon, so with that in mind…
<Upgrade Perk chosen!>
<Which Premium Perk would you like to upgrade?>
<Ding!>
<Premium Leveling [Special-Unique] → Premium Leveling [Ultimate-Unique]>
<New features unlocked!>
1. (NEW) You may now use currency to level up restricted skills.
2. Currency to Experience conversion: 2:1 → 1:1
3. (NEW) You may now raise Specialized Stats with currency.
4. (NEW-Special) Instead of doubling every 10 stats, a single Specialized Stat purchase now costs a flat amount of 1 Premium Coin / 1,000,000,000 Trell
“…”
Jackpot.
He had honestly upgraded it purely for the conversion, but now, he had a very overpowered way to get stats.
Let’s see here… Rael quickly checked his balance.
•—Balance: 14,599 Premium Coins—•
It had been a pretty good day for his Dimensional Shop, so he earned a metric shit ton. And with this metric shit ton, he could buy 14,599 Specialized Stats, which would translate to roughly 14.599 trillion normal stats.
This is a much bigger boon than I thought… Heh.
Rael closed the interface and took a deep breath.
Frankly, before he went through with the Ascension, he had reached level 4,500, which in turn allowed him to claim yet another Premium Perk Selection option.
He really wished he could just keep leveling up to tens of thousands while staying Grade 1, but in reality, he was fearful of Solenne popping up out of nowhere.
Even if he had the Fate Affinity and was able to see slightly into the future, what if she could just bypass it?
It’s fine… After I’m done with this and merging my second phase and dragon transformation, I’ll go conquer a few worlds. I’ll make sure that I don’t even need to move a muscle to get money. All I’ll need then will be Law mastery.
A faint smile appeared on his face, and while he had held off using the Premium Perk Selection earlier, it was about time he went ahead and used it.
