Chapter 313: Undyne’s Injuries, She is Innocent?
“Mother!”

Vyxen’s voice cut through the smoke as she rushed toward Undyne.

“Queen!”

The soldiers followed right behind her, their steps loud against the trembling ground as they hurried to surround their leader.

All of them stared at Undyne with wide, shaken eyes because none of them had expected to see her fall in such a violent and sudden way.

Even if she was the strongest among them, even if her body carried a durability no one else could match, they understood one simple truth.

There were things in this realm far stronger than even their queen.

And right now, Sam’s attack had proven that clearly.

Cough!

Undyne gagged as more blood spilled from her mouth, dripping down her chin and staining the ground under her.

The spikes from Sam’s skill were still lodged deep inside her body, each one pulsing with the residual energy of his affinity, and even though she resisted most injuries with ease, this one had pierced deeper.

She still wasn’t weakened enough to collapse, but she was damaged, and everyone around felt the weight of that realization.

Sam watched her closely with a faint grin touching his expression, the clone right beside him mirroring the same look.

‘Didn’t expect anything less from the class skill of the third strongest affinity,’ Sam thought as he tightened his grip on his primordial sword, ‘I guess… it should be fine.’

He stepped forward, closing the distance one slow step at a time before lifting the sword and pointing it right at her.

“I don’t want to fight you,” Sam said, his tone steady and unshaken, “I just wish to end this.”

“H-Haha…” Undyne laughed through clenched teeth as her body trembled under the damage, “You are… insane…”

Sam blinked once, then glanced at the clone beside him, and the two tilted their heads slightly at the same time.

It was absurd that she acted like he was unreasonable.

She had tried to kill him without hesitation.

She had killed him hundreds of times.

Did she truly expect him to accept that without retaliation?

[She won’t stay down for long.]

Sam looked at the panel floating in front of him and nodded at its words.

Undyne’s aura was already shifting, rising up around her like a storm as she forced herself back onto her feet.

Even after being impaled internally by the spikes, even after losing more blood than any mortal could survive, her determination still burned brightly.

It pulsed around her like a beacon that refused to be dimmed.

Determination Intuition!

Sam activated the class skill, and instantly, a wave of pressure slammed into him from Undyne’s direction.

Her determination appeared before his eyes like a raging inferno, powerful enough to make even him widen his gaze.

[Holy shit.]

Her determination was matching his own.

That alone said everything about her resolve.

Sam’s was fueled by the desire to escape this realm, to grow strong enough to defeat the Colossals and the King, to break free from the chain that bound him here.

But Undyne’s determination came from something far more selfless.

From her desire to protect her people.

From her belief that her life was meant to shield others from every threat.

She wasn’t fighting for herself.

She was fighting for everyone she cared about.

Sam could feel it clearly, and for a moment he understood why her resolve felt so powerful.

“You know I’m just gonna do this over and over, right?” Sam said calmly, “You can’t kill me, let’s talk.”

“H-Haha…” Undyne laughed again, breath shaky, eyes sharp, “You’re like… all of them…”

Her determination spiked higher the moment she spoke.

Sam could feel it expanding like a force that swallowed the entire valley, the intensity growing every passing second.

Every breath she took sharpened her resolve.

Every blink strengthened her will.

[No point anymore, let’s end this.]

Sam stared at the panel, then let out a long breath.

If she was this certain, then he had no choice.

She wouldn’t negotiate.

She wouldn’t stop.

And as long as she kept pushing forward, Sam would eventually be forced to show his full strength.

He used another class skill to confirm his thoughts.

[Void Watcher: she NEEDS to protect her people. It’s not a grudge.]

Sam exhaled slowly as he felt the truth settle in.

Even now, with her body torn open from the inside, she still placed the safety of her people above anything else.

She didn’t hate him. She feared what he could bring.

He activated another ability.

Blood Verdict!

A red glow flickered around his hand as he triggered it.

He hadn’t used this skill earlier because Undyne rarely bled, but now with the wounds carved deep into her form, he thought it would activate right away.

Once the verdict bar filled, a punishment would be applied.

He hoped it could give him a chance.

But—

Ding!

[“Undyne” is innocent, cannot judge.]

“Are you kidding me?” Sam growled as he felt frustration rise in his chest, “She’s as guilty as can be, she… hurt us!”

[Verdict: Innocent.]

Sam’s jaw tightened.

“Holy hell, I’ll have to do it myself.”

He lifted his sword again, facing Undyne and the soldiers around her, ready to press forward if she attacked again.

Primordial Tendrils!

The blade shifted, birthing long, dark tendrils that shot forward, each one strong enough to cut through steel like it was nothing.

But the moment they touched Undyne’s aura, they evaporated as if touching fire.

A faint blue glow began to form around Undyne’s figure, swirling upward in slow, concentric circles.

[Kill her before she gets her power boost.]

‘…Right.’

Sam turned to look at his clone, who simply nodded with a wide smile.

“=)”

The clone raised its sword high above its head, and instantly the valley began to vibrate.

The Primordial Clone was powerful not because of its strength but because it could use every ability Sam had, each with its own independent cooldown.

That included the most powerful ones.

Such as [Primordial Barrier], [Primordial Lightning], and the deadliest of all…

[Supernova].

This meant that Sam could keep the ability for himself while also letting the clone use it.

He wasn’t sure if the [Ultimate Skill], [My Last Stand Before Death], applied to the clone since that one was bound directly to his soul.

But everything else?

The clone had access to all of it.

SUPERNOVA!

The moment the clone activated it—

BOOOOOOOM!

A colossal explosion erupted outward, the shockwave rattling the entire [Soul Realm] to its core.

A tear split open the sky like someone had ripped the heavens apart.

The sound reverberated across mountains, valleys, and kingdoms, loud enough for even distant lands to feel its vibration.

“Still as beautiful,” Sam whispered as he looked up, watching the rift crack wider, “But… it seems much stronger than before.”

He had used it before against the celestials, but they had nullified it instantly.

They had treated it like nothing.

But even then, he remembered how powerful it felt.

And now? This one felt different.

It felt sharper, darker, and far heavier.

[It’s fueled by our aura and affinities.]

“Oh.”

Sam nodded at the explanation.

He had gained the [Death] affinity, he had leveled up, and he had strengthened his body and soul since that last attempt.

Naturally, the [Supernova] was stronger as well.

“O-OH GOD…”

“Well, we’re dead.”

“Damn, feels like the entire world is ending.”

The soldiers trembled as they stared up at the impending destruction bearing down on them.

Undyne, however, didn’t flinch.

Her already-dark expression grew even darker.

Her aura burst outward with a violent roar.

“You think you can kill my people and destroy my realm like this?” Undyne screamed as blue flames erupted from her body, “PATHETIC.”

The wounds caused by the [Death Spikes] burned with bright blue fire before fully sealing shut.

Massive wings of pure blue aura burst from her back.

Hundreds of [Soul Spears] formed around her at once, filling the entire sky in a deadly array.

Sam watched her transformation unfold.

He knew immediately that this was her real strength. This was the true queen of the [Soul Kingdom]. This was Undyne’s unleashed form.

“Let’s both go all out then,” she shouted with a wild grin, completely unafraid of the supernova building around her.

[She’s insane.]

“We all are.”
