“Ohh. That is good, but remember that no matter how much you have grown, you will always be my daughter.” Saying this, Ethan bent his knees and jumped up.

Ethan’s body soared into the sky, shooting up like a missile, which made Miranda gasp and close her eyes.

Then she felt herself suspended.

The next moment she opened her eyes and was greeted by a beautiful sight.

“Ahh… We are flying?” she screamed, looking around with amazement.

She saw the Blank City below, its white stone buildings shining under the sun.

The rooftops glowed like gentle silver. The streets looked tiny, filled with people moving like small dots. Beyond the city walls, she saw a vast green forest spreading like a giant carpet.

The trees swayed with the wind and looked like waves moving in slow rhythm. Farther away, she saw mountains rising high, their peaks covered in faint clouds. The sky above her was bright and wide, and the cool wind touched her cheeks. Her eyes sparkled with awe.

She was mesmerized by the sight.

“Are we really flying?” she asked again in shock.

“Nah. It is just a technique of mine.”

“Techniq…” She paused as she noticed Ethan constantly pedaling his steps in the air, creating faint air shocks that kept them suspended.

“Awwww… Daddy, you are so cool. Teach me. Teach me.” Miranda pleaded excitedly.

“You are too weak now. Once you reach my level you can do it too.”

“For real?” Miranda asked with hope.

“For real.” Ethan smiled proudly.

They continued talking, sharing small cute conversations as they hovered across the sky.

“Congratulations, Miranda, for stepping into the Knight path.”

“Thanks, Daddy, but where is my gift?”

“What do you want?” Ethan asked with a loving, doting smile.

The question made Miranda think for a moment.

“Can I have a tail like Leo?”

“I was just joking!” Miranda teased and then started to think seriously.

“Now what do I want…” She tried to think but she could not come up with anything. From her birth until now she had been given everything, so she never lacked anything.

After a moment she remembered something and whispered into Ethan’s ear. His eyes widened in surprise.

“Are you sure you want that?” Ethan asked in shock.

“Yes.”

“But…”

“No. I only want that. Please give it to me. I swear I will not let you down.”

Ethan hesitated a bit and then spoke. “Okay, but you need to wait a bit. I need to arrange some things before I give it to you.”

“Ok.”

With that, the two toured around the sky for a while. Finally, when they landed, they saw the house in chaos.

“What is going on?”

“My Lord, where the hell have you gone?” Randall shouted. His voice startled Miranda, who quickly jumped down from Ethan’s shoulders in fright.

“I went to take a fly. What happened?”

“It is Lady Rina. She has gone into labour.”
