Chapter 436: Chapter 436 Carrier Ship Tour (4)
After they finished up fully exploring the bridge and checked out all of the carrier ship’s main systems, Kasandra and Jasmine elected that they would go and see the crew quarters next.

Specifically, they wanted to see their own rooms and Avery’s. For obvious reasons.

“Sure, but this will have to be the last place I show you all. There is other work that I need to attend to today. Since I’ve already handed control over to you three, it’s not like you need me to take you around anymore.”

Though Ardesen was excited to be showing off his and his team’s latest masterpiece, he knew that his other duties had been piling up while he worked on Avery’s carrier.

The other Chief Officers had been pestering him as of late to focus on other pertinent matters.

They did have a sizable contract with the Alliance Police to fill now that the competition to choose a new small ship for their fleet was over. That meant the production of hundreds of more SCXD-011s which would require the expertise of the teams that had been working on Avery’s vessel.

Without needing to use the internal transportation system, Ardesen led Avery, Kasandra, and Jasmine to where their quarters were.

While most of the crew quarters were in a separate section quite far from where they were, the officer quarters had been situated so that they were close to the bridge. That way during an emergency they could respond and make it to their stations quickly.

“As you specified, the captain’s room is quite large even for a ship of this size. It’s basically its own small apartment. And the two quarters on either side of it and the one behind it having conjoining doors that will allow for seamless entry between all of them.” Ardesen explained.

This was certainly an unusual design, but it was necessary considering Avery’s relationships.

To his quarters’ right and left were Kasandra’s and Jasmine’s rooms.

There was no doubt that the two of them would be spending a lot of time in his quarters, so instead of making them walk out into the hallway each time they came to visit, he had gone ahead and connected their rooms.

As for the third room that was joined with his, those quarters would belong to Liesel.

At this point, unless the two of them were highly incompatible with each other, it was likely that Avery was going to end up in a romantic relationship with her as well.

Both Kasandra and Jasmine had already approved, and Liesel had made her feelings very clear.

And it was not as if Avery disliked her. She was certainly very attractive and his type. Her great great grandfather being someone that he admired quite a bit did not hurt her chances either.

‘It feels a bit immoral to have connected my quarters with three women’s rooms. But it’s what they want and will make things a lot easier in the long run.’ Avery thought as he entered his new main quarters.

Inside was a lot more spacious than his room on the Dauntless.

All he had there was a single room with a bed and a small desk in it, with a connected bathroom that barely fit a shower, sink, and toilet.

What he had on his new carrier ship was actually larger than the apartment that he had lived in with his parents most of his life.

There was a wide-open living area that was equipped with high-quality media entertainment systems.

The furniture was also impressive and felt like what would be found in luxury hotel rooms.

Adjoining the living space was a modest but functional kitchen area that came with its own silver series autochef.

With this, Avery would technically never need to go to any of the three mess halls located in different areas of the ship, but he planned on trying to take most of his meals with the other crew members. Eating together was a good way to build comradery. He did not want the people he employed to never see their leader.

“Wow, the bed is huge.”

While everyone else had been marveling at the main room, Jasmine had sauntered over to Avery’s bedroom to see what it was like.

Inside was a bed larger than the entirety of his room on the Dauntless.

It was something that Avery had specially ordered since he figured that he would likely be having Kasandra and Jasmine sleeping together with him fairly often. And in the future Liesel might be joining in as well.

That’s why Avery made sure his bed would be more than large enough to comfortably accommodate four adults at the same time.

There were two other doors in his bedroom beside the entrance.

One that opened up to a decent-sized walk-in closet where he could store his clothes and other personal effects, and another that led into a fairly big bathroom.

Inside there was a full-sized bath that was huge considering that it was on a spaceship.

There was only a finite amount of room on any craft, so luxurious amenities like baths were typically excluded from construction.

However, Avery was the sole owner of this carrier ship and figured that with its size and the fact that he had paid more than half a billion Krenin for it, he could add a few things that he and his wives would enjoy.

Some people might complain and be envious of him, but he doubted that there would be too much conflict among the crew.

Though no one else was going to have quarters as grand as Avery’s, as a whole the conditions onboard were far better than would be found on just about any other ship.

Avery had made sure that every member of the crew could have their own rooms.

They were not large by any means and all facilities were shared, but no one would have roommates if they did not want any.

This and the higher-than-average pay were two of the big selling points Avery had made when going around recruiting.

There had already been hundreds of thousands of people that had signed up, and Avery and the other leaders of his team were still busy trying to choose the best applicants to join the crew of Avery’s carrier vessel.
