Chapter 430: Chapter 430 A Hot Springs Honeymoon
A day after their return to Azade, a small ceremony was set up for Avery and Kasandra’s wedding.

It was a much smaller affair than the grand wedding that he and Jasmine had had, but in many ways the atmosphere was more enjoyable.

There were only close friends and family present, and there was no need to worry about the complexity of Azade’s politics.

The reception afterwards also did not feature any real complications.

Obviously, all of the food and drinks went through several extra checks to make sure that nothing slipped into anything.

Thankfully, there was nothing amiss and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Seeing as how Jasmine had not truly gotten to enjoy her own reception, Kasandra had insisted that she join her and Avery.

This meant he ended up with a beautiful woman on both sides of him, with each of them trying to feed him different types of food that they liked at certain points during the reception.

While that was going on, Avery noticed that he was receiving some envious looks from some of the male members of his team. They were probably thinking that their boss was one lucky bastard and that they wished that they could trade places with him.

Of course, while there were less women among the members of his group, they did make up a little more than a fourth of his team’s personnel.

A number of them seemed to have found partners of their own, and a few were taking this chance to get closer to people they were interested due to the romantic atmosphere in the air.

Surprisingly, Avery saw Havanna and Rorson sitting very closely to each other in an awkward silence. They both had flush cheeks, from both the alcohol and perhaps something else.

The two of them always seemed to be bickering with each other, but maybe that had somehow led to some sort of relationship between them.

‘They’re both adults, so I’m sure that they can figure it out. Honestly, it’d be great if they could end up happy together considering the two of them are part of the group that went through hell together as Iniquus’ enslaved soldiers.’ Avery though, internally wishing them the best.

Eventually, Avery’s eyes lande don a woman that was giving him a steamy gaze. And it was not from either of his wives.

Liesel had been holding back, but as she had said, she was still going to try and pursue Avery.

From what he knew, Kasandra and Jasmine were already ready to accept her. So after giving the three of them a bit longer to enjoy their honeymoon period, she was likely to start making more aggressive moves.

‘I’ve been putting it off, but I’d better prepare myself. When I let her join my team, I knew that this was going to happen eventually. She was pretty upfront about it.’

Just a bit more than a year ago, Avery had not considered even having a single girlfriend, and now he had two wives and another woman that was infatuated with him.

There were many that would say he was fortunate, and he would have to agree.

Nevertheless, having multiple partners came with as many unique issues as it did perks. There was good and bad in everything, though Avery could not really complain about his situation.

Eventually, the reception began to wind down as the night began to overtake where they were on Azade.

Everyone began heading towards their designated sleeping quarters, whether that be in rooms provided by Regian, or their own quarters on their ships.

However, Avery, Kasandra, and Jasmine did not head in for the night.

They were heading off to their honeymoon destination tonight.

Ultimately the three of them had decided to head to a hot spring resort in the mountains.

It was not quiet the snowy retreat that Avery was looking for since the place was on the hemisphere of Azade that was currently experiencing late spring.

Still, it had several attractions that interested all three of them, and more importantly it was far away from where Rowan Listig lived and had good security. Just in case.

Taking the Dauntless, they flew up into orbit and headed across the planet to where the resort was located.

By the time they touched down and got checked into the private lodge Avery had reserved, it was late in the afternoon there.

Thanks to spending most of their time in space though, the changes in time based on the light of a system’s star did not have much meaning to any of them.

For Kasandra and Jasmine who had lived their earlier lives on planets, it might have been nostalgic. But for Avery, it was just a bit quaint. Yuson II was not a station that simulated a day and night cycle, so the colony he grew up on was always bright.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen this much wood used in a building and furniture before.” Avery said as he looked around in awe.

Growing and transporting wood off world was not easy, so it typically ended up being a very expensive material to use out in space.

Naturally, this had led to a luxury market for the material, so even on habitable planets like Azade, it was not used often.

Although, there were plenty of alternatives for building that were sturdier and longer lasting. Most people that wanted to use wood in construction did so for its aesthetic and unique smells depending on the wood.

“We really do have our own hot springs. And it’s huge. It looks like it would be big enough to swim in. Let’s hurry up and get in. I want to wash away all of my stress and fatigue.”

At Kasandra’s instance, both Avery and Kasandra held off on touring the rest of their private lodge and headed out into the open air hot spring.

The water was maintained at all times to have the generally considered ideal balance of mineral and temperature. Though, there was panel to adjust its settings to meet personal taste.

Before getting in, the three of them headed over to the washing station and cleaned themselves off.

This was not strictly necessary since they had rented their own private area and were not sharing with others, but it was apparently part of the etiquette involved in the hot spring experience.

Once the three of them had finished cleaning themselves, they all walked into the hot spring at the same time.

“Damn that feels nice.” Avery said as most of his body was submerged in the hot water.

This was very different from the showers that he normally took or even any bath he had experienced before.

It felt like the water was embracing him and sucking all of the negative emotions out of him.

Before long he was leaning up against the side of the spring and looking up into the sky that was bathed in vibrant shades of multiple colors.

Azade’s sun was beginning to set on the horizon and created a spectacular view above the open-air hot spring.

Except, it was not long before something else drew Avery attention.

While the allure of the calming water had drawn their attention for a few minutes, both Ksandra and Jasmine had slunk over to Avery and were pressing their bodies against either side of him.

Needless to say, Avery soon started feeling hot for other reasons than just the heated water.

With it having been a while for all three of them, they quickly gave into their desires and began indulging in each other’s bodies.
