- Chapter 214 - 214 214Warm Sweet Home
214: 214:Warm Sweet Home 214: 214:Warm Sweet Home His wives snuggled against him.
They asked if he was hurt, if he had eaten, and if anything dangerous had happened.
Each one wanted reassurance at the same time.
Ethan found himself surrounded by their warmth, the scent of home, and the sound of familiar voices.
He felt himself relax for the first time in many days.
Sophia placed her hand on his arm and checked him quickly.
“You are not injured, are you?” she asked with worry in her voice.
Before he could respond, she started to strip his clothes to check.
“Wait… Wait…” Ethan protested, but by that time all of them worked together and he was stripped of his upper clothes.
They inspected him to make sure he was alright and searched for any marks or injuries.
Rina stepped closer, her eyes scanning him from head to toe.
“You look fine, but I do not trust appearances,” she murmured and she reached up to feel his forehead gently to check if he had a fever.
Diana gave him a light push on his shoulder.
“You could at least send a message instead of letting us wait here worrying,” she said.
Her tone sounded harsh at first, though the softness underneath made her real concern clear.
Rina stepped forward next.
“Ethan, tell us you did not push yourself too much,” she said while folding her arms.
Even though she looked stern, relief softened her expression.
Even Lia, who was usually quiet, leaned closer and whispered in a low voice, “My Lord… I have been having nightmares.” Before he could answer them all, Rina suddenly appeared from the hallway again and grabbed his hand firmly.
She pulled him aside to a chair without saying anything else.
She guided him to sit down and then started checking him carefully again.
Her eyes were sharp and serious as she searched for any sign of wounds.
“Tell me honestly,” she said firmly, her voice steady but urgent.
“Did the evil priest use any dangerous spells on you?
Did you suffer at all?” Ethan swayed while being pulled and poked from every side and finally he shouted loudly.
“Can you stop pulling me… Let me take some breath,” he snapped.
They all froze and looked at each other quietly.
Then they slowly backed away and sat down around him.
After that Ethan narrated the whole series of events.
They listened closely and none of them interrupted.
Rina kept her hands on his shoulders, as if she could feel the truth through touch.
She checked him over again, even running her hands along his arms and sides as if she refused to believe there were no injuries.
Only when she found nothing at all did she let out a long breath of relief.
When her eyes met his again, there was something different in her gaze.
A new sense of respect and awe.
It was then Rina shouted, “So that means… Now you can be said to be the strongest of Ruthina!” “I might be one of the strongest, not the strongest,” Ethan corrected her.
“Whatever.
That means we do not need to be afraid of the Royal, right?” Sophia asked with dazzling bright eyes that sent chills down every spine in the room.
Even though she did not say it directly, they could clearly see the excitement and danger on her face.
Even Ethan felt a shiver run down his back.
“Damn.
Do not tell me you want to rebel?” “Can we?” “It sounds so cool!” “Hell no.
Someone please shut her,”Ethan shouted.
…..
Meanwhile at the Blank Estate After finally escaping from another round of meetings, Ethan let out a tired breath and walked toward the inner courtyard.
As soon as he stepped inside, small footsteps rushed toward him.
“Father!” “Papa!” “Dad!” Before he could react, four little bodies jumped into his arms.
Ethan staggered a little yet smiled genuinely for the first time that day.
Ray was the first to calm down.
He stepped back, adjusting his small coat neatly.
His calm and intelligent eyes studied Ethan quietly.
Miranda clung to Ethan’s left side with a bright grin while tugging at his sleeve.
Herion and Nera hugged his waist tightly, their cheerful laughter echoing across the courtyard.
Behind them Leo ran in with his unsteady steps and grabbed Ethan’s leg.
He was only five yet he already tried to act like the elder one.
Ash and Meera, the smallest twins at three years old, waddled right after him and wrapped their arms around Ethan’s knee.
Ethan bent down and lifted the twins, kissing their foreheads.
He looked at all of them warmly.
“How are you all doing?” he asked as he gently rubbed Leo’s hair and lifted Miranda into his other arm.
Herion and Nera held onto his sides giggling softly while Ray watched quietly.
Miranda pouted playfully.”We missed you so much.
You were gone for so long.” Ethan let out a tired laugh and touched her cheeks.”I missed you all too.
I just got busy.” The children cheered and circled around him.
Ethan lowered himself to sit on the ground with them crawling into his lap and arms.
He let them play with his hands and hair while Ash climbed onto his shoulders and laughed loudly.
For a moment Ethan forgot everything else and only felt peace.
While he was playing with them, he suddenly noticed a particular stare drilling a hole into him.
He looked up to find Ray standing still with his arms crossed, watching him quietly with a serious expression.
“What happened?
Why are you looking at me like that?” Ethan asked.
Ray stepped closer and spoke in a low calm voice.”Father.” “Yes?” Ethan replied, raising an eyebrow.
“Did you come alone?” Ray asked again.
Ethan blinked.”What do you mean?” Ray stared straight into his eyes.
“You mean you didn’t bring any more mothers?” Silence fell instantly.
Ethan’s face darkened slowly.
A vein twitched on his forehead.
Even Miranda and the others froze.
“…” “Ray…” Ethan said in a low dangerous tone.
Before Ray could prepare himself, a loud sound exploded through the courtyard.
BOOM “AAAHHHH!” What followed was the terrible sound of someone getting smacked and thrown around.
Inside his mind Ray screamed while tumbling across the ground.
‘Damn it.
My father was right.
Some kids really need belt treatment.’Ethan muttered inwardly.
Ethan sighed heavily, rubbing his forehead in exhaustion as Ray rolled on the floor groaning.
The other kids stared wide eyed, completely silent.
